CHAPTER 335: CHAPTER 208: SAINT ALARMED, THE TIME IS APPROACHING (4700 WORDS)_2

"Hmph, how could the name not be familiar? He’s that brat who got ahead of everyone, roaming freely through the Ancient Forest and plundering countless heavenly materials and earthly treasures!" Longhu Saint, Yun Wuxin, snorted coldly, his eyes full of rage.

He had always seemed to harbor a dislike for Sanqing, so hearing about one of their disciples’ impressive feats was more agonizing to him than death itself. But what infuriated him most was that the contemporary Saint Heir of his esteemed Longhu lineage had shamelessly sworn brotherhood with Wang Xiu, even acknowledging him as his elder. When he first heard the news, he was so furious he nearly ascended to heaven on the spot.

The other Saints immediately understood. As realization dawned, countless layers of clouds surged through the endless void like a waterspout, and the temperature between heaven and earth plummeted.

The collective gasp of so many Saint Manifestation-level beings had an astonishing effect.

"This Wang Xiu is truly something else. Is he Sanqing’s trump card?"

"Who would have thought that after a thousand years of decline, Sanqing would show signs of soaring once again?"

"Soar? That’s an understatement. Even at Sanqing’s peak, no prodigy could accomplish what he has..."

The Saints spared no praise. Some even approached Zhang Yunting to shower him with compliments.

Mount Shu’s Saint, Tao Fan, was enveloped in holy light, projecting the aura of an immortal. Holding a horsetail whisk, he approached with light steps and a beaming smile, "Congratulations, Brother Zhang. Sanqing has produced another Kylin. Reclaiming the pinnacle seat of the Immortal Alliance is just a matter of time. Perhaps... you’ll even surpass the glory of the past!"

Zhang Yunting laughed heartily.

"What Kylin? The boy is nothing but a bandit..." Yun Wuxin sneered. "How many heavenly materials and earthly treasures did he plunder all by himself in the Ancient Forest? Where he passes, no grass grows. If a bird flies overhead, it has to leave behind a few thousand pounds of feathers! Now that he’s entered the Void Ancient Path, he’s even more outrageous. The God and Demon Murals were an incredible opportunity that could have benefited generations to come. Thanks to him, they’re completely ruined! Future prodigies will never have such a creation again!"

Hearing this, Zhang Yunting’s face darkened, but then he recalled something, and the corner of his mouth curled up. "Yun, I know you’re jealous, but there’s no need to be so salty about it! Your Longhu Saint Heir has far better judgment than you do. He’s Wang Xiu’s sworn younger brother! That boy, Wang Xiu, is gentle and kind, incredibly generous, especially to those close to him. He’s first-rate! As long as he has a bite to eat, he’ll never let your Saint Heir go hungry!"

At these words, Yun Wuxin completely exploded. Veins bulged on his forehead as lightning surged around him. Runes filled the air, rushing toward the heavens.

"Looking for a fight? You think I’m afraid of you?" Zhang Yunting snorted, stepping forward. His entire body was engulfed in a brilliant golden light as dazzling as the sun.

"Enough!"

Just then, an incredibly ancient voice echoed from the depths of the great hall. It was like divine music. Within the fog of Chaos, thousands of radiant wisps bloomed, auspicious energies steamed, ethereal streamers trailed to the ground, and the silhouettes of immortals filled the air.

All the Saints became solemn and bowed toward the depths of the great hall. Even Zhang Yunting reined in his aura and nodded in that direction.

The radiant light surged and condensed into a seven-colored phantom whose features were indistinct. At first glance, it appeared to be a young man; a moment later, an old man; and upon a third look, it seemed to be a little girl.

"Sage!" all the Saints greeted, bowing with the respect due from a junior.

"The hour is almost upon us." The Sage walked past them all and out of the great hall. He gazed toward the foggy heavens, his eyes shimmering with an indescribable divine light.

At these words, everyone felt a chill, and the atmosphere grew heavy.

They all looked toward the sky.

Their gazes pierced through the endless Chaos to the vault of the void. A thick celestial light, the world’s barrier, had once sealed it off completely from the outer void, protected by the world’s rules and forbidding the Saints from crossing.

Now, however, that barrier had worn down significantly, thinning to a mere membrane. Through it, they could faintly see a raging sea of Demonic Qi surging toward them.

"Are they going to make their move?" asked Tao Fan, his bearing dignified and righteous, his immortal light vast.

"They shouldn’t. The seal won’t reach its weakest point for more than a month," Zhang Yunting said, frowning.

"Prepare yourselves," the Sage said, adding nothing more as he waved his hand.

Everyone bowed respectfully in unison.

In the crowd, Yun Wuxin lowered his head, his gaze shifting uncertainly. Suddenly sensing something, he looked up to find Tao Fan watching him from a short distance away.

...

「A few days later.」

In the Void Ancient Path, on a desolate, empty plain.

BOOM! RUMBLE!

Over a dozen mountain-sized Void Beasts were locked in a fierce battle with Human Race prodigies. They were powerful, their roars shook the heavens, and their every move could trample mountains and rivers.

Yet, they were forced into a passive role in the fight.

This wasn’t just because there were too many Human Race prodigies on the other side—thousands upon thousands of them. The fluctuations from their spells were like a vast, blazing ocean, powerful enough to engulf this entire section of the void. It was also because these Human Race prodigies were ruthless. It was as if they had divine insight, for every move and every technique targeted the beasts’ fatal weaknesses with vicious precision.

This prevented the beasts from unleashing their full strength, causing them immense pain.

"Kill!"

"Go for its rear! Brother Wang Xiu said that’s the fatal weakness of the Void Savage Bull!"

"Witness my Subduing Demon Fist!"

"Make way! I have some Extraterrestrial Sand from the ancient path. It’s highly corrosive and will be a threat to the Void Beast!"

"None of you are up to the task! You have to see my Lightning Dragon Drill!"

"..."

In an instant, hundreds, even thousands of terrifying spells blotted out the sky, all bombarding the rear of the Void Savage Bull.

The prodigies unleashed their full arsenals. All sorts of Magical Treasures and Divine Skills were used without reservation.

A massive hole was blasted into the Void Savage Bull’s hindquarters. It let out a miserable scream and collapsed, convulsing on the ground. It foamed at the mouth, spitting out Crystal Shards as its eyes rolled back into its head.

The residual energy continued to corrode its flesh, disintegrating its body.

"It blew! It blew!"
