Georgia’s POV
"Oh, really?"
Why Georgia?! Why the hell did you say that? I kept scolding myself in my mind.
I slowly turned my head toward him—and regretted it instantly.
He was smirking.
That dangerous, knowing smirk.
His eyes were no longer just playful—they were dark, wild, and blazing with lust. Like I’d just awakened something feral inside him. Something I wasn’t sure I could handle.
"You’re getting bold, huh?" he said, voice smooth and cocky. "Want to test me?"
"No..." I whispered, breath catching in my throat.
And then—I ran.
Barefoot. Naked. With adrenaline pumping through my veins and the sound of water splashing behind me, I tore away from him as fast as I could. The stream dragged at my legs, but I powered through it, stumbling out and racing toward the cave like my life, or my poor, sore kitty cat, depended on it.
Shit. I left my clothes by the water.
Doesn’t matter. I’ll come back for them later. Right now, I need distance. From him. From this.
From the way my body already aches for his touch again.
Wait... why am I running?
I glanced over my shoulder.
Big mistake.
Nick was chasing me.
And not just chasing—grinning. A wicked, untamed grin that screamed danger and desire. His dark hair was slicked back, droplets of water flying around him, his toned body on full display—and every step closer made me shiver harder, not from the cold, but from anticipation.
The bastard was enjoying this.
Hell... maybe I was too.
I laughed and stuck my tongue out at him, flipping him off. "You’ll never catch me, slowpoke!"
His laughter rang out behind me. "Run for your life, princess! Because if I catch you, I swear—I’ll make your soul leave your body."
Gods.
He wasn’t joking.
And I wasn’t sure if I wanted to escape or get caught.
I kept running, dodging rocks and twigs, feet aching, breath hitching, heart hammering like mad. But after a while, my legs started to give out. I stopped, panting, realizing too late—I wasn’t near the cave anymore.
I’d run all the way to the ridge.
And it was freezing.
Shivering and cursing myself, I looked down toward the sea. The wind cut through my skin, and I wrapped my arms around myself, suddenly aware of how naked I was.
Bad decision. Very bad.
I turned back, heart still racing for an entirely different reason now, and made my way down—back toward the stream.
Back to my clothes.
Back to him.
Back to whatever the hell this madness is turning into.
When I got back to the stream, he wasn’t there.
Good.
Or... maybe not?
I scanned the area, my eyes searching for the large boulder where I’d left my clothes. But it was empty—completely bare.
What the hell?
Maybe I was wrong?
I walked around, glancing at the surrounding rocks and bushes, hoping I’d just placed them somewhere else.
Then a voice cut through the silence.
"Looking for this?"
Nick!
My entire body froze.
Slowly... so slowly... I turned toward him.
And there he was, standing like a goddamn villain straight out of my darkest fantasies. His hair was wet and messy, those sinfully perfect lips curled into a smirk. In one hand: my clothes.
In the other?
A rope.
The rope from the cave.
No.
No, no, no.
"You—You went back to the cave? You pretended to chase me just so you could—"
I didn’t even finish the thought. The answer was already written all over his smug, wicked face.
Who does that?
Apparently, Nicholas fucking Knight does.
And that rope... Oh shit! I already knew where this was going.
I spun around, ready to bolt again—but he was too damn fast... Or I am just too slow.
In a blink, he was behind me. His hand gripped my wrist, and with terrifying precision, the rope coiled around it.
"Nick! What the hell is this?!" I gasped, heart pounding.
He smirked, calm as ever. "A slip knot."
I groaned and rolled my eyes. "I know it’s a slip knot. I meant—what the fuck is it for?"
But I already knew.
Still, I grabbed at the rope to undo it, trying to wriggle out—but he yanked it in one sharp, practiced motion. The knot cinched tighter around my wrist.
Damn it.
"Stop fighting," he murmured, stepping closer. "I don’t want to hurt your skin. Just follow me."
His voice was low... too low. Like a caress and a command wrapped into one.
I wanted to curse him. Fight him.
But I didn’t.
Not because I couldn’t. But because... gods, my body was already betraying me.
The rope grazed my skin, and the roughness contrasted against the heat coiling inside me. One pull, and I was walking, being led, like some obedient slave to her master.
He tugged me gently until we stopped between two young trees. His movements were controlled. Focused.
Calculated.
I should’ve been scared.
Instead, I was soaking wet.
He grabbed both my arms and guided me between the two slender trees.
"Stay there and don’t move," he ordered, his voice low and lethal.
As if I had a choice. He was already tugging at the rope tied to my wrist like he owned me.
I watched, pulse racing, as he wrapped the rope around the trees, then secured it to my other wrist, stretching my arms outward. Not painfully tight, but firm. Restrained.
"If you move one hand, the other one tightens. So don’t make any sudden moves, baby. You’ll end up hurting yourself," he said, cocking a brow at me.
I gave him an eye roll and a dry laugh. "Then why tie me up like some sacrificial offering?"
He stepped closer, smirking like the devil himself. "So I can eat you without any resistance." His gaze dropped to my lips, then lower. "I told you to stop denying me. You didn’t listen... So now this is your punishment."
"What?! I’m not some misbehaving child for you to punish, Nick. Let me go! This is—this is ridiculous!" I barked, even as something hot and wicked curled low in my stomach, hoping he wouldn’t let me go.
He cupped my chin, his thumb stroking the side of my jaw. "No, you’re not a child. You’re my baby." His words rolled off his tongue like honey—and poison.
He kissed me then. Slow at first, sensual... but it didn’t last. His mouth left mine far too soon, only to trail kisses along my jaw, down my neck, deliberately avoiding the places I wanted him to touch. Every brush of his lips was torment. My body strained toward him, starved.
Then, I felt it—the pressure of the rope again.
"What now?" I gasped.
He was tying my leg... then the other. Just like my arms—spread, open, on display.
"What the fucking hell, Nick?! Are you planning to offer me to the gods or something? I look like the damn Christ the Redeemer statue!"
He let out a full-bodied laugh, unbothered and thoroughly entertained. "Mmm... tempting. You’d make a divine offering." He stepped back to admire his work, eyes gleaming. "But no, baby. I’m not the god in this story. I’m the big bad wolf."
He leaned close, his breath hot on my ear. "And I’m going to eat you whole."
My breath caught.
Damn.
Something inside me snapped—lit like wildfire. That primal, dark part of me that loved playing this game... She woke up fast and ready.
"Well then," I whispered, arching my brow. "Prove that the big bad wolf isn’t just all bark... but bite, too."
There she is.
My unholy alter ego, bold and reckless, already dragging me into a game I knew I couldn’t win... and didn’t want to, eagerly waiting for the big bad wolf to eat me whole.
