The last four words, Ruby Sullivan deliberately emphasized a bit, making them sound somewhat sarcastic.

Ethan Sterling narrowed his eyes: "What Miss Wenny said doesn’t seem very complimentary?"

"How could it be?" Ruby Sullivan raised an eyebrow, "A man of such talent like Mr. Sterling, I’m too busy admiring him to say anything else, Mr. Sterling is overthinking."

Ethan Sterling furrowed his brows, watching the woman’s smooth talk, feeling inexplicably uncomfortable.

Seeing the man’s impatience, the sarcasm at Ruby Sullivan’s lips became more apparent, she stopped looking at him, turned to pull Honey closer: "Sweetheart, say goodbye to Uncle, we’re leaving."

Honey nodded obediently: "We’re leaving, Uncle. Don’t miss Honey too much."

Ethan Sterling nodded to Honey, then looked at Ruby Sullivan: "It’s unsafe for a child to be at the airport alone, I hope next time Miss Wenny can take better care of her child."

"Of course," Ruby Sullivan’s smile remained unchanged, her gaze passing over the pile of ice cream: "I also hope next time Mr. Sterling won’t buy so many cold things to please a child, Honey has had a sensitive stomach since young, eating too much will cause diarrhea."

Ethan Sterling’s expression darkened, but looking at the pile of ice cream, ultimately said nothing. Seeing Ethan Sterling rendered speechless, Ruby Sullivan’s mood improved significantly: "Mr. Sterling, we’ll see you at the company tomorrow."

After speaking, she was ready to leave.

"Wait a moment, I have arranged a hotel for you, Howard, take Miss Wenny and her daughter to..."

"No need." Ruby Sullivan dismissed Ethan Sterling’s words with a gesture as if unseen, simultaneously placing the phone to her ear, and seemed to hear something from the other end, she smiled and nodded.

"Sorry Mr. Sterling, where were we?" Ruby Sullivan hung up the phone as if she just remembered, but before he could speak, she eagerly stood on tiptoe, waved to the other side over him, "Sasha, here!"

Ethan Sterling’s face turned completely black.

"Sorry Mr. Sterling, I’ve already arranged my accommodation," Ruby Sullivan said, pulling Honey and preparing to walk away, but paused momentarily as they brushed past each other, "As for your room, you can leave it for yourself or your girlfriend."

After speaking, she didn’t look back at him, turned around, and left.

Behind her, Ethan Sterling gazed deeply in the direction Ruby Sullivan left.

Ethan Sterling looked at the unfamiliar woman hugging Ruby Sullivan, his brows slightly furrowed.

"Go investigate Wenny’s background thoroughly," Ethan Sterling instructed, his gaze darkening.

Ruby Sullivan left holding Melody Wallace, her face turning cold.

After a while without hearing any movement from Honey, Ruby Sullivan looked down to find her still staring intently at the man behind.

She frowned slightly, gently asked: "Sweetheart, what’s wrong?"

Honey seemed not very enthusiastic, turning her little yellow duck around with a somewhat low voice: "I just wonder if I’ll never see the handsome uncle again in the future..."

He even bought her so much ice cream, not being able to have any was such a pity.

Ruby Sullivan couldn’t have known what her daughter was thinking, but seeing her this dejected, her heart ached.

Though Melody Wallace was young, she was very sensible, understanding that she had always lacked a father figure since she was little, yet she never complained openly, but after meeting Ethan Sterling for the first time, she showed such a sad expression. Is it really due to blood relation?
