CHAPTER 945: SPACE WRAITH

Both the Thunder Lord and the Tower Lord of the Thunder Monarch Hall and Void Soul Tower looked ugly. They had hoped Max to died under the third wraith but to think he would not only survive and would also grown stronger made it very hard for them.

So many geniuses of both the forces had died at Max’s hands and yet they could do nothing about it. Even the wraith of the world could do nothing about it.

’This child cannot be remain alive.’ Thunder Lord thought to himself as a cruel light flashed through his eyes.

But it was the tiger-masked man who stared the longest, his voice low but carrying to those near him. "Three concepts... all at the 3rd level now. And yet—" his eyes lifted to the sky, narrowing as the black clouds above showed no sign of dispersing, instead churning darker, denser, as if a greater storm brewed within. "...and yet the wraiths aren’t finished with him. Could it be..." His fingers tapped against his armrest slowly. "Has he... mastered four concepts?"

The crowd followed his gaze and saw it too—the oppressive clouds, untouched by the end of the lightning tribulation. The murmurs turned uneasy.

"Wait... the clouds are still there."

"Don’t tell me there’s another wraith?"

"What kind of monster survives three and still has to face a fourth?"

"This... this isn’t human anymore."

Up in the sky, the black mass roiled ominously, as though reality itself was holding its breath.

Max stood silently beneath the swirling abyss of clouds, his gaze fixed upward, the faint curve of a smile on his lips betraying neither fear nor hesitation. The air felt heavier than before, as though the sky itself had bent under the weight of something ancient and unknowable.

A deep, resonant hum began to vibrate through the clouds, low at first, but quickly growing into a sound that felt less like noise and more like the fabric of reality straining.

’I wonder what form the wraith of the world for my space element would take?’ Max thought, his mind sharpening.

The oppressive black clouds twisted violently, folding inward upon themselves like a collapsing star, before splitting apart with a soundless tear.

From that rift in the heavens, light did not emerge—instead, darkness spilled forth, pure and absolute, swallowing the glow of the sun and dimming the entire world. Shapes began to form within the void—colossal, jagged rifts that hung in the air like broken shards of an unseen mirror, each one humming with spatial distortion.

Space warped and bent around them, the horizon stretching unnaturally, the ground below groaning as cracks appeared without a single touch.

From the largest rift, a towering figure emerged—faceless, robed in a mantle of shifting space, its edges constantly dissolving into black mist before reassembling again, as though its very existence was unstable.

Around its hands spun dozens of miniature black holes, each one devouring light and air, their pull strong enough to drag stray rocks upward into the sky. The sheer presence of the entity was enough to make the crowd’s vision blur; some clutched their heads, feeling as if their thoughts were being pulled apart and scattered across an endless void.

This was no ordinary force of nature—this was the embodiment of space’s wrath, the will of the world to crush any mortal who dared to claim mastery over its most elusive law.

"Impossible... it’s the Eclipsing Rift Wraith," Emperor Hermes muttered, his voice low but carrying enough weight to make the surrounding leaders turn toward him. "I’ve only ever read about it in ancient records. They say it’s the most dangerous manifestation of the Wraith of the World for the space element—an existence that embodies every instability of the void."

President William’s expression darkened. "The Eclipsing Rift... I thought it was only a myth. Even among Mythic Rank experts, there are almost no records of anyone surviving it."

He glanced at Max in the distance. "For it to appear here, on someone who isn’t even Champion Rank yet... that’s insanity."

The tiger masked person tilted his head slightly, his tone calm but edged with something rare—concern. "It’s not insanity. It’s inevitability. Last time I heard a genius from the White Tiger Nation had comprehended the concept of space and triggered the Eclipsing Rift Wraith during his leveling to Mythic Rank. If not for the timely help and means of the Four God Nation, he would have died that day."

His masked gaze lingered on Max for a moment longer. "If he survives this... then perhaps my earlier suspicion is true, he is truly the third genius in the Star Rank."

Palace Master Howard of the Absolute Sword Palace frowned deeply. "You’re saying the boy not only has sword, flames, and lightning... but also space? That’s too much, even for a Star Rank genius."

"It’s more than that," the old man with the long white beard—the leader of the Bright Buddha Palace—spoke slowly, his voice calm yet heavy. "The Eclipsing Rift Wraith doesn’t appear for those who merely dabble in space. It appears only for those who have already reached the threshold of the third level concept... or those fated to. That kid from the White Tiger Nation was one of the strongest in his generation at that time and from the looks of it, this kid is the same."

He looked up at the sky again, his normally serene eyes reflecting the swirling, tearing void above. "This will either be his ascension... or his grave."

---

The Eclipsing Rift Wraith loomed in the sky like an omen of the end—its body an amorphous silhouette of swirling void and collapsing horizons, its eyes glowing like distant, dying stars. Around it, rifts tore open and closed again, spitting shards of reality into nothingness.

From those rifts, gravity twisted, space folded, and black holes blinked into existence for a heartbeat before vanishing.

Max’s breathing was steady, but his eyes burned—not with fear, but with sharp, deadly intent. In an instant, he activated his Dragon Scales Transformation along with his 800 Draconic Essences. At the same time, four concepts around him roared. Lightning, sword and flames at level 3 concept while the space at level 2 concept.
