Don't Fall For Me, CEO
Chapter 133: Disrespecting You
CHAPTER 133: CHAPTER 133: DISRESPECTING YOU
"Mom, please don’t do this."
"Old lady, let it go."
"July, quickly apologize to your grandmother. It’s rare for the whole family to be together; acting like this is out of line."
Seeing the conflict escalating, Amanda and Henry hurried over to hold back Sue.
Charles also tried to persuade July.
As for Nina, she remained as quiet as a mouse.
It wasn’t that she didn’t want to make her presence felt at this moment, but she was worried that if she made a wrong move, July might reveal her connection with The Shaw Family.
Currently, Charles only knew that July was married to the president of the Regalscape Group, and he was already paying so much attention to her.
If he were to find out that July had also become the savior of the entire Shaw Family, who knows if he might hand over the entire Quinn Family to July.
Fearing to be cast aside by The Quinn Family, Nina opted to stay put, not giving July the chance to expose that layer of relationship.
And July?
She observed the scene with an outsider’s detachment.
"I’m willing to let it go, but is she? Look at this useless girl’s attitude..."
Despite being held back by Amanda, Sue remained persistent.
Her eyes, covered with fine wrinkles and slightly clouded, were fixed on July’s radiant and charming face like a sakura blossom, with a gaze as resentful as a snake’s.
She recalled the first time she met July; she had, just like now, showed off her beautiful face, making her two granddaughters look like mere foils.
As an elder, no one would want to see others overshadowing their descendants.
Especially since this girl was brought back by Charles from outside.
So, from that moment, Sue saw July as a thorn in her side, a thorn she wished she could personally remove to protect her granddaughters!
But who would’ve thought that the girl would grow up even more beautiful, and the man she found was so exceptional, he practically rubbed Nina’s face in the dirt.
In this situation, how could Sue possibly stand the sight of the two of them?
What she hadn’t anticipated was that July dared to scold her publicly!
But what was even more unexpected was yet to come.
Just as she was about to call July "useless girl" again, Kyle Keaton suddenly put the teacup in his hand down heavily on the table.
The sound was loud, not only interrupting Sue’s words but also causing Charles, who was busy trying to mediate, and Amanda to look over at him involuntarily.
Even Nina, who was unusually quiet today, and July, who had been watching Sue’s antics with cold eyes, were included.
"I don’t know if my wife’s ’useless,’ but if you call her that again, I can make it so you’ll never speak another word."
The man’s handsome face suddenly turned sharp, like autumn leaves swept by a fierce wind.
Though his voice wasn’t loud, the powerful aura it carried overwhelmed the crowd, making it hard for them to breathe.
Especially Charles, whose forehead began to sweat profusely.
Who can’t speak another word?
The answer is... the dead.
If Kyle had said such things before, Charles might have taken it as a joke.
But now, knowing Kyle is the president of Regalscape Group, with his current influence in Westmarch, making someone disappear would be quite easy.
So, he clearly understood that Kyle wasn’t joking at all, and he hurriedly tried to calm things down.
"Keaton, the children’s grandmother just has this kind of temper. Please don’t be angry. We’re all family; harmony is most precious."
But Kyle just sneered, "If harmony is what you want, then why isn’t this old lady the one to apologize first?"
Charles was at a loss for words.
Partly because of the way Kyle referred to Sue, but mainly because of his unwavering support for July.
His instinct told him that trying to persuade Kyle to reconcile at this point would only worsen his relationship with them.
As Charles fell silent, Sue became even more infuriated.
"What did you call me? You rude boy!"
This exceptionally handsome man opened his mouth and called her "old lady," igniting the fire that had yet to extinguish before.
Henry also felt that Kyle had gone too far, so he no longer held back Sue.
Thus, Sue almost rushed up to Kyle.
Ultimately, she was stopped by Amanda.
Through Amanda, Kyle maintained his composure and reiterated to Sue, "Old lady."
"I’m still their grandmother, how dare you treat me like this, I..." Sue was so enraged her face turned red, and she could barely speak.
"Very angry? Then that’s just right."
Watching Sue fume with rage, Kyle suddenly smirked.
"If you want respect from others, you must first learn to respect others. Since you don’t respect my wife, I won’t respect you even if you’re the king of heaven!"
