Crownless Reincarnation: New World? Nah I'd win
Chapter 252: A One Day War [2]
CHAPTER 252: A ONE DAY WAR [2]
Nayomi looked at him.
"No." She spoke. "Anything is possible in a war, they should account for an unstoppable force as well."
Akamir chuckled softly. "You are right."
He took out his mask and wore it.
Akamir turned around and let his body fall down on the side of the Aure army.
The wind howled past his ears as Akamir dropped from the walls, his black cloak flaring around him.
The Aure soldiers below barely had time to register the shadow before it landed.
BOOM!
The ground cracked under his feet, dust and earth blasting outward in a shockwave that threw men off their horses.
Panic rippled through the Aure front lines as Akamir straightened, mask hiding his face, his crimson eyes glowing faintly behind it.
He raised his hand, and a blade of pure mana and chi formed in his grip—white-blue light condensed into a sword.
The first wave of Aure soldiers charged, spears leveled.
Akamir stepped forward.
One swing.
The arc of mana cut through men and steel alike, severing weapons, armor, and flesh as if they were paper.
Dozens fell in a single stroke, screams echoing through the ranks.
Another group rushed him from the side, hoping to overwhelm him.
Akamir shifted his wrist, the sword vanishing into a spear of mana.
With a casual throw, the weapon tore through the line—skewering five men before exploding into shards of burning light that seared everyone nearby.
Chaos erupted.
"Monster!" someone shouted. "Bring out the heavy weapons!"
Fear spread faster than fire.
Horses reared, soldiers faltered, and commanders screamed for order.
Akamir ignored them.
His other hand traced glowing symbols in the air.
A vast magic circle flared beneath his feet, light spreading outward in intricate patterns.
"Fall."
Pillars of fire erupted across the battlefield, swallowing entire squads in an inferno.
Soldiers screamed as the ground itself turned against them, the shockwaves hurling men into the sky before dropping them lifeless onto the dirt.
The Aure army wavered, but still they came—archers firing and cavalry charging towards him.
Arrows darkened the sky falling like meteorites.
Akamir simply raised his hand.
A wall of swirling wind exploded upward, shredding the arrows midair before collapsing outward like a storm blast.
The hurling riders from their horses and breaking bones with the sheer force.
He walked forward slowly, calmly, like a man strolling through a garden.
Every swing of his sword, every flick of his fingers, left bodies scattered in his wake.
Another spear of mana formed in his grip—this one longer, heavier. He spun it once, then swept it sideways.
The motion unleashed a crescent wave of energy that bisected the cavalry unit in front of him, horse and rider falling in two clean halves before blood even reached the ground.
By now, the fear was palpable.
Soldiers were backing away, trembling, whispering prayers to gods who weren’t listening.
"MOVE!!!"
A voice echoed and all the soldiers scattered in an instant.
A clear line formed in between an enormous giant a covered thing and Akamir.
The curtain was lifted and the thing came to Akamir’s view.
He tilted his head as he wondered. ’Is that a cannon?’
Akamir wondered staring at the three thing.
It was shaped like a cannon but along with it were runes.
The entire thing was covered with runes that shone brightly.
’This is interesting.’
Akamir thought looking at the thing charging up.
He positioned himself ready to take it head on.
The ground shook as the massive cannon hummed to life.
The cannon fired.
BOOOOM!
A sphere of blazing energy tore forward, distorting the air as it screamed across the battlefield.
The ground it touched melted into molten glass, and the sheer force of it left a trail of destruction in its wake.
Akamir didn’t flinch.
He lifted both hands, his mana surging like a tidal wave.
A massive circle unfolded before him—layers upon layers of glowing runes spinning in unison.
The impact came.
CRAAASH!
The energy ball slammed into his barrier, the explosion lighting the battlefield like a second sun.
Soldiers on both sides shielded their eyes as heat washed over them, the shockwave rattling armor and shaking stones loose from the walls of Krivos.
For a moment, the world vanished in blinding white.
Then—
Crack.
The barrier split.
Akamir’s boots dug into the earth, dust swirling around him, cloak whipping violently.
Behind the mask, his crimson eyes burned brighter.
"Not bad," he muttered, pushing back against the storm. "But not enough."
He shoved his palm forward.
The magic circle flared again, redirecting the cannon’s energy upward.
The sphere shot into the sky and exploded far above, turning clouds into fire before fading into nothing.
Gasps echoed from the Aure ranks.
Their ultimate weapon—deflected like a child’s toy.
Akamir tilted his head, studying the cannon.
"I’ll take that apart now."
In a blink, his form vanished.
He reappeared directly in front of the massive construct, his sword of mana forming once more.
The soldiers guarding it froze.
Some tried to raise their spears.
Others didn’t even move, paralyzed by fear.
SHHHK!
His blade cut through the cannon’s runes, severing their glow.
Sparks burst as the weapon howled, collapsing in on itself.
A final blast erupted, throwing men back and reducing the structure to molten fragments.
Akamir let out a sigh as he looked around.
The soldiers looked at him with fear and nothing more.
’...This should be more than enough.’
Akamir thought, rubbing the back of his neck.
With soldiers still frozen in place Akamir began to walk back to the walls.
None moved forward to stop him as they remained frozen in place.
Akamir reached the gate as he looked at the man in charge of opening it.
He understood the assignment as he quickly opened the main door.
Akamir walked inside as he looked at the soldiers of his own staring at him blankly.
He tilted his head. "What are you waiting for?" He asked. "Attack them."
Akamir’s voice cut through the frozen air like a blade.
"What are you waiting for?" he repeated, louder. "Move!"
For a moment nothing happened. Then a voice boomed in place.
"To me! For Krivos!"
It was a small thing, but it was all the men needed.
The spell of fear that had gripped them loosened. Shouts rose, armor clattered, and the Krivos soldiers surged forward from the walls like a released tide.
The Aure lines tried to regroup after they came back to their senses
The leading officers barked commands, voices hoarse from fear.
But the momentum had shifted as the first attack of the Krivos Kingdom hit them.
---
The war ended in one day.
The Aure kingdom was thoroughly defeated just like Akamir had predicted.
Nothing and no one could have stopped it from happening.
The attack from Akamir in the start was something that they could have never overcome.
Now, as Akamir looked at the war prisoner kneeling in front of him.
He couldn’t help but wonder. ’....what should I do with them?’
Any sane person would throw them in jail or outright kill them.
But Akamir was not in those type of beings.
He was thinking much ahead of the current situation.
’It would be better to use them later on.’
He thought as he turned back, leaving them in their matters.
With now the first war over the soldiers were celebrating.
The voices of happiness were clear within the place.
Many were talking about the masked man.
Most could tell it was Akamir with the outfit and body structure.
But most refused to believe, calling it a blatant lie.
Akamir was away from all this as he wasn’t interested at all.
Akamir himself sat apart from the noise.
His tent was dim, lit only by a single lantern.
He unstrapped his mask and laid it on the table, its smooth surface reflecting his tired gaze.
His crimson eyes dimmed back to their calm glow.
Akamir let out a sigh as he rubbed his face.
He looked up to see Nayomi floating upside-down.
’...Why can’t she just stay in place.’
Not to mention, her clothes are way too revealing.’
She was a walking seducer that could take anyone’s heart.
’Good thing, only I could see her.’
Nayomi tilted her head. "What?"
"Nothing." He spoke, looking away. "I was wondering if I should visit the other side of the World right now or not."
"You are still too weak to fight the strongest there." She spoke softly. "I would advise you to wait till you are, it won’t take much anyway."
"I can’t do that." Akamir said, looking at her. "Well, I don’t want to wait."
Nayomi didn’t respond as she just kept on staring at him.
"The Aure kingdom is should already be on the edge." She spoke looking at him. "What are you going to do now?"
Akamir didn’t respond as he looked at the mask laying on the table.
He smiled as he picked it up. "Now we kill the Aure Royal family."
