Following the address Ling Fei had given, Ye Qiu arrived at the door and rang the bell.

"Is this Xia Tiantian’s home? I’m here to tutor her on behalf of my friend Ling Fei, who is busy tonight."

The housekeeper said.

Ye Qiu entered and found that it was just over a hundred square meters, with four bedrooms and two living rooms.

"Tiantian, your tutor is here."

Ye Qiu noticed the floor was quite clean, so he changed out of his sneakers.

After putting on a pair of slippers the housekeeper provided, she said.

Ye Qiu originally thought this housekeeper was the student’s mother.

Soon, a little girl around twelve or thirteen years old, wearing a princess dress and sporting pigtails, came out.

"Who are you?"

Xia Tiantian asked.

Though, she felt like she’d seen this older brother somewhere before?

When Ye Qiu saw her, he also felt like he’d seen her somewhere before?

When Xia Tiantian finally remembered, she recalled meeting this really skilled guy at the arcade near Jiangbei No. 3 Middle School.

It’s just been half a year since they last met.

"It’s you, big brother, I recognize you!"

Xia Tiantian immediately said excitedly.

Ye Qiu recognized her too.

But, Ye Qiu never expected to run into her here.

"You’re Xia Tiantian, right? I’m here to tutor you on behalf of Teacher Ling," Ye Qiu said seriously.

"Big brother, I don’t want to study. I want you to play with me."

Xia Tiantian immediately said, pulling Ye Qiu along.

The housekeeper didn’t expect the young miss to know Ye Qiu, and since that was the case, she went back to the kitchen to make dinner.

"Teacher, you and Tiantian can go to the room to study!"

Ye Qiu walked into Xia Tiantian’s room, and as he entered, he found a room decorated like a fairy tale, filled with stuffed toys.

Inside the room, there was a computer desk with a desktop computer, and next to it were many books.

As Ye Qiu closed the door, he said, "Your Teacher Ling didn’t have time tonight, so I’m here to tutor you in math and English. Where did Teacher Ling leave off with you?"

Seeing Ye Qiu so serious, unlike joking around with her, Xia Tiantian replied, "You mean Sister Ling Fei? I always thought of her as a sister, not as a Teacher Ling."

"Bring your textbook, workbook, and exam papers here."

Ye Qiu said.

His tone now was cold, not at all joking.

"I don’t want to listen, I don’t want to listen."

Xia Tiantian completely ignored Ye Qiu, slipped off her shoes, and jumped onto the soft bed, playing with the stuffed toys there.

Many of these stuffed toys were previously gifts from her parents and their friends, and some were given by boys in her class trying to please her.

Originally, there were more, but Xia Tiantian had given some to other students, keeping only the ones she liked to play with.

Ye Qiu went to the backpack on the computer desk, opened it, and took out Xia Tiantian’s workbook; he noticed that much of her math and English assignments were incomplete.

As for the exam papers, they were all scores in the twenties and thirties.

"Why are your grades so poor?"

"None of your business, none of your business."

Xia Tiantian said.

Then she threw a stuffed toy from the bed towards Ye Qiu, who caught it and placed it aside.

"A hundred-point test and you only score in the twenties and thirties, yet you’re proud of it."

"I like it that way. It’s none of your business."

Xia Tiantian said.

She had no intention of listening to Ye Qiu.

If Ling Fei came over, she might listen, pretending to accept Ling Fei’s tutoring, but in reality, it went in one ear and out the other, just keeping her company while playing.

As for the brother in front of her, she initially thought she’d be happy to see him again, having him keep her company, not expecting he would really just want to tutor her.

Now, Xia Tiantian was at her most rebellious adolescent stage; the more Ye Qiu insisted, the more she defied.

Ye Qiu took out his phone to call Ling Fei.

The two had already exchanged numbers, and of course, Ye Qiu only needed to see it once to remember it.

"Ye Qiu, are you at Xia Tiantian’s house?"

"I’m here. She’s being uncooperative. Did her parents set any requirements when they asked you to tutor her?"

"Yes, they said to at least get her to pass exams, and if she could score above eighty, there would be a reward."

After all, when parents hire a tutor for their children, it’s to improve their grades; in Tiantian’s case, she might be at the bottom of her class.

Much like Ye Qiu in the past.

Of course, in this scenario, if she’s unwilling to learn, even hiring a top teacher wouldn’t help.

"So what do you suggest if she won’t listen?"

"Let me talk to her."

Ling Fei felt she got along well with her tutoring students, especially this little Tiantian, who, despite being a spoiled princess, usually listened when taught.

Ye Qiu calmed himself, saying, "Alright, I’ll play with you. After all, I’m only here to tutor you once."

Right then, they heard the housekeeper’s voice outside the door, "Teacher, Tiantian, come out to eat dinner first. You can study after eating."

"Auntie, I’m so hungry."

Xia Tiantian put down the stuffed toy in her hand and rushed out the door.

When Ye Qiu went outside, he saw the housekeeper had already prepared several home-cooked dishes. He now understood that this middle-aged woman was just the housekeeper, not Xia Tiantian’s mother.

"Teacher, let’s eat first!"

"Actually, I’ve already eaten," Ye Qiu said.

"It doesn’t matter. I’ve already cooked dinner, and Tiantian’s mother isn’t coming back for dinner tonight. By tomorrow, this food will just go to waste."
