Devil Man
Chapter 36: Dungeon in Dungeon (5): Eating a Devil
CHAPTER 36: DUNGEON IN DUNGEON (5): EATING A DEVIL
"Yo, if you want to kill yourself, don’t involve me," The Ancient Blade Devil roared in fear.
Both devils and humans know that their energy is literally incompatible with one another. He doesn’t understand why the Supreme Devil made this move.
If Matt eats his flesh, he can’t contain his energy; he would explode, and they would join him too, as they are inside his body.
"Ok, I’ll give up; I won’t fight again," The Ancient Blade Devil said quickly.
The Supreme Devil shook his head. "It’s already late,"
The Ancient Devil Blade tried to escape here, but the Supreme Devil kept him at bay. It began to regret why the hell it entered Matt’s body; greed has gotten better control of him.
His only hope is that Matt isn’t able to pierce his skin and eat him up.
But this hope was dashed when the Supreme Devil waved his hands and the devilish energy he released fused with Matt’s teeth, making them sharper than swords and weapons.
Matt’s hunger had reached its peak; he moved, trying to take a bite from the delicious meal before him.
The Supreme Devil watched this; he was also gambling on whether Matt would be able to change.
With one bite from Matt, he had torn a large chunk of the devil, who he thought was food. His Absorb talent is self-activated.
As he tasted it, it was very bitter, but what can the hungry do? He chewed and swallowed quickly.
Immense energy was released from this, which was absorbed by his veins through his talent.
Even though the Blade Ancient Devil was sealed, his flesh still contained the strength of his peak, which means Matt was consuming a peak Ancient Devil.
Even with his talent, Matt’s body wasn’t able to take it; it exploded, leaving his organs, bones, and veins.
If one looked at Matt’s heart, it was wrapped with devilish energy; the Supreme Devil had sealed the vitality of Matt into his heart, which would make the energy not affect him.
His veins began to rot, contaminated with the ancient blade devil energy, but his vein released a milky white energy that expelled it Matt’s body was still screaming for hunger; he didn’t seem to feel pain and also notice the state of his body.
With another bite, he swallowed the devil meat. At this moment, the devilish energy was increasing, making it hard for it to be exterminated.
Devilish energy tainted Matt’s bone; his bone began to rot, while his veins tried to cleanse them off.
The Supreme Devil and the Ancient Blade Devil watched all of this in amazement confusion. This was the first time they were seeing something like this, and also they could feel something familiar in Matt that bore a threat to them, especially the Supreme Devil.
The Ancient Blade Devil stopped and watched all of this with curiosity before he remembered that it was his body that Matt was eating.
Matt’s veins looked like a bottomless hole, absorbing this huge amount of energy in Matt’s body. It can easily filter the devilish energy and absorb the energy contained in it.
Matt took another bite, already getting used to the taste. A large amount of energy was getting absorbed, and the devilish energy became what Matt couldn’t contain again.
He stopped as intense pain hit him; his veins had begun to dry up under the attack of the devilish energy.
The devilish energy spread all over Matt’s veins, the trees are all black, and the devilish energy infiltrates the body of the tree, trying to destroy the heart of the tree.
Inside the tree, there was a large heart that glowed with unknown energy. If Matt had seen this, he would see the similarities between the large heart and the heart that was in his consciousness when he wanted to open his vein for the first time.
And the unknown energy was his talent energy.
The devilish energy began to attack the heart; the unknown energy began to defend against the devilish energy.
But it couldn’t last longer as the devilish energy bombarded it, breaking through the energy, piercing through it as they broke in half.
Matt’s body was writhing in pain as the devilish energy entered his veins and destroyed it. When it reached the heart of the tree and destroyed it.
He regained himself back at the last moment; he could see what happened, and he remembered it all.
He could see his consciousness fading. "So this is what death feels like; it feels good."
Eira, Mia, and his parents figures flashed through his mind, but he was helpless. As much as he hated it, it was salvation to him at the moment.
One mistake can lead to the crumbling of everything.
His eyes opened wide as he lost all signs of life; the eyes were dark, even with remnants of regret and relief.
The Supreme Devil saw this, his eyes lost all hope, while the Ancient Devil Blade laughed out loud, "It seems your plan isn’t going to work."
Either way, he was going to die, but he doesn’t want the Supreme Devil to survive too.
Matt’s flesh began to rot; it was dry before the very eyes of the surroundings, and his flesh turned to dust.
His skeleton began to get dry; some were broken. Only his veins (meridians) were still the same; he just looked like a dead thing.
The Supreme Devil and the Ancient Blade Devil looked at this; they knew that in a few minutes they would also depart from this world.
The Supreme Devil looked; he didn’t regret his choice. It’s either do or die, and the path leads to death.

When Eira awakened her Requiem, Earth changed, the sky turned cloudy as snow began to fall, and everyone was surprised by this as they were in the summer, not winter.
They tried to locate the source of this but were met with nothing; only those who are strong know that some strong Requiem, when awakened, affects and changes weather and nature.
With haste, they quickly tried to locate the source of where the Requiem awakened.Meanwhile, Eira, who was responsible for this, looked at the destroyed Blade Devil, but she wasn’t happy about this; even her Requiem Awakening didn’t bring her joy.
She walked to the edge of the bridge, her cold eyes disappeared, replaced with the ones of someone who had lost her other half.
The Ice Phoenix and the Ice Bow disappeared. She stood there; no one knew what she was thinking about.
The students who stood at the door of the room watched the whole battle. When they saw that Eira’s Requiem had withdrawn, were they able to move? They felt the excitement of being alive; nothing could replace it—it felt good.
They looked at Eira; they wouldn’t deny that they weren’t jealous of her and even thought of taking care of her, but they needed her help to cross the dungeon.
So that leaves a second option to fawn up to her,
"Congratulations, Eira, for Awakening for such a powerful Requiem." Brad was the first to talk, congratulating her.
The others too congratulated her and also thanked her for saving their lives. They know that without her, all of them would have been dead.
Eira didn’t answer them; her figure didn’t move, still looking down at the abyss before her. Everyone felt ashamed, making the atmosphere a bit awkward as they stepped back. Brad frowned when he heard this; his expression was malicious for a moment.
After hours, Eira finally moved; her temperament has changed, becoming more otherworldly, divine, and noble.
The students beside her were ashamed of her aura; she looked at them, not bothering to look at them,
"I am waiting for you, Matt," she muttered, her eyes full of love.
"Let’s go." Her voice was colder than before.
They moved, trying to clear the dungeon. With Eira, it was easy to do.
The students didn’t even feel fear from their aura, feeling more stronger than before. The aura of the devil didn’t even reach 20% of the Blade Devil boss.
They vented their anger on the devils, slaughtering them. If they couldn’t deal with one, the stronger ones would take care of it.
They met other students, joining hands together.Even the final floor boss didn’t last a minute under their joint attack, as they returned to the academy.
It’s been over a month since they entered the dungeon. When they returned, the teachers were shocked by their early return and seeing that seventy percent of the students had survived.
When Eira appeared, the first thing she did was to ask if the teachers could find out about Matt’s situation through their watch.
When the result came out, they couldn’t contact Matt Watch, which means he’s dead. The watch is connected to the holder’s life, which means it dies and is destroyed if the holder dies.
This news was devastating to Eira; she didn’t believe that Matt had died. She kept this belief in her heart,
She was waiting for his return...
