Chubby Mommy: Scheming Daddy, Surrender Now!
Chapter 503: The Passage of Time
CHAPTER 503: CHAPTER 503: THE PASSAGE OF TIME
Honey was still in her room waiting for her brother to come. She had already decided which toy to lend him to hug while sleeping. Hearing the news brought by her mom, she couldn’t help but feel a bit disappointed. After sighing, an idea flashed in her mind, and she jumped off the bed, "Then I also want to find Mr. T to sleep with."
Ruby Sullivan grabbed her daughter’s collar helplessly and taught her, "Miss Sterling, please always remember that you are a lady, okay?"
Honey thought for a moment and could only sigh, "Then can I sleep with you and dad?"
Looking at her daughter’s lonely expression, Ruby couldn’t help but laugh and cry, "Your brother is sleeping with Mr. T to talk about man-to-man topics. Give me a reason, and I’ll consider it." Her daughter was seven this year, a big girl already. If she continued to pamper her like before, she would inadvertently spoil her into a little princess who only thinks of herself. Naturally, Ruby was a bit strict in her education.
Honey pursed her lips, thinking for a long time. In fact, there wasn’t any particular reason; she just didn’t feel like sleeping alone upon hearing that her brother would be with T.
She sighed, lowered her head, "Alright." Then sullenly returned to bed.
"So... good night?" Ruby probed.
The little princess, after lying down, pulled the quilt herself. Although feeling a bit unhappy, she still said "good night" to her mom.
Ethan Sterling laughed after hearing the story about the two children, "I think it’s something we should be happy about that she wants to sleep together, because soon you’ll reach the age where you want to sleep with her, yet she will be tired of it."
"That’s true." Ruby thought for a moment, "However, I rather not want her to grow up remembering that she was seven and still cling to sleep with us and then feel shameful." That way, she might be less willing to be with her parents, right?
She imagined her daughter growing up in her mind and couldn’t help but smile with her eyes crinkling.
Time flies so quickly, it always feels like just last week she was worrying about Honey’s health not stabilizing. Now, it’s been over a year since she accepted her brother’s bone marrow.
Time really can’t withstand a careful ponder, the more you think about it, the more you feel the vicissitudes.
Ruby tilted her head looking at Ethan, suddenly acting coy, "Do you think I’ve aged a lot?"
Ethan frowned, carefully scrutinizing her face, "Hearing you say that... the wrinkles at the corners of your eyes seem more noticeable..." He squinted and observed closely, seeing that the nervousness and panic in her eyes were becoming more apparent. Suddenly, he leaned in and kissed her on the forehead.
"You haven’t changed at all, still the same young and beautiful."
Ruby laughed shyly, "Could you say something more untrue?"
"Hmm... I’ll have to think about it." Ethan said, feigning a pondering look.
Ruby, annoyed, punched him in the chest, then couldn’t help but laugh first, "No need, I’ve thought about it. I am the best."
"It’s good that you know." Ethan kissed her again.
Kiss by kiss, they ended up cuddling together. Actually, Ruby had a lot to ask Ethan, like why he would seek T’s help without feeling embarrassed? His own wife was in trouble, but he had to ask for his rival’s help, what if T’s requests were difficult?
But on second thought, she felt these questions were unimportant.
A man willing to lower himself to seek his rival’s help for her, she just needed to cherish him well,
Why ask so many whys?
However, some of these questions had crossed Ethan’s mind, but he didn’t want to see his wife’s dreams shattered. Even though he knew there would still be opportunities in the future, he understood that T, as a great resource, would become increasingly difficult to use as time goes on. After careful consideration, he decided to give it a try.
Besides, if T didn’t want to meet him, he wouldn’t have allowed Ethan to find his contact information in the first place.
However, Ethan also thought of the embarrassing possibility that if T wanted Ruby in exchange, he would definitely not agree and could only let his wife wait, finding a chance to deal with the Gallian later.
Fortunately, T didn’t misjudge him; he was a real man.
Well, as for that fake man, he really didn’t want to talk about it.
Early the next morning, Ruby got up to make breakfast. Thinking of T’s taste, she prepared a very traditional Chinese breakfast, buns, fried dough sticks, and homemade soy milk, also cooked some wontons with three fillings, everything you could want to eat.
Although Ruby had given "orders" before leaving, Seth was too excited to care and outright forgot about time management. So, the two talked until 3 a.m., much like in boys’ dorms on their first night sleeping.
They couldn’t finish everything they wanted to say. Even when yawning out of drowsiness, they continued to hold on.
Of course, the one who was too sleepy to bear was naturally Seth.
When T used to perform tasks, watching for chances three days and nights was the norm. Moreover, he had trained himself to stay awake without feeling sleepy until his body reached its limit and to fall asleep instantly when needed, waking up with the slightest noise.
Even though he hadn’t lived like that for a long time, these ingrained habits in T never deviated. However, the next morning, when Ruby knocked on the door for a long time, she couldn’t wake him.
Only when she later became worried, used the key to enter, did she find the one big, one small were sleeping soundly.
Though she felt a bit pity for the breakfast she had prepared early, Seth had no school today,
Also, the two must have gone to bed too late last night, so she couldn’t bear to wake them. She turned around and quietly exited, closing the door.
When the sunlight spread across his face through the sheer curtains, T finally opened his eyes, surprised at the time.
He hadn’t slept so well in a long time, completely undisturbed by any external noise, sleeping very soundly.
Seeing Seth lying obediently beside him, even sleeping in such a proper manner, he couldn’t help but like this kid even more.
He carefully and quietly left the room, making almost no sound, and naturally, Seth did not wake up.
In the living room, Ethan was reading a book, while Ruby was sitting on the carpet, making Barbie doll dresses with Honey. The sunlight poured all over, indescribably warm and cozy.
"You’re awake?" At this moment, Mama Bennett looked up and saw T walk out, smiling and greeting him.
T
Couldn’t understand what she was saying,
But the smile on the elderly lady’s face made him feel very welcomed,
So he returned a smile.
Ruby and Ethan also greeted him.
Honey excitedly jumped up from the ground, ran over to hug T’s leg, and looked up to ask, "Uncle T, what man topics did you discuss with brother last night?"
Honey’s psychological age was still somewhat lower compared to her peers, maintaining the same vibrant curiosity as before.
