Chapter 1567 876: Lanci and Hyperion's Wonderful Day_3
Hyperion originally felt this wasn't worth considering, but since it was Lanci, she agreed.
As they stepped up layers of stairs, the Ethereal Palace, forged by thousands of years of belief, appeared before them.
Their steps crossed the palace doors.
When the blazing natural light shone through the window lattices onto the white reliefs, the various Divine Statues seemed to flash, giving them an illusion that the deities were enacting ancient legends.
"But are you really on vacation..."
Hyperion always felt this person couldn't stay idle.
It's not that he's actively seeking work and making himself busy; he actually wants to be idle, but his enthusiasm means he takes on any commission he can help with.
She knows all the work Lanci has been doing is originally for the Sage Academy. Since Dean Loren couldn't return, it all fell to Professor Bolao of the Magic Engineering College, who now handed it over to Lanci, effectively returning it to the Sage Academy.
"When I can calm down and appreciate the flowers by the roadside and ponder their names, that should be when I'm on vacation."
Lanci expressed his standards for vacation and work.
Defined not solely by busyness or workload, but by an inner feeling of leisure.
"That's quite reasonable."
Hyperion nodded again.
They traversed the sacred and tranquil spaces deep within the temple, the pure white stone pillars standing solemnly in the great hall. The further they walked, the clearer their footsteps became. Enjoy the story by reading on M|V|LE%MPYR.
When they arrived at the giant door of the Temple Secret Room, Hyperion gently knocked on the door, interwoven with pure white jade and deep gray stone.
"Miss Florence, this is Hyperion, may I disturb you now?"
"Please come in, please come in."
Accompanied by the sound of books falling onto the floor or perhaps accidentally knocking down a pile of documents on the table, Florence's words of eager anticipation resonated from inside the door.
Lanci and Hyperion each took a side, pushing open the heavy stone door, revealing an office with a high ceiling reminiscent of a Holy Temple, the walls filled with the tomes of the Church of the Goddess trapped in the grooves of white bricks.
In the center of the sanctuary's meeting area, a male, akin to a youth, sat quietly behind the desk.
Florence was slightly surprised to see Lanci today, but quickly transformed her surprise into joyous welcome.
"Hello Lanci!"
Florence smiled and waved, greeting Lanci and Hyperion, her dimples showing.
"Come on over and sit."
She stood up, gesturing for Lanci and Hyperion to sit on the meeting area's sofa.
After Lanci and Hyperion closed the door, she straightforwardly removed her disguise, returning to her original form.
She appeared to be only slightly more mature than a student of the Ichrite Academy, exuding a harmless aura all over, with delicate features and supple skin, her red lips being her most striking feature, yet seemed not cosmetic but natural.
Most importantly, she, like the president, had pearwood-colored hair.
This made Lanci and Hyperion feel closer to her.
"Miss Florence, it's been a long time."
Lanci and Hyperion took a seat, greeting Florence.
During their time in the student council, both received much care from the president, and after the three bullies in Royal Capital handled many incidents, the president managed the aftermath for them, ensuring things settled smoothly.
"The concealment transformation magic you helped me make was really useful and saved me a lot of trouble, deserving the title of a Platinum Level Card Maker."
Florence sincerely praised, without a hint of flattery.
"You're too kind, too kind, I may be the worst Platinum Level Card Maker when I'm alone, haha."
Lanci replied with a smile.
He heard from Hyperion about Florence's state after learning Loren had perished under siege by the three War Gods.
But now, it's entirely impossible to tell that Florence was previously in tears, her face now radiating a glow.
This made him feel at ease.
"Miss Florence, what did you want to ask me today?"
Hyperion asked Florence.
"Should I leave for a bit?"
Lanci promptly inquired of both.
"No, no need!"
Florence waved her hands repeatedly.
It wasn't anything significant within the Church, and besides, Lanci was also in the know.
"You probably know, right? In about a month, Loren will return to the Hutton Kingdom, perhaps passing by Ichrite for a day or two..."
Florence fiddled nervously with her fingers, speaking to both.
Originally, after some time here, she should have returned to the Canberra Kingdom in the Western Hub Zone of the South Continent.
Because of the war, she lingered here for several months.
Now that the war has initially ended, she's afraid she won't be able to stay much longer before returning.
Back in her hometown Canberra Kingdom, she mostly needs to disguise herself as a male, so in the awareness of most, she appears to be a young man.
This is all due to her being born into the Arlered Military Merit Family in the Western side of Canberra Kingdom on the South Continent. As the eldest daughter, Florence was designated by her father, Duke Arlered, as the next Family Head after discovering that the eldest son lacked fighting talent.
But before that, she wanted to see Loren once more.
If they don't meet this time, the next chance might only be far far in the future.
The Western Hub Zone doesn't have the same affinity for Loren as the Eastern regions do; the hatred and vigilance towards the Cerryti Empire won't dissipate for a long time, leading Florence and Loren to unconsciously become the emperor of enemy nations and a duke's daughter.
