CHAPTER 15 - NEW JUMPSCARE

[Question, I usually try to do 3-5 Chapters a day, should I post them all at once random times of the day or through out the day at consistent times]

Due to his high blood pressure, NeasJ was the first streamer to quit out of the Silent Hill PT experience.

In the second cycle, he failed immediately, got forced out the game in a panic, and headed straight to the hospital.

On the other hand, Saya, one of Twitch's top streamers, was also playing the game.

Unlike NeasJ, Saya was in good health, with no heart problems or high blood pressure.

Before starting, she'd watched Natalie's demo video and did thorough preperation.

Thanks to that, Saya's journey through 'Silent Hill PT' went smoothly at first.

She survived the first two jumpscares, the ghost knocking on the door and the little girl ghost at the bathroom, without issue.

After all, Natalie had given a warning through her livestream. So while Saya was nervous, she wasn't truly frightened yet.

At this point, she had reached the third cycle, and started to hear the eerie sobbing of the female ghost

"Uhhhhh..."

"I remember after turning this corner, the ghost is just standing there in the middle of the hallway..." Saya recalled Natalie's run as she cautiously peeked around.

Sure enough, in the next moment, she saw a faint, tall figure... standing not far away.

"Danger incoming! DANGER!"

"Saya, turn off your lights now!"

"From here on out, it's pure terror. This section forced Natalie into the bathroom, and she died in there!!"

"Exactly! That was the most horrifying part. She thought it was safe, turned around, boom! Instant death. Still gives me chills!"

The viewers were fired up, their eyes glued to the screen.

'Silent Hill PT' may be a free game, open to anyone, but most viewers were too scared to play themselves.

So watching the streamer suffer in their place? That was the perfect entertainment.

Saya was panicking, too. She took a deep breath, trying to stay calm. She already knew what was coming, a series of high stress moments, ending in a bathroom death.

Could she avoid the bathroom entirely?

"Guys, if I step back now would that work Maybe it's better than moving forward!"

She had an idea, maybe a way to break the sequence and dodge the next scare.

"No use! You can't go back!"

"Yeah, the back doors are locked! It's a dead end!"

The viewers were sure it wouldn't work.

"It's still worth a try... right?" Saya didn't agree with the audience. The upcoming segment was brutal. Even with Natalie's video as prep, playing it firsthand was something else.

So she made a fateful decision.

She stepped backward.

And that, unfortunately, was the worst move she could've made.

Because the moment she stepped back, the silent female ghost suddenly moved!

"UHHHHHH!!!"

With a disturbing cry, she twitched like a glitch, stretched her arms out, and sprinted straight at Saya!

"FUCK! FUCK!!!"

Terrified, Saya screamed, turned, and ran, but this only triggered the ghost more!

Her speed doubled.

Bang!

Panicking, Saya forgot where she was. After two steps, she smacked into a wall near the corner.

Modern VR gear doesn't simulate pain, but the sudden stop was jarring. She turned her head, only to see the ghost's pale, distorted face was right in front of her eyes.

A transparent white hand reached out and grabbed her by the face.

"AHHHHHHH NO NO NO!!"

In a panic, Saya tore off the VR headset and collapsed onto the VR platform.

The ghost vanished.

She was back in her room, safe, but completely drained.

Lying on the floor, gasping for breath, face pale.

"Fuck, fuck, That was horrifying! That ghost... holy shit!"

"The way it twitched and ran at you, ugh!"

"I swear I'm gonna have nightmares!"

"I didn't think it'd come at you like that! What the hell!!"

"That was worse than Natalie's jumpscare!"

The livestream chat exploded. This scene? Way worse than Natalie's infamous jump scare.

Everyone had expected a repeat of that moment. But this time, the ghost broke the script and came charging.

When Natalie died, the ghost's face had only flashed on screen. With Saya, the ghost rushed forward in full view, twitching and screaming the whole way.

It took Saya a full five minutes to calm down. She clutched her chest, trying to recover from the jolt.

"What the hell was THAT?!"

"Why did the ghost charge at her like that?! I swear I almost choked on my food!!"

"Poor Saya. That was intense!"

"Why didn't it attack Natalie like that?"

"Maybe... the ghost thinks Saya's uglier??"

Everyone was confused.

Same scenario, same ghost, but a totally different reaction.

Was the game dynamic? Was it responding to the player?

Was it... personal?

"Forget it, everyone," Saya finally said. "I'm not playing this anymore for now. I need a break."

So, like NeasJ, Saya also gave up.

And similar scenes unfolded across countless livestreams that night.

Streamers like LostGirl, BastSon, UGT, each one confidently loaded up 'Silent Hill PT'...

And each one, shortly after starting, quit in a panic.

A strange new phenomenon was forming in the livestream world.

Every streamer knew that 'Silent Hill PT' was the hottest game.

Streaming it guaranteed massive viewership, donations, and popularity.

And yet, no one dared to actually play it.

It was just too scary.

Because, while people love to watch horror...

Being inside one? That's a different story entirely.
