Devil Man
Chapter 41: Battling the Ancient Flame Devil
CHAPTER 41: BATTLING THE ANCIENT FLAME DEVIL
Beside an ice abyss, a young man with black hair and black devilish eyes looked down into this abyss with unknown depth.
Other than him were numerous corpses; some were headless, some were slashed into two, some were without blood, and some only their ashes remained.
Those without blood and ashes were the ones whose bloodline Matt had extracted; for those of the same purity as him, he doesn’t need their bloodline at all, which are those that are headless and divided into two.
Matt couldn’t know how long he had spent in the second level of the dungeon, but he had killed all the Flame Devils that existed here.
The corpses behind are the last batch that remains and had the highest population of the Flame Devil. Surprisingly, there are some intelligent ones, and this last batch were the ones, as they created a village for themselves.
And of which he exterminated all. Thinking of the killing scenes, he subconsciously licked his lips; it was exciting and exhilarating.
"Now to take care of you, Ancient Devil." He grinned, jumping down into the icy abyss.
It was the entrance to where the Ancient Flame Devil was sealed.
Matt didn’t fear as he fell and gravity fell on him. Not long after, he saw the bottom of the icy abyss.
If one was expecting it to be filled with ice, it’s a lie; it was full of lava and fire.
Matt didn’t make any move, not planning to stop his descent. Lava surrounded him, pouring out from an underground hole.
His body landed on solidified lava, his flesh got squashed due to gravity, and only his knees were on the ground.
Matt seems unconcerned by this; within a few seconds, his leg began to grow back, and in the blink of an eye, they were back in one piece.
Devils have quick regeneration, and as an Ancient Devil, also having a Supreme Devil Bloodline in his veins, his regeneration is inhuman and devilish Now it was the subconscious healing of his bloodline, not that Matt controlled it to regenerate his legs.
Matt walked, looking around the place filled with lava. Nothing suspicious. He walked along the solidified lava that had become a rock.
Matt reached the end of the path and saw a massive door,
"Found you," Matt smirked.
He looked at the massive door; with his sight, he could see a tiny crack at the center of the door.
Now he knew the Ancient Devil was able to send those creatures away.
He took a step forward, wondering how to open the door. As he touched the door, everywhere began to shake, and the massive door clicked, opening like it was waiting for Matt.
Matt smiled; he took a step forward, entering through the gap opened by the massive door.
Immediately he entered, the massive door closed back.
Matt wasn’t concerned about this; he looked at what was in front of him.
A monster made of fire and stone. Its whole body glowed with cracks of red light, and flames burned from its skin. Smoke rose from its shoulders and back with every breath it took.
Its eyes were bright and fiery, glowing like burning coals filled with anger. Two sharp horns curved from its head, and its wings were made of pure flame, spreading heat wherever they moved.
Its claws were long and glowing, and every step it took left behind burning marks on the ground. The surrounding air was hot and heavy, and just being near it felt like standing inside a volcano.
It was sitting down cross-legged, its eyes closed. Matt didn’t cower at this; he smiled, rubbing his hands together, and couldn’t wait to battle the devil before him.
The Ancient Flame Devil’s eyes snapped open the next moment. "Oh, it’s you humans that have been killing my descendants." It felt amused by the human before it.
Its eyes shot two clumps of flame towards Matt; these two clumps of flame can burn an emperor into ashes.
Matt didn’t move from where he was; the clumps of fire engulfed him, and an explosion of flame occurred, burning everywhere.
The Ancient Flame Devil saw that Matt’s figure couldn’t be found in the burning flame; it thought that Matt had been burnt into ashes by the flames.
"Tch, such a weak human," the Ancient Flame Devil snorted,
"But how was he able to kill all my descendants?" it said, confused about how.
"Now that’s a good question," Matt’s voice rang out. The Ancient Flame Devil was shocked looked to see Matt walking out of the burning flame unharmed.
Not his clothes or even the tip of his hair were burnt off,
"Do you want to know why?" Matt laughed, his laugh becoming a devil laugh. "It’s because I am strong." Arrogance confidence were emitted from Matt’s body when he said this, and the Ancient Flame felt it.
"What arrogance," the Ancient Flame Devil snorted.
Matt smiled, "Arrogance, you can take it however you want," he smirked.
He walked in front of the Ancient Flame Devil with a smile, not afraid of it, looking at it with craziness.
"Let’s make a little deal. I will break the seal on you, and you fight me. If you win, I will allow you to go, but if you lose, you submit to me," Matt said word by word.
The Ancient Flame Devil was surprised by this proposition; it looked at Matt’s eyes, and all it saw was a craziness.
This made it feel chills, but its arrogance as an ancient devil kicked in. Also, it has been locked here for years, yearning for freedom.
After much thought, it looked at Matt. "I agree." Its words brought delight to Matt.
The seal can be broken by a Devil Emperor or a being with similar strength to it. One might be thinking that since it created its descendants, why didn’t it create one to break him free?
The answer is that the power in where it was sealed suppressed the creation of its descendants here. They were created through his blood.
So it bombarded the door for years, able to breach a gap; it was this gap that it sent his blood through, and they were created.
But another problem came: his descendants strength can’t reach the Ancient Devil Realm, which means they can’t even do any harm to the door.
It commanded them to keep searching for a way until, when it felt that its descendants were dying like sheep, the strongest among them was an Emperor Devil.
The culprit here was a human, who was planning a deal with it.
Matt grinned when he heard the Ancient Fire Devil agreeing to his deal. He stretched his hands, a wave of blade power was released, and the seals were broken.
The seals were ingrained on the flesh of the Ancient Fire Devil, suppressing and sealing its strength.A massive burning flame was released from its body, burning everywhere. Matt wasn’t affected by it; he watched this scene.
"At last I am free," the Flame Ancient Devil roared with happiness, the joy of freedom.
It looked at Matt. "Thank you for saving me, humans."
Its eyes glowed with cruelty, but it suppressed them. "For saving me, I would let you battle me and beat that arrogance out of you."
It didn’t take Matt seriously at all. During its time, it knew how weak humans were. If not for how they were sneak attacked, they wouldn’t be in such a situation.
And also the human that was standing before it was still in his teens; it could sense Matt’s life force.
Matt smiled when he heard the words; he applied pressure on his legs, bolting forward with the force behind it.
Pure body moves.
The Ancient Flame Devil was surprised by this. "It turned out you aren’t all mouth."
Matt punched with his fist thrust forward; all of his strength was channeled into it.
The Ancient Flame Devil also punched; both fists clashed.
Shockwaves were discharged, not able to affect the surroundings, and Matt was sent flying to the wall.
The Ancient Flame Devil took a step back; its mind was in shock.
Matt didn’t stop at this; he charged once again, attacking the Ancient Flame Devil.
The battle continued with Matt’s suppression, but as the battle continued, the crazier Matt was becoming.
His bones were already broken, yet he kept on punching. When his bones dislocated, he put them back in place.
Matt hadn’t dodged any attack of the Ancient Flame Devil but met them head-on.
"This is what battle feels like," Matt roared as he continued to battle.
The Ancient Flame Devil was already getting irritated by all of this; it opened its hands, and a large burning flame was awakened.
Devilish energy was poured into it, covering its fist. It punched at Matt. Matt met it head-on with his hands.
But as both fists clashed, the fire on the fist of the Ancient Flame Devil spread to Matt’s right hand, burning it into ashes in a few seconds.
The force behind it sent Matt flying again..
The Flame Ancient Devil compressed all the flame of its body into a small wisp of flame, emitting an intense amount of energy,
"Young boy, you are strong for your age, but you are weak," it roared, sending the wisp of flame to where Matt had fallen.
It landed on Matt; a deep explosion occurred that burned everything, engulfing everything in it.
The Ancient Flame Devil smiled at this, shaking its head; to it, all of Matt’s words were child play.
Its eyes glowed with excitement; now that the shouting ant had been dealt with, it was free now.
It looked at where the flame was burning; to it, Matt would have been burned to ashes. Even though that attack was looking poor, it had poured fifty percent of its power into it.
"Young boy, thank you, but I am a devil." It shook its head.
Before it could move, it felt an immense surge of devilish energy that shook it,
"Hahahahaha! Hahahaha hahahaha!! Hahahaha!!!" It heard a loud, crazy laughter, so crazy that it felt chills and took a step backward,
"Yo, I forgot to tell you something..." A familiar voice rang out from the flames.
"...I am also a devil, hahahaha."
