The Aegis Group’s sixtieth anniversary gala is one of the major events for the company this year. Besides the internal executives and shareholders, at least a hundred invitations were sent out, all to the important clients and some business partners of the Aegis Group over the decades.

Quite a few local elites and dignitaries attended as well, turning this banquet into a grand gathering of tycoons. Even if one couldn’t catch a wealthy husband, at least there was an opportunity to meet the prestigious families they couldn’t usually see...

In any regard, it was a great bargain.

Crystal Langley, Quinn Chase, and Violet Whitman had begun preparations for the banquet early on. Although they could only serve as service staff, being able to attend was still an honor for them.

Stella Jennings instinctively tightened her grip on the man beside her, a strong sense of possessiveness welling up in her heart. This man could only be hers!

When Laura Quincy first joined the third division, Stella thought Jason might be interested in her, but over time she realized it wasn’t as she had imagined. Although Jason occasionally acted in ways she did not understand, he basically had no intimate contact with that woman, nor did he give her any special attention...

He even arranged for Laura Quincy to go on a business trip during the company’s sixtieth anniversary gala. She clearly understood that Laura’s participation in this trip to Port Sovereign was unnecessary...

Both Old Master Hawthorne and Old Master Jennings were present tonight. When they saw him, they warmly joked, "Jason, when do you plan to marry Stella? You two aren’t getting any younger. After dating for so many years, it’s time to settle down."

Old Master Hawthorne and Old Master Jennings exchanged a satisfied look. The two families have always been close, and a marriage between the younger generation would be the best possible outcome.

Old Master Jennings is Stella Jennings’ granduncle, with her father ranking sixth in the family. Many of her cousins, including Ms. Thorne, are already married with children. Her eldest cousin’s child is even older than her.

In fact, the most powerful branch of the Jennings Family belongs to the granduncle’s household, but unfortunately, his legitimate granddaughter is too young, just starting high school.
