Chapter 868: All Men Are the Same
CHAPTER 868: CHAPTER 868: ALL MEN ARE THE SAME
"Does she really look like Laura, and coincidentally has the surname Quinn?"
Richard Donovan squinted his eyes, but seemingly had an idea, and quickly dialed out a phone call.
"Check a person for me..."
About half an hour later, July Quinn’s information was delivered to Richard Donovan.
There wasn’t much recorded, other than July Quinn’s age, and that she was the adopted daughter of Charles Quinn, who was conspired against by the Quinn Family.
"Adopted daughter?!"
"20 years old... When I was with Laura, she was exactly that age too. Could she be..."
A certain answer seemed to be emerging.
He felt he needed to do a paternity test with July Quinn!
But Richard Donovan knew that the first impression he left on July Quinn today wasn’t very good.
If he went to July Quinn for a paternity test now, she would probably reject it.
So, he decided to arrange a meeting with July Quinn and see if he could find an opportunity to take away her personal items.
After making this decision, Richard Donovan took an old yellowed photo from a book.
The woman in the photo looked extremely similar to July Quinn, except her brows and eyes were much softer than July’s.
"Laura, if July is our child, was I wrong?"
The woman in the photo didn’t respond to Richard Donovan, but his eyes welled up with tears again...
*
Today, July Quinn was seeing patients at Serenity Clinic.
However, besides some patients with difficult and miscellaneous illnesses, a strange old man came today.
The old man brought quite a few thank-you gifts, saying it was to thank July Quinn for curing his arteriosclerosis.
July Quinn didn’t pay much attention, after all, she had cured many patients, and the old man couldn’t rank among them.
But when July refused to accept the thank-you gifts, the old man started trying to sell his grandson.
"Young lady, why don’t I let my grandson marry you? He has no marriage history, no bad habits, is rich and handsome, just a bit quiet."
"Cut it out, old man. I have a man!"
July Quinn was busy writing prescriptions, not even raising her head.
But the old man kept trying to persuade: "You have a man? Your man surely isn’t as handsome as my grandson, nor as rich as him. I guarantee that my grandson is definitely one of the best in the country. You won’t lose out marrying him."
"I won’t lose out marrying my man either. My man looks good too, is rich. And let’s not forget I’m not poor."
Recently, July Quinn had cured many elderly patients with difficult illnesses, and many wanted her to be their granddaughter-in-law.
So July presently met quite a few who wanted their grandsons to marry her, she’s used to it by now.
"I’m really not lying, my grandson is very good. If you don’t agree soon, my grandson will be snatched away by some other female fiend and married away..."
The old man was anxious.
Because early today, his grandson told him that he was getting married.
"So you’re putting me in the role of Tang Monk, wanting me to take your grandson on a pilgrimage?"
"Not at all! I’m hoping you two can give me some great-grandchildren soon, how could I make you be Tang Monk?"
"Old man, even without being Tang Monk, I’m not interested in universal salvation; I just want to enjoy three meals a day and peaceful times with my man."
"I agree with three meals a day and peaceful times, but the man can switch to my grandson! After all, when the lights are off at night, aren’t all men the same?"
As July Quinn was itching to give this old man attempting to disrupt her and Kyle Keaton’s relationship a good beating, a man in a neatly tailored suit suddenly walked in, respectfully said to July Quinn:
"Miss Quinn, Mr. Donovan invites you to the café across the street for a chat."
