CHAPTER 347: CHAPTER 347

Once the cultists were cleared, the journey restarted, once the alliance officers came and took statements from the people of the compartment that had lost its door.

One of the passengers was a cultist who opened a way inside. If not for the Red Mage, who was travelling on the same train incognito, it could have been worse.

A long battle could have started, injuries and fatalities could have occurred among the passengers. The officers believed that they were lucky.

Though not much damage has occurred, there was still some damage, especially to the train tracks and the door that was blasted open by the undercover cultist.

If it were just that, the train would have moved a long time ago, but that was not the case. The tracks were gone. There was no way for the train to move. So, they had to wait for a new train from the other side. Until the tracks are repaired, nothing can move along the line.

In the meantime, the alliance officers took down every detail as described by the passengers.

A few hours later, new train appeared, and the passengers were transferred there. The seats remained as they were in the old one. Once everyone boarded, the train left the area.

The rest of the journey was gone without any issues, except for the passengers who got later on cursing about the late arrival of the train. They had no idea about what happened.

The alliance kept the news on the down low. Though some of the passengers have already informed other people about the news, in the time period where such incidents became common, it took time to spread.

If the alliance ha announced about the incident, then it might have spread quickly than it did.

The reason why the alliance kept it quiet was because of what happened.

When this black clothing, masked cultists appeared, the alliance tried its best to uncover who they were. After all, they appeared so late in the game.

Unlike commoners who thought that they belong to a new cult, the higher ups knew that they was no new cult. Infact, there was only one cult ever in existence.

They believed that this group was the Cult’s trump card, probably to drag the alliance down along with them. So, they couldn’t act recklessly.

Everyone cared about their lives. No one wants to recklessly give out their lives.

So, no matter how the alliance tried, they couldn’t catch a member of the group alive. Everyone blew up whenever they were about to be caught. So, they had no luck with finding out the secret, but this time luck smiled on the alliance.

The Red Mage was able to subdue the one who wore the mask with Red mark on it and also three more.

It happened quite a distance from the passengers. So, no one has any idea that this happened, except for Aaron, whose perception has long surpassed most of the awakeners of this world.

Even though he knew, he didn’t spill about the matter. It was not his job to do so.

So, no one outside of a few alliance officers knew about this and they wanted to keep it down low. If anyone comes to check, they could uncover the truth about the prisoners.

The alliance wanted to uncover as much as possible before news about their capture becomes public.

In recent months, the Alliance withdrew their spies from the cult and killed the cult spies inside the organiztion.

Once the supreme was caught and the secrets started to come to light, the cult was in a total loss. Many believed that the cult would die soon, and having spies in the cult would only backlash.

They feared that the cultists might kill the spies inside the organization.

Both organizations knew that they can’t completly stop spies from entering their organization. So, they let a few in, and controlled the narrative. They let the spies know what they wanted them to know.

It was better this way.

Now, such use was no more and wanted to clean the Alliance, but they felt that it was wise to pull out their spies, as the cult could retaliate and kill them. The alliance didn’t want to lose good men who spent so much of their life for the alliance.

This move caught them when the new group appeared out of nowhere. When the alliance believed that the game was about to end, new players appeared, and without any spies, they had no knowledge and they wanted to make the best use of the captured ones this time.

If the cult finds that someone was captured, they might take precautions like changing things that this captured ones might possess.

Dusk Academy...

As a third year, Aaron was assigned new dorm.

As soon as Aaron entered his new dorm in the academy, he messaged Zara about his accommodation and half an hour later, there was a knock on the door.

Aaron smiled as he got up to open the door. He knew who it would be and as he thought, it was Zara standing in front of his door. He quickly let her in.

Aaron kissed her, as soon as he bolted the front door behind.

There was no need to talk for now. They were in touch through communication device all along. He was in touch with all his girls. Except for the brief period where he was stuck inside the ruins, he communicated regularly with his girls.

In fact, he even communicated with the first girl that he had sex with. The girl who took his virginity when he was on his way to the academy for the first time, Samantha.

He was not in regular touch with her.

After their first encounter, sh left her communication with him, but he only contacted after a few months, but there was no response from her for a long time. She only contacted him a few months before.

Unlike other girls, he didn’t flirt with Samantha and neither did she.

They had sex but that was a long time ago. So, there were some regular chats but nothing more.

It may be normal chat with her, but with others it was not.

It has been too long since he was with any of his girls. He craved them and so did they. So, the moment Aaron returned and found a dorm to live in, he messaged Zara about that and she came looking for him.

They didn’t utter a single word.

Aaron let her in and bolted the door. He didn’t want his relationships to be talk of the town.

Once their privacy was secured, he kissed her lips and Zara accommodated his advances. She missed hm too.
