Chapter 33 : Khan, Again?!
*Bang*
A collision happened, raising yet another giant dust screen and as it cleared, the stone demon was seen lying on the floor, whimpering and vibrating.
Deep into its back was a large sword summoned by Axton.
Axton had used his aura sword to fight this time, conjuring the aura sword summon technique as it couldn’t risk going close to the demon.
"Y-You!"
The stone demon struggled to rise to its feet but given the sheer length of the aura sword, this was extremely difficult.
"Damn you, human! Just wait...!" the demon yelled in agony, "The great demon emperor will crush yo—"
*Shing*
In a single sword slash, Axton severed the head of the stone demon, separating it from its body.
As usual, notifications of bus rewards dropped but Axton was now more focused on the remaining monsters that he had lured to the ninth floor.
Without wasting any time, he summoned three aura swords using the full power of his aura sword summon skill to slay the large number of monsters.
While some managed to escape with their lives, many were killed in that vicious attack of his.
After he was done with that, Axton settled down and looked at the notification that came in.
His experience points were massive thanks to 100x critical hit bonus.
However, what caught his eyes was the item that had come as a reward.
He received an air floater, a type of footwear that would allow him to stay in the air longer than normal.
The air floater shoes were grade 4 items but with the upgrade in quality and quality, Axton had the option of choosing between one hundred of this grade 4 item or upgrading it to a grade 5 Talarin.
[Grade 5 Talarin] was the go to choice.
...
[Talarin]

Description : Allows the user to jump 300 metres into the air in a single direction. Does not allow directional modifications.
Skill : [Floating]
...
’Sweet!’
Axton clenched his fist and slightly punched the air in excitement.
As expected of a grade 5 weapon!
With this, he has gained advantage in aerial battle, even before he had been engaged in one.
...
[Skill : Floating]
Grade : 5-star (Level 1)
Description : This skill allows the user to move freely in the air for 120 seconds. Base distance : 500 metres. (Cool down : 5 minutes).
Drawbacks : Consumes 50 mana points. Requirements level 8 player to use.
Note : +1 level up increases base distance by 50 metres and time limit by 10 seconds up to a max of level 20.
...
"Level 8, huh?" he muttered and chuckled, knowing full well that with the experience points he had acquired, he would easily go up to level 8.
The rewards for killing the smaller level monsters.
Some of the monsters were ranked lower than him and so didn’t give much experience points.
A few over them involved beasts at a level higher than his, and while these should have given a tremendous amount of experience points, it did not compare to the work he had to do.
Axton gained more coins and healing potions but no high grade weapons dropped, simply common grade items, which in this case he wanted for the quality upgrade over quantity.
"Level up."
[+1 Level up!]
[+1 Level up!]
[Your level has risen by +2]
[You have gained free 10 stat points to distribute at will]
[Your beast has level up]
[Beast level increased by +2]
In the summon space, his terra dragon was engulfed in a white light just like he was also covered in it.
*Shing*
They instantly experienced the double level up simultaneously.
Axton, after this, decided to make some modifications to his preference of items.
*Click* *Click*
"Looks like I might have to switch from speed boots to this pair of talarin," he said to himself, "the attributes are just too good to overlook."
In the end, Axton heaved a sigh.
"Suffering from success," he muttered, his mind drowning in indecision.
He had a lot of good items and now, he was confused on how to use them.
He threw his head back and looked to the sky.
"If only there was a way to combine the attributes of speed boots and the talarins into one item. Tough luck, tch!"
Realising that he was asking for the impossible, Axton shook his head as if shaking off the thoughts from his mind.
Using the experience points he gained, Axton upgraded the grade 5 talarins, maxing out the [Floating] skill by virtue of this. This meant that he was floating about one and a half kilometres above the ground.
After this, he decided to also level up his [Flash Sword Attack], increasing his agility when using the attack up to five times his speed.
This made him an even deadlier figure to come across.
Every time his eyes caught sight of the speed boots, Axton couldn’t shake off this feeling of letting it go.
He knew within himself that with the talarin giving more agility boost and a better skill, he would be more inclined to use it more often from now.
However, Axton was reluctant to simply throw the speed boots away and get rid of one of his favourite skills, the [Flash step].
The flash step skill had saved his ass many times and helped him come to this point he currently is.
He thought of selling the item off to any player who would be interested but couldn’t make a firm stand on that either.
[You are the first player to slay a grade 4 boss monster]
[You have earned 1 Mythical point]
[You have earned +300 reputation points]
[You have triggered a worldwide announcement]
[Do you wish to conceal your identity?]
"No."
At this point, Axton was bolder than ever.
He didn’t hide his name when he was coming up, he was not going to hide it now that he was strong enough to hold his own easily against any foe he has met so far.
*Ding*
Across the beautiful blue sky and grey cloud, a mechanical panel appeared for all the players to see above them with the notification prompt ringing in their heads.
*Ding*
[World Announcement]
