CHAPTER 133: CHAPTER 133: LYING ON THE BED SHE SLEPT IN, LONGING MADLY
Xiaoxiao’s class ended at 8:40 PM, Gu Qimiao had nothing to do, so she decided to go for a walk and pick her up from her teaching building.
The two of them went out to eat something before coming back together.
Seeing Xiaoxiao as cheerful as usual, Gu Qimiao felt she had no reason to be sad.
Xiaoxiao could pull herself together despite Gu Moming’s bad attitude towards her, while she and Shen Yanchen could still coexist peacefully.
After staying here for only a few days, Gu Moming said he would come to pick her up as the house over there was ready to move into after renovations.
Gu Qimiao also didn’t want to keep staying at someone else’s house; having her own nest would be better. It seemed that since returning to the country, she felt like a stray child staying at others’ homes.
The day Gu Moming came to pick her up, it felt warm and comforting. In her mind, he was her only family, even though he often bullied her, his presence made her feel secure.
Like a manly man, he carried all her luggage by himself and didn’t drive his flashy red Ferrari, just a regular SUV.
When Gu Qimiao asked him why, he simply said, "I worry your crappy luggage will scratch my car!"
Gu Qimiao pouted and sat in the front passenger seat, "So what if it gets scratched? You can fix it yourself anyway."
Gu Moming gave her a glare, but seemed to be in a good mood, "What do you want to eat for dinner?"
"I want to eat crayfish."
They drove to the apartment complex; it was beautiful. The corridor was well-lit when exiting the elevator, and one side of the wall was entirely glass, offering a clear view of the night scenery outside.
Their room was the last one on the right after getting off the elevator. Back then, Gu Moming had said that this room was easier to remember, fearing Gu Qimiao might not find her own room when coming home.
The layout looked beautiful last time, and now after the renovations, it was even more pleasing to the eye.
The decor was in a pastoral style according to her preferences, with soft colors that girls tend to like. Gu Moming managed all the renovations, and it turned out prettier than she expected. After all, a carefree guy like him pulling off such a neat and refined style was quite something.
The first floor had the living room, kitchen, and a bathroom. There was also a balcony outside with a platform for placing potted plants. She had always wanted a big balcony like this, filled with her favorite flowers and plants, with a small table and chairs set up to enjoy afternoon tea and do some painting under the sun.
The bedroom upstairs was simpler in style, perhaps because the space was too large, making it look a bit empty with only one bed placed.
Gu Qimiao looked at him and questioned, "Didn’t I tell you to buy two beds?!"
Gu Moming raised an eyebrow, "I bought them; the other one hasn’t been delivered yet."
After walking around inside and out, overall, Gu Qimiao liked this place very much. The high floor was quiet, the lighting was excellent, and the size of the house was just right for two people.
Then he took her out to eat crayfish. Moving this time had indeed eased her mood a bit, but only a few days had passed, and she missed him a lot.
Not living together anymore meant she couldn’t even find an excuse to call him.
Each day, she went to the gallery for work, then wandered around Gu Moming’s shop, and the two of them would go out to eat together. This kind of life felt almost as if they were back in Italy again.
During the free weekends, she went to the flower market, bought a small potted plant and some seeds to grow. Since she couldn’t carry everything, she called Gu Moming to pick her up.
But she never noticed that a black sedan had been appearing frequently not far behind her.
After she moved out, he found himself unable to live as calmly as before. He would get distracted thinking about her at work, and at night, lying on the bed she slept on, he was consumed with longing. So he drove a particularly inconspicuous car, going over to look for her from time to time, just wanting to catch a glimpse of her.
