CHAPTER 155: IMPENDING DISASTER?

Lila experienced it from before: An extreme obsession that wished to consume Mel alive.

So she could tell; the bloodlust from before was genuine.

But just as much as the apology afterwards, ironically.

Frowning, Lila merely dismissed it later and asked. "By the way, should I try dispelling the snow from outside?"

Shameless she may be, Lila couldn’t bear the guilt of disrupting numerous lives with her rashly changing the climate.

"Oh, no worries!"

Maria beamed as she held up a V-sign.

"Rather keep it up! As many disasters as possible would ensure us the victory we needed!"

"Ha?"

As Lila blinked confusedly, Mel sneakily gazed away to the air, seemingly.

In reality, she was reading a secret message offered by her Partner.

[ Well, the truth was that Envy’s little spell had caused numerous disasters. ]

Mel shuddered a little before relaxing as Maria purred into her neck.

The hot, teasing breath showed it all; there was not a bone of tension in Maria right now.

[ Let’s see... Just counting the Kingdom, we had five Ice avalanches, hundreds of thousands of farmlands’ crops almost dying to incur a famine, and maybe a few more villages buried entirely under the sudden snow? ]

’Partner...’ Mel pouted as she sent a sneaky Telepathy to Maria. ’Please tell me they’re alright...’

[ Yep. All of them. ]

[ Envy’s Snows were already merciful in that they didn’t contain much mass and coldness, so the initial outbreaks, whether to humans or crops, were easily contained by the Holy Knights I set out. ]

[ My Week in Embervale, aside from searching for the Pope, consisted also of visiting those places to offer my mending sneakily. Thus, all of them were in perfect condition. ]

’Thanks, Partner...’

Mel’s eyes narrowed exhaustedly as she sighed in relief. ’I really thought Lila... Lila...’

"No worries, Mel."

Maria mumbled. "Not a Witch could harm you or anyone you like. Not with me here."

"You two..."

Lila grumbled as she tiptoed, raising herself to Mel’s eyes.

"You were viewing that System thing earlier, weren’t you?"

Yet as Mel faced Lila’s cute, complaining looks, her worry instantly melted into an impulsive need to dote on her.

"Lila..."

"Hic! Mel!"

Mel raised Lila, their chests digging into each other as Mel left the Saintess’s embrace.

She moved them to the bed before colliding with each other onto the wet mattress.

"Thank the Saintess..." Mel whined as she sniffed hard into Lila’s milky skin. "You’re still alright..."

Had Lila actually committed any misdeeds, Mel wouldn’t know how to confess her sin!

Mel’s duty was to protect the world and her girls, yet Maria did prevent an otherwise utter disaster and did a much better job than she did for both fronts.

And also with Lila’s own Spell built to be unharmful to humans; Mel felt as if she had too much to be thankful for.

"Lila."

So, a sparkle of resolve glimmered in Mel’s golden eyes, her lips widening for a bright smile.

"So let’s have sex again to celebrate!"

"Wait wait-"

Lila instantly covered Mel’s approaching lips, her eyes darting away towards Maria.

"What have you two... talked about?"

"Nothing much."

Maria shrugged again before casually approaching them.

With a tug, her arms scooped up Mel before leaning them sideways on the mattress.

"Maria~come on... let me dote on Lila as well..."

Mel’s arms reached out to Lila, now lying sideways too, as her emerald eyes swept over them with a conflicted expression.

"To answer your question, Envy."

Maria’s graceful voice sang through the confusion as Maria planted a kiss on Mel’s hair.

"I plan to stop your snow myself through a grand ceremony. Stopping the snow now would only cost me more rather than benefit us."

Lila frowned before receiving Mel’s hand into her grasp. "Explain."

"The World never consisted of the Kingdom of Veneralis, as you know it."

Twirling circles on Mel’s exposed thighs, Maria chuckled. "The Iron Kingdom of the West, the Elven Forests of the East, and of course..."

The Saintess sighed. "Where Rosana resided, the Northern Dukedom that buried itself with drakes and snows."

She smoothed out the ridges in Mel’s skirt, chortling at every Mel’s tremble.

"Prolonging your sudden snow and My Grand Ceremony to dispel your snow, were to prove and remind those factions who were in control."

Maria darted out a tongue, licking a sweat bead off Mel’s neck. "Of course, there were a lot more behind the scenes, but it generally encapsulated to that."

"I... see..."

Lila played with Mel’s hand, hesitation burrowing into her mind.

An incredible woman.

In every bit of Lila’s mind, Maria was what she wished herself to be for Mel.

Of course! Everyone played a different role as Mel’s wife so that Lila wouldn’t discount her own value!

But even as Mel would tell her how in-between Mel’s wives, there were no ranks and such...

"Mmm..."

Lila pouted. One thing. There was one thing she wouldn’t lend her seat to.

"Aria. Or rather, Maria."

She gripped Mel’s hand tight and threw a steady glare at the Elf.

"Reveal yourself to me."

Maria tilted her head as her arm flickered below Mel’s chest.

Mel, in the process, held back several moans and whimpers. What is it? Was her first Wives... not getting along again?

"Alright."

Maria’s lips curled up in interest. "I don’t see why not. We’ll meet each other more often from now on."

Light particles then flew away from Maria’s skin, ears, and hair, revealing a Saintess robe and a nun’s drape over her silky white hair.

A breath hitched in Lila’s throat; the white-haired beauty was also undeniably attractive up close.

Especially the chest area... hm, what did she eat to be even bigger than Mel’s...?

Swallowing her thoughts, Lila shook her head as she finally steeled herself.

This is it.

Miss this chance, and Lila may never raise her head high.

"Maria."

In a brute, Rosana-like fashion, she declared.

"Please have a duel with me!"

Mel practically stoned in this suggestion, as Lila’s emerald eyes glimmered with a fire she had never seen before.

Though her sanity practically cracked (in excitement) for the following words.

"So we can determine the first wife on Mel’s list!"
