Chapter 102: Chapter 102[Reward calculation was completed.]

    [Reward is being distributed.]

The mechanical voice came as Aaron was busy planning on how to make use of all that is available to him, like the FSPs and SPs in a better and faster way.

"Ah, the reward is here. It took longer than the last four. Let’s see what kind of reward I would get after going through all that. I hope it is better than the last four", Aaron muttered as he got up and shut his eyes to receive the reward.

Every time the reward appeared, a bright light appeared, which made him close his eyes as the light was too bright for his eyes to keep them open. So this time, he closed his eyes before the reward appeared.

Just like before, a bright light appeared and disappeared. Only after he felt that did Aaron open his eyes to see what the reward was.

"What is this?" Aaron muttered as he took hold of the floating reward in front of him.

    He couldn’t recognise it.

The reward appeared to be a crystal with runes inscribed on it. He has never seen anything like that, nor has he heard about anything like that.

"You got a good reward this time, boy", a voice appeared in front of him, as Aaron was pondering what the crystal was.

Aaron looked up to see the man appear before him, "Ah, senior, do you know what this is?" he asked.

Having good quality resources would mean nothing if you weren’t able to identify their uses and be able to make use of them. He has already collected a lot of treasures outside, which he has no idea what they are and how to use, just like this reward.

Unlike those treasures, Aaron had a feeling that he couldn’t bring this reward to an appraiser. He felt that if this reward appeared outside, then it might cause a small battle, and as a Rank-2 Death Mage, there was no way that he would survive that, not even with all those attributes and the undead army he possessed.

His thoughts proved to be right when the man told him what the reward was.

"It is called an Attribute Keystone. These are used to unlock hidden attributes. This one here can be used to unlock Perception", the man replied with a smile on his face.

Though the man appeared to be kind to Aaron all the time, this was the first time he was genuinely smiling.

"Say what?" Aaron was surprised to hear that the reward here can unlock a hidden attribute, especially that it can unlock Perception.

He got a skill that depended on perception as one of the rewards, and now the reward was something that could unlock perception. He was sure this was done on purpose. If not, how could such a thing happen?

Even if that was the case, so what?

He was rewarded a lot at the end. So, even if the rewards were given according to a plan, he can make use of them well and improve himself faster with their help. So, there was no problem for him.

"Senior, thank you", Aaron bowed and thanked him.

Though he has doubts about why he was given such rewards, he still withheld them. There should be a reason behind the actions, and he has a feeling that he would soon know if he was fated to know.

"No need to thank me, boy. I am not the one who gave you these rewards. The trials, they gave you these rewards", the man spoke.

Though Aaron didn’t ask any questions, the man gave some vague answers, which enlightened him a bit.

"Anyway, now that you have cleared all five and completed the condition, there is something that I need to tell you", the man spoke in a serious tone.

Hearing the tone and his words, Aaron understood that there was a reason behind these trials, not just rewards, and to know that one has to clear all five trials, and whatever it is, it is something serious.

"What do you know about ruins?" the man asked.

Aaron was surprised for a second that the man knew about the ruins, but he remembered that he was someone who should have met many others, who had taken the trials. He should have learned a lot from the interactions. So, knowing that these are called ruins, shouldn’t be out of reach.

"Ruins are pieces of other worlds that were destroyed. After a world is destroyed, any intact pieces would drift in the void until they come across other places. They would start to integrate with this new world, but as the piece was not truly part of the world, they couldn’t integrate fully", Aaron spoke as he remembered the text from a book he read.

The man nodded, "You were right about that. When a world is destroyed, the pieces would drift in different directions. So, any intact pieces would fall into various worlds, but the world I am from acted differently".

"When my world was destroyed, only three pieces were intact, and whether it was a coincidence or on purpose, they all were attracted to this world and became a part of this world". S~ea??h the ηovelFire.ηet website on Google to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

"Wait, what?" Aaron was surprised to hear that.

Aaron knew from the moment that he saw the senior helping him with the trials, he knew that he was connected with the ruins. They should have come from the same world. It means their world is no more.

His friends, family and everyone that he was familiar with are all gone, but he was stuck here.

Aaron felt bad when he thought about that.

World destruction can happen due to various reasons, and he was sure, one day in the future, the world he was living on would also get destroyed. If that happened, when he was still alive, he couldn’t imagine living alone without his loved ones.

The man was stuck here, for who knows how long. He wanted to show sympathy, but pulled back as he knew that could open old wounds, which might not be good. So, he kept his mouth shut, but he couldn’t when he heard something rare.

Three pieces from the man’s world came here and attached to this world. This was something that shouldn’t happen in normal circumstances.

When a world gets destroyed, the force of destruction pushes everything apart quickly in various directions. Even if there was only a small degree of direction difference, after travelling hundreds of thousands of kilometres, the distance between each piece should be a lot and should end up in various places, but three ended here.

    This should be impossible.
