Devil Man
Chapter 35: Dungeon In Dungeon (4): Opening the Last Minor Vein, Intense Hunger
CHAPTER 35: DUNGEON IN DUNGEON (4): OPENING THE LAST MINOR VEIN, INTENSE HUNGER
Matt’s body has become a battlefield for these two devils, who don’t care about his status.
Two foreign, devilish energies moved through his veins and were at odds with each other, ravaging his body with their war.
He felt angry at this; this was his body, but it had been turned into a battleground. His body had been tortured beyond measure And it was because of a single thing: he was weak.
Matt had never felt such an urge for strength, the need to stop weakness.
Weakness is a sin, a sin that brings one’s ultimate destruction.
No matter how a prey runs from a predator, it can’t escape the fate of being hunted and killed unless it becomes a predator itself.
If you condone weakness, that’s the beginning of your downfall.
Matt thought of all of this; he wised up and realized something. He wasn’t supposed to be fearful all the time; there are some things that are meant to be met head-on and fought, not hidden from and waited for the right time.
Matt’s consciousness was slipping away. This time there was nothing that was stopping him from fainting.
But Matt hardened himself before he wanted to die, but now he wants to survive and see how this battle ends, and if possible, he wants the Supreme Devil to win.
Eira, Mia, and others were still waiting. Well, he promised his parents to protect his sister.
The fight continued; his body was shaking, and blood had already stopped flowing from his body. One would think he’s a walking corpse at the moment.
The devilish energy started circulating in his entire veins and body. His body was supposed to be rotting already and being turned into dust.
He didn’t understand why, but he speculated that it was related to his veins that he opened, because he could see that they were containing the devilish energy.
The devilish energy went to his entire major and minor vein, but Matt felt a hellish pain; he gritted his teeth trying to hold it.
Matt felt the devilish energy was trying to break the last minor vein with force, which made him feel pain.
Matt shivered because if it was broken with force, the vein would explode and shatter.
He quickly moved, sinking his consciousness into his body. He appeared in a familiar place, but it wasn’t as white as before; it was now tainted with a lot of black.
This was due to the devilish energy; it had corrupted the white space.
He saw the milky white tree, which wasn’t vibrant and comforting like before. It gives a gloomy aura, tainted with devilish energy; the tree trunk withered, almost dying out.
"So this is the state of my veins," Matt sighed.
The body had lost life force; Matt was just one foot in death and the other in life. He was standing in the boundary of life and death.
Matt immediately moved, his consciousness fusing with the tree. He stood before a gigantic door as tall as a mountain.
One could see some clumps of devilish energy attacking the door.
Matt looked at this door; he wasn’t fighting against one vein, it’s all of his veins, and bringing this means he had transcended something.
He frowned, controlling himself trying to bombard the door, but it was to no avail.
He looked at the devil energy that was before him, thinking of what to do, but nothing came to his mind. If only there were a way that he could control this devilish energy at once.
They are just attacking without a point.
As Matt was thinking of this, the devilish energy stopped. Before Matt knew it, they started attacking him.
He had forgotten the fact that they are mindless energy that attacks and destroys whatever they see.
The devilish energy let out a malicious roar, all of them entering Matt consciousness.
Matt’s consciousness shook from the foreign invasion; his consciousness wasn’t aligned with the devilish energy, and it began to break down.
Matt’s consciousness shook bitterly, his mind was going awry, killing intent rushed into his mind, yet his consciousness was breaking down.
Humans and devils can never be together.
He moved by instinct, just concentrating all the devilish energy into his arms, punching forward with all of his strength.
CRACK!
The door shook, and Matt was surprised when he saw this. Watching the crack, he only found out that it extended to a small range, just a minor part in the door.
He was helpless; it turned out that his story had ended. It was full of fun and joy, and everyone has his/her story to tell.
His consciousness began to break down; everywhere was blurred.
The Supreme Devil and the Ancient Blade Devil felt something was wrong; they had traded blows, but no one came out victorious. This made the Supreme Devil solemn.
He wasn’t like the Ancient Blade Devil, as he couldn’t last longer like it; their moves were only pure blows, no use of skills, or Matt would have exploded into smithereens.
Suddenly, they felt the whole world cracking, the blood was boiling, and the skeleton mountain was cracking,
"What’s happening?" the supreme devil frowned. He extended his senses and found that Matt’s consciousness was disappearing.
He was helpless as he couldn’t help Matt or save the consciousness; he could see it was contaminated with devilish energy, and if he wanted to separate, he would destroy the consciousness.
He doesn’t have enough power, which means if Matt dies, he would be helpless before the Ancient Blade Devil.
"Hahaha, Supreme Devil, it appears that luck is on my side," the Ancient Blade Devil let out a wild laugh.
He can’t wait to devour the supreme devil; if he successfully devours him, he might have a chance to evolve into a supreme devil and might be able to break free from these chains.
This was the temptation that made it do this.
The Supreme Devil was helpless, but it wasn’t backing down without a fight.
When they all thought that everything was going to end, a bright light shocked them.
CRACK! CRACK!
Inside the white space, the door stood mightily, but it turned out to be a facade. The next moment, it shattered into powder, disappearing.
Matt’s veins began to pulsate with energy, emitting a milky white energy; it was as if he was going through some transcendence.
The devilish energy was washed off his veins; it was cleansing him of the filth in him.
The tree was rejuvenated, the branch spreading far and wide, and the devilish energy that contaminated Matt’s consciousness was cleansed away.
Matt was slowly waking up, and when he did, he was surprised by such a scene.
He was expecting dead, but it turned out the door truly broke; this made him delighted.
His veins were all connected—major vein and minor vein—but the next moment, they demanded Originat.
But alas, where Matt was, there was no Originat; it was filled with devilish energy, and intense hunger struck him.
He kept on gasping, still armless and without legs. Matt felt if he absorbed enough Originat, he might be able to regrow his broken arms and legs.
But there was nothing here.
The Supreme Devil and the Ancient Blade Devil looked at this scene; the Supreme Devil could feel the hunger in Matt’s body.
If Matt didn’t satiate it, he would die of hunger. It panicked a bit before its lips curled up into a smile, its eyes on the Ancient Blade Devil, who was unaware of what was going on.
The Supreme Devil secretly released its devilish energy inside Matt’s body.
Compared with the Ancient Devil, it carried a holy and noble aura, which didn’t cause the counterattack of Matt’s veins.
It headed to Matt’s consciousness, trying to confuse him.
Matt’s stomach growled in hunger, he howled in hunger, his stomach was striking him with pain, his mind was getting blurry, and he was suffocating.
His eyes were closing and opening. When he opened them next, he was surprised to see a gigantic foot before him.
Matt’s mind was operating on hunger; controlled by it, he tried to walk before the food before it.
He didn’t know how he was able to walk before where the food was,
Matt stood before the food. He rushed down and bit it, but it felt as if he had eaten metal; his teeth cracked.
The Ancient Devil Blade immediately felt something was wrong because what Matt wanted to eat wasn’t food but his flesh.
He immediately rushed out from Matt’s body, but how would the Supreme Devil allow it? He stopped the Ancient Blade Devil with a smile on his face.
The Ancient Blade Devil immediately felt something was wrong. "You are the one who planned this,"
The Supreme Devil didn’t deny it. He just used his devilish energy to confuse Matt to make him hallucinate that there was food before him, which was a devil flash.
And Matt, who was driven by anger, didn’t think twice and began to try to eat the food.
The Supreme Devil smirked.
