Dimensional Tycoon: I Make Trillions in Every World
Chapter 101: Changed Son
CHAPTER 101: CHANGED SON
"Fireball?" Evan repeated.
It was his first time hearing about this spell.
Even Mia had said it countless times before, leaving an unerasable mark in his memory.
Hearing him, she nodded. "Yes, fireball. I bet this will prove to you how amazing this place really is." Her voice exuded confidence and excitement.
It worked.
Evan felt her passion and enthusiasm.
So he shrugged his shoulders, agreeing with a curious expression.
"Lead the way," he said, looking around the corridor. Then his eyes found Noa, offering him a smile. "This is still too much for me to digest. Are you coming with us?"
Without saying a single word, Noa opened the door.
Light from the store penetrated the hall, washing calm over everyone present.
It gave off ambient vibes. The store also showed off a nice, foreign scent and distant, distinctive sounds.
After Yun Qiqi and Puff walked inside, Evan gulped.
He exhaled deeply, waiting for the scene before him with high expectations.
Although the portal had seemingly taken him from one place to another, the idea of stepping into another world hadn’t truly registered in his mind.
But there was a promise—the one his children had made with him.
The notion of seeing something for the first time pushed him to take another step, and he finally reached the doorway.
From there, he saw a lot of things.
Some of them matched his imagination when Noa had described them.
Some went beyond what he had expected.
The rows of shelves were neatly arranged in a huge room, like any corner store he had visited countless times before.
Yet the air felt different, heavier.
It sent pulsing energy from his skin to his heart, sometimes calming and sometimes amazing it.
The surrounding walls shifted.
It was subtle, almost escaping his senses.
No flying swords or gigantic beasts were roaming around. Just a quiet world that felt alive. And considering how heavy the air was, Evan felt lighter, like his body could float into the sky.
His eyes continued scanning the shelves.
They throbbed sometimes, as if they remembered the moon they came from.
Bottles and boxes waited for him to notice. They, too, shimmered with energy he couldn’t really recognize.
Evan wasn’t a cultivator.
It was his first time discovering qi.
However, even he could tell that it wasn’t an ordinary store.
"This is a completely new world, right? With different rules and everything?" he asked finally, walking between the shelves.
"Yep," Noa nodded, glancing at his two employees.
To his surprise, Chen Hao was also present, stopping his conversation with the girls the moment he noticed his arrival.
Even Mo Yuhua and her guards remained still, waiting for his return.
Evan also followed Noa’s eyes and saw them.
He wasn’t surprised to see Noa having people working under him.
But how they acted around him did arouse a couple of questions in his mind. Especially after seeing how all three of them bowed and spoke with reverence.
The tough-looking guards and a cold, rich woman beside them?
They didn’t hold back either, their heads bowing even lower than the others, increasing the number of questions Evan had accumulated.
Yun Qiqi, being a cheeky little brat, noticed his confusion.
She winked at the man at first. "Big Brother Noa is like a god to them," she whispered, explaining the situation. "Sometimes he is even more."
"What?" Evan exclaimed, almost losing control of his voice.
Noa had mentioned that he was respected in this world, but the scene before him and the explanation the little girl gave him weren’t within his expectations.
"Why?" he questioned then, this time controlling his tone.
"Why?" Yun Qiqi repeated, a playful grin manifesting on her lips. "Because he is the coolest."
The man narrowed his eyes.
This childish description didn’t help his understanding.
Mia was also close by, heard the conversation, and she was even looking forward to her father’s reactions.
Now it was her time to be amused.
"Qiqi is right. You will soon see how amazing Big Brother actually is. Just don’t be too surprised," Mia added, forcing Evan’s already narrowed eyes to squint further.
But instead of asking more questions, he sighed.
After finding out how much he didn’t know about his son and even his daughter, a silent sadness crept into his heart.
It was something every parent was destined to experience.
The children he had raised started drifting away from him, building their own lives, without him even realizing it.
Luckily, they brought him here.
It was comforting to know that they trusted him and allowed him to experience a piece of their lives.
Now he would do anything to understand, help, and protect them.
So he nodded, looking at Noa.
His son felt like a completely new person as he stood before these people.
He was relaxed, aloof, and casual, speaking gently with disinterest while also keeping his calm smile.
But each movement he made, each word he uttered, had more weight. Was it a good change or a bad one? Honestly, Evan couldn’t tell.
All he could do was wait and observe his son.
Because at least one thing was certain—he had accomplished something.
Something worth feeling proud of.
Two minutes later, Noa completed his conversation with Chen Hao and received a report about the sect.
The migration process had been completed.
Now, even more people flocked to the sect, demanding a chance to join them.
The future looked promising, especially with the alchemy hall and a manual library Noa had built for them, increasing their progress and potential a millionfold.
After hearing short information about the sect, Noa excused himself and left the building with others.
Yun Qiqi and Mia practically hopped around, their faces showing a thrill and love of adventure.
Umbu walked beside them, not enjoying the setting sunlight.
Puff also wriggled across the ground, unbothered.
Evan walked slowly, his eyes hungrily studying the outside world as if to judge what it had to offer.
"It’s going to be hot," Mia said suddenly. "Don’t be surprised."
