DC Comics: The Bookstore Witch
Chapter 62 62: Anticlimactic
[3rd POV]
Wanda decided that the best place for her to bring Milim was the greater DC universe first. As it had been a little while since she had last seen the Young Justice team. She was interested in seeing how they had been improving over the past couple of weeks since she had last watched over them.
That and she was pretty sure Milim would enjoy messing with them too. And considering where the group was, Wanda was pretty certain that that would be enjoyable. As they were currently in the Tower of Fate, where Doctor Fate was based out of.
It looks like the current Doctor Fate was under some sort of threat thanks to the Light, and if Wanda's assumptions were correct, it was because of a newly appeared Lord of Chaos that all the problems were being caused. It was also because of them that Doctor Fate was currently out of commission, requiring the aid of the Young Justice team to get the helmet of fate back onto Kent Nelson.
Once he had his power back, it was likely that the Lord of Chaos would be able to be knocked away, no longer being able to threaten them, and the rest of the world with it's power. At least, as long as they weren't one of the higher power leveled Lords of Chaos, like Mordru, who was widely considered to be the strongest of the Lords of Chaos.
This was all discounting Wanda of course, as she was far about any Lord of Chaos, hundreds of times better in fact.
It was because of Wanda's interest in seeing the reaction of the Doctor Fate, that she had brought Milim out of the shop, into the DC universe. And it was because of this that they were currently walking through a rather interesting maze of a tower, teleporting into the tower with ease, ripping through any defenses like they were made of glass.
Wanda had also promised Milim a night out shopping and having dinner at a proper restaurant, as she knew the girl was interested in seeing more of this universe, and what it has to offer.
If she really wanted to, Milim could very easily meet the Justice League and the other major groups in DC, but Wanda also knew that she would likely want to get into a fight with some of the members, Superman most of all. And that was not a fight that Milim would be capable of winning, not without some major power ups on her end.
Either way, it didn't matter as Wanda and Milim walked through the strange halls of the Tower of Fate, trying to find the Young Justice group, wanting to see first hand as they struggled through the area, trying to find and save Doctor Fate. Or at least his helmet, even if they didn't know why he needed it so bad.
Wally didn't even believe in magic, which didn't help in a situation like this one, where you are reliant on belief and actually utilizing magic. Meaning...this would be a lot harder for them than it should be.
After a bit of walking, the duo soon found the team, and began to watch in amusement as they struggled to find their ways around the Tower of Fate. Walking into several traps, walking into corners and dead ends, and watching as they grew increasingly irritated.
"They're not doing too well, are they Mama?" Milim asked, as they walked around the corner, the group in front of them walked into another magical trap, this one being a blast of fireballs and similar types of attacks.
It didn't do much damage, but it was impressive nonetheless.
"Not at all, love. They're new to the idea of magic existing, with only Kaldur having any sort of experience in it. And even then, his experience in the utilization of magic is...slim at best" Wanda responded after a few moments, as it had been a pretty decent question, one that wouldn't be a pain in the ass to answer, like notification quests and such.
"And that Wally guy you told me about is not helping at all" Milim responded with a giggle, as the teen refused to believe in magic, even with it blatantly being shown directly to his face, making it very obvious that it is indeed real.
"No, no he is not. But I'm sure they'll get it soon. I'll start the fun once the Lord of Chaos appears. You remember our conversation of the lord of chaos, right?" Wanda asked, wanting to make sure that Milim understood just how immensely dangerous that sort of thing could be. Lords of Chaos were much stronger than Milim, at least on average.
Milim would naturally start to get a lot stronger than before thanks to this, and that only made Wanda more nervous that her daughter would do something incredibly stupid, which she was beginning to realize was more of an inevitability rather than something she could realistically stop.
"Yep! You told me that they're incredibly strong and dangerous, even for someone like me, which is awesome! I've never met someone that could be a threat to me, besides you of course, Mama" Milim responded, a bright smile on her face as they continued to watch the team in front of them.
The team itself was now getting to the parts where they would start fighting against the Lord of Chaos, which would begin to get different results, as they would be utterly crushed if this Lord of Chaos is Mordru, and that wasn't something Wanda wanted at all.
"Good, now, let's see who this Lord of Chaos is. If it is who I suspect, then I'll need to step in personally, meaning you'll get to see Mama mess around for a bit" Wanda said, giving her daughter a wink as she cheered excitedly. She wanted to see her Mama in action, afterall.

Turns out it was indeed Mordru, and just as Wanda had assumed, the man was absolutely obliterating the Young Justice in battle. Sure, he hadn't killed any of them or anything, but he also was very obviously not trying in the least. That was also a bit concerning, as it meant he was a lot stronger than he looked.
Not that it would matter.
Wanda could also absorb his being and become quite a bit stronger, which she ignored in favor of stopping the Lord of Chaos in front of her, as she appeared in front of the downed forms of the Young Justice members.
"Man, you guys aren't looking too good there" Wanda said, as they all let out groans, before noticing who it was that was standing before them. Their eyes widened in surprise, but none of them could do anything, as they simply felt too weak.
They couldn't even speak at the moment. As Wanda glanced at Mordru. He was strong, sure, but absolutely nothing in comparison to her, and it was because of this that she was very confident in just absorbing his power like she did with Klarion. Only difference being is that he would give her a lot more power than Klarion did.
She was many times stronger than him, after all. And it was because of this, that she glanced at the Lord of Chaos with little care. The entity in question staring at her in alarm, feeling the insane power that radiated out of Wanda, power that far eclipsed anything he had, anything any Lord of Chaos had.
"What are you?" Mordru asked, frowning as he felt Wanda's power. He could tell that it was Chaos natured, and yet...it was so much more than just normal chaos, it was...a higher form of Chaos.
"That's the question isn't it? No idea to be frank with you. And even if I did know, I wouldn't tell you. And even if I did tell you, it wouldn't matter, as you are about to cease to exist in a few moments either way" Wanda responded, as she lifted her hand, palm stretched out as the Lord of Chaos felt a dangerous sensation exude from her.
But too bad for him, he reacted far too late, as a powerful sucking sensation pulled on him, and his entire being was promptly consumed by Wanda, assimilated into her just as Klarion had been.
And just like that, with no care, no over the top battles, nothing, Mordru had ceased to exist...
Feeling his power flow through her, Wanda had only one thought on her mind as she absorbed it.
'...That was anticlimactic'

That's the end of the chapter!
Not sure if y'all can tell, but I was absolutely dead tired when writing this chapter. Sorry if the quality is bad, as I have been up for around 22 hours at this point, and am about to go and pass out sleeping, so...yeah.
Anyways, have a good day!
