Date a Witch: Reborn as the Witch of Lust! (GL)
Chapter 144: Fate(s) Intertwined (2)
With curtains closed, the soft bed lamps cloaked both beauties in the white sheet, their honesty displayed within a melancholic comfort.
Mel started with the setting about the future with six Witches and a bad ending.
Then she ended by describing her encounter with the Witch Cult and the capture of Nyrel herself.
As Lila listened while being caressed, her face showed more and more disbelief over time.
"Wait..."
So, the Witch of Envy flipped Mel on her back, pouting.
"There are four more juniors you've to seduce? Really?"

Facing Lila's darkened gaze, Mel only read the panel beside Lila's blushing cheek.
No description of Lila's thoughts? Then her partner must not have been present.
"Yep!" She grinned, embracing Lila as their hips stuck together. "Actually, just three more, not including the 'Senior' you just encountered."
"Since when was this 'Witch of Disasters' thing so...common?"
Lila fisted Mel's shoulder lightly, her brows knitting in frustration. "And I know this, but that Rosana? Really?"
"Hehe. I could tell you two were getting along quite well, though."
"Not. At. All."
Lila's cheek burrowed into Mel's neck before rubbing her frustration on Mel's skin.
Muffled, she complained. "If my Juniors were not only thinking of Mel and Mel, I would never possibly accept them!"
Recalling Rosana's smirk as she declared 'prey' this and 'number one' that, Lila doubted the Dragoness's heart lay elsewhere.
"Yes, yes. My Lila..."
Mel's legs only wrapped around Lila's thighs like a teddy bear, her feet sliding against each other to distract herself from Lila's cute jealousy.
"But not everyone's as dedicated as you are," Mel smirked. "Our little Witch of Gluttony, for example, also got a job."
Especially when her job meant everything yet nothing to her.
Mel's lips pursed in contemplation, yet before she could worry Lila, her mind drifted to a certain cult.
"More importantly...mm."
Mel nodded as her waist gently pushed into Lila's, shifting their position in bed so they would lie side-by-side.
A glance at Lila's curious gaze, and Mel cupped Lila's cheek.
"How do you feel about Nyrel?"
Lila's brows slightly twitched as a breath hung at her lips.
"I..."
Lila's arms clutched onto the pillow, hesitating.
Noticing this, Mel's palm slid along Lila's cheek before hooking her ear tenderly.
"You don't have to give me an answer now, you know?" She whispered. "Take your time. There's already too much information to process."
Blinking at Mel's soft expression, Lila shook her head.
"No," Lila grasped Mel's wrist with both her hands. "I do believe it's overwhelming, but... not overwhelming enough for me to drown out my thoughts entirely."
One deep breath, and Lila stared with a resolute gaze.
"It's irresponsible for me... for my sister," Lila's thumb twirled on the back of Mel's hand. "But I... honestly don't think much of Nyrel now."
Mel's eyes glimmered. "Because?"
"Because I've many more problems to worry about."
Lila squinted as she raised Mel's hand back to her cheek, pouting again. "I've seen too much in my Witch Form, that a grudge like with Nyrel's seemed... too distant for me."
Like an ant before a disaster, Lila naturally viewed Nyrel so far below her that she struggled to grasp her importance.
"I admit though," Lila chuckled in defeat. "It would've changed if I met her personally, and if..."
She glanced at Mel's stuttering lips, words almost escaping to comfort her.
So Lila took the initiative by leaning in and pecking a kiss on Mel's.
"So..."
Unwilling to finish her thought, Lila's face was inches away from Mel's as she finally murmured.
"How was I in that... would-be future you know?"
Mel smiled as her fingers danced on Lila's arm, mulling over how much to tell her Lila.
"Well, for the start..." Mel breathed out. "Let me preface this by stating you're not the one to destroy the World."
"You mean..."
"I won't sugarcoat it, nor will I ever shift the weight of what would have happened."
Mel's forehead tapped Lila's. " But The World was destroyed not because of Witches only, but rather the wars resulted from the conflicts between the Witches, and humanity's wager for more wars against the Witches."
Silence was perpetuated in the air, and Lila worriedly shifted her hand over Mel's chest.
As her palm pressed into Mel's breast, the steady heartbeat drummed a riveting yet soothing calmness into her mind.

"That means..." Lila sighed. "I do not need to carry all the responsibilities, right?"
As Lila's hot breath touched Mel's skin, Mel's forehead brushed against Lila's. "No."
"Then what did happen?"
A slight pause, then Mel continued as she patted Lila's head.
"Upon your... sister's death," Mel muttered out. "You found the same poison Nyrel used, and drank it to feel the same as your sister's."
Watching Lila's face fall, Mel's heart pained, yet she persisted for Lila.
"That was so that everyone wouldn't ever understand your Sister's pain, not as much as you did under the same condition."
"I... see."
Lila chuckled defeatedly. "That does sound like what I'll do."
"Mhm. And... whenever you came across a family..."
Mel's lips shut themselves; however, upon confessing that Lila had done terrible deeds in the future that she averted.
Lila's eyes widened a little, observing the flicker of sorrow in Mel's expression.
Her lover was, unexpectedly, more hurt than even she herself.
Realising this, a bubbly warmth cradled Llia's heart as she embraced Mel's trembling figure and hovered over her.
"I'm fine, Mel."
A tender declaration, as Lila's sincere eyes pierced through Mel's worry.
And as a smile matching Lila's bloomed on Mel, Mel soon returned with a tight, firm embrace.
"No matter!" Mel irresponsibly shouted. "No matter what, the current Lila is the best Lila! The Happiest Lila! I love Lila either way, and I couldn't care less about things that I prevented myself!"
With a scowl, Lila could only chuckle at Mel's reckless denial.

Lila's lips puffed as she almost chuckled. "Dummy... how can you save this World if you're this naive?"
"Well, I've a more... um."
Mel coughed twice, as she smirked at Lila's confused face. "More reliable senior with me! So uh.. I'm fine!"
Recalling her first night with the Saintess, yes.
Even she couldn't lie that she was indeed 'beneath' Senior Maria, in a sense.
"Ah."
Perfectly misunderstanding, Lila tapped her chin. "That Senior... Wrath, you say?"
Lila tilted her head, relaxing as she gave into Mel's embrace. "I... well, despite being chased and almost killed by her several times, she was surprisingly... reasonable?"
Within the Reality Marble, Lila weaved through slashes with each of them, if she estimated correctly, capable of cleaving the World in half.
Yet Mel stated correctly, Wrath couldn't slash anyone she didn't feel hostility towards, and Lila remained unscathed even through the onslaught.
"That's... well, my confusion as well."
Mel confessed with a slight frown. "I don't exactly... know what happened that Wrath seemed to be a lot more... calmer than I remembered, but I think Wrath underwent that future I just spoke of as well."
"Hah?"
Lila tilted her head. "So... regression? But Wrath seemed to know you too well, though..."
Shifting their positions to lie side-by-side again, Lila asked. "Could it be that the future Wrath somehow met you as well? In that terrible future you spoke of?"
The truth sang through Mel's mind as she found herself nodding.
"But..." Mel sighed heavily. "If only that makes sense..."
Mel counted on her fingers. "Right now, only Miss Pride, as I recalled, had the capability of Regression alone. And... Wrath came out of the Dimensional Rift rather than some time-warping sheninengans."
Lila tilted her head, yet she scowled while questioning. "Then have you asked her yet, Mel?"
"Eh..." Mel's fingers twirled on each other. "It's not that I'm busy flirting... well, that's part of it, but I have a keen policy to respect others' secrets! Coz I also have mine as well."
"Well."
Lila narrowed her eyes. "I don't. I'll ask for you."
"Lila..."
"Hmph!" Lila huffed. "This is my privilege and right as your shameless first wife! If you respect others' secrets, respect your first wife shedding all dignity for you too!"
Being as petty as she was, the Witch of Envy now has the perfect secret to beat up her Senior! Again!
Sensing Lila's pettiness at play, Mel chuckled as she squeezed Lila's cheek. "Try not to play overboard with her, alright?"
"I don't get what you're saying. Anyways..."
Pretending dumb, Lila also stole Mel's technique: Shifting to pervertedness whenever troubles came up!
"You do remember our requests, right, Mel?"
As Lila sat up with Mel, soon to follow, Lila tucked a hairlock behind her ear, showing her flushed face to Mel.
Bribing Mel with cuteness, the oldest tactic in her 'how-to-seduce-Mel' book.
"Go- go find a chair..."
Then, as she remembered Mel's 'bottom incident', Lila's tone grew more authoritative with a tinge of ire.
"And take off those panties already."
Mel's eyes smiled. She was right back in her childhood:
An irritated Lila? So precious. So cute.
"Alright~"
Amused, Mel shifted on the mattress before standing up.
"Watch closely... Lila."
With her back against Lila, she quickly took off her soaked panties and flung them aside.
Glancing over her shoulder, Mel's flush perfectly matched her lover's.
"Because you have to order my every action from here on."
Lila gulped, her lips parting on instinct before-
Heh?
A realisation stormed, as her eyes widened at Mel's words.
Was it just her... or did the nature of her request change?
