Doomsday Chat Group: Conquering the Multiverse Heroines
Chapter 154: Ram and Rem’s Joint Service!
CHAPTER 154 - RAM AND REM'S JOINT SERVICE!
"I will save you, and I will kill you."
Ren leaped in front of Betty, his Zanpakuto in hand, and slowly crouched down. The blade easily pierced Betty's heart, going straight through her back. She gently closed her eyes, quietly awaiting the death she desired.
Ren pulled out his bloodless Zanpakuto, stood up, and walked toward the door. "From today on, you are free," he said. "You can live for yourself." With that, he left the room.
Betty's eyes snapped open. "I'm not dead!" she exclaimed. Only then did she realize her heart had not been pierced. She didn't understand the meaning of Ren's words. If she wasn't killed, there was no end. As long as the contract existed, she could never be free.
The contract...
Betty suddenly stood up, staring at her hands in shock. Her crystal-clear eyes trembled as she murmured in disbelief, "The contract... it's gone..."
Soon after, Emilia had recovered her usual spirited demeanor. The "Doom Companion" event had not yet ended, so they would not be leaving for now. After a lavish dinner, the castle's blonde head maid arranged rooms for each of them to rest.
Ren was just about to go to sleep when the door clicked open. Under the clear moonlight, he saw two figures, one in blue and one in pink.
"Rem?" Ren wondered. "Is something wrong?"
Rem walked up to Ren and bowed deeply. "Master, thank you for helping my sister restore her horn."
"Ah, so that's it," Ren said, waving his hand. "Since I value you two sisters, these are minor things."
Rem looked up. "Perhaps in Master's eyes, this is a very small matter, but in Rem's eyes, it is the only salvation in her heart." Her eyes held a flood of emotions she longed to express.
Ren remained silent, quietly listening to her story.
"Rem and my sister are the forbidden twin single-horned demons of the Oni tribe," she began. "The moment we were born, the patriarch tried to kill us."
At that moment, her single-horned sister released a powerful burst of energy, shocking the patriarch and saving their lives. In the Oni tradition, every Oni has two horns. As twins, they each only inherited one horn and were originally fated to be abandoned. However, Ram's innate strength made the patriarch realize the twins were different, and so they survived.
A smile appeared on Rem's lips. "That was the first time Rem was protected by her sister." She continued, "My sister has powerful magical talent, but I am completely different."
Despite being twins with one horn each, their abilities were polar opposites. Ram's abilities were outstanding, and she was praised by her elders as she grew up. Rem, realizing she could not surpass her sister, chose to follow her from another angle.
"It wasn't until that day... that I realized how despicable and contemptible I was," Rem confessed, her head bowed low, hands clenched tightly.
Rem had thought she had given up on the idea of catching up to her sister and had accepted that the gap between them was insurmountable. However, when the Witch Cult attacked their village to protect Rem, Ram's only horn was cut off.
"My sister's horn was broken. My first reaction wasn't worry, but... I smiled..."
"What I thought was, 'Ah, my sister's horn is finally broken.'"
The true source of Rem's guilt was her deep-seated jealousy toward her sister. When Ram lost her horn, Rem felt a sense of relief inside. This momentary thought, which released the pressure she had felt since childhood, made her feel utterly ashamed. Her sister had saved her, yet she had such a despicable thought. This was the betrayal of the sister who saved her, a betrayal of their sisterly affection, and the reason Rem had always felt guilty.
"Such a me... is so despicable," Rem choked out.
Ren understood that this twisted jealousy was simply human nature. He bent down, wiped away her tears with both hands, and gently asked, "And now? Ram's horn has been restored. How do you feel now, Rem?"
A happy smile appeared on Rem's lips. "Very happy. Rem will no longer be jealous of her sister. Sister's horn has been restored, and Rem is genuinely happy for her."
"Did you hear all that, Ram? What do you think?" Ren said with a smile, looking up.
"Eh!" Rem turned around in a hurry, seeing Ram standing behind her.
"Sister..."
Ram had heard everything and understood Rem's guilt. "Sigh..." she let out a long sigh, walked slowly to Rem, and gently hugged her. Her eyes, covered by her pink hair, were full of sisterly affection and tenderness. "After all, you're my silly little sister. How could I blame Rem?"
"Sister..." Rem cried loudly in Ram's embrace, moved by her words, as Ram gently stroked her hair.
In the midst of this heartwarming scene, Ren seemed superfluous and quietly suppressed his presence. After their emotions had subsided, they noticed Ren again and wanted to thank him for his help.

Early in the morning, Ren woke up to the Chat Group's notifications.
"Oh? Satella's mission is complete?"
"Yes, Master," a crisp voice responded as shadows on the ground surged. Satella had returned.
"Master, be careful! It's the Witch Cult!" Despite being naked, Ram and Rem quickly shielded Ren. They were extremely sensitive to a witch's aura. But upon seeing Satella's face clearly, they both exclaimed simultaneously, "Lady Emilia!"
Ren embraced the two of them. "Don't worry, she's one of us. Let me introduce you: Jealousy Witch Satella."
"Hello," Satella said gently. Without the personality of the Jealousy Witch, Satella's demeanor was not much different from Emilia's.
"Eh?" they gasped. Jealousy Witch Satella! How could they not have heard of that name, which was so famous throughout the world? Just as they were about to ask what was happening, the door burst open.
"Ren, the mission is over!" It was Exu's joyous shout; she was eager to share the news. When she saw the situation inside the room, she froze. Three naked people, along with someone who looked very much like Emilia, were gathered in the room.
"Uh..." Exu scratched her hair, her cheeks flushed. "Looks like I didn't come at the right time, huh?"
Ren raised an eyebrow. "What do you think?"
"Goodbye!" The door closed with a bang.
Ren patted his forehead. "Let's put on some clothes first."
Ren also gave Ram and Rem a rough overview of Satella and the other witches. Both of them were amazed by his powerful strength. When they walked out of the room, many pairs of eyes stared at them—some gentle, some playful, and some shy.
Ren pretended not to see them. "The mission is complete; it's time for us to go back."
"Eh! Is everyone leaving now?" Emilia's cheeks flushed, and she seemed a little reluctant. It was her first time having so many friends, and everyone was separating so soon. It seemed she had recovered her spirits and moved past the sadness of being used by Roswaal.
"We're not saying goodbye forever," Ren reassured her. "My Ram and Rem are still with you and will come back." He wasn't planning to take Ram and Rem back with him right now, as Emilia still needed people there. He had already discussed this with them, and they had gladly agreed.
Saeko Busujima nodded. "That's right. Not only can we come back, but Emilia can also come to our side." Emilia understood that all good things must come to an end. Despite her reluctance, she still smiled. "I understand, everyone. Goodbye."
Ren smiled slightly. Exu and the others chose to leave one after another. Ren first informed Reinhardt and Mikoto Suoh in the Chat Group.
[Ren: "Reinhardt, Mikoto Suoh, the journey is over. We're going back."]
[Mikoto Suoh: "Okay, I'm going back too."]
[Reinhardt: "Thank you all for your help."]
Ren chose to confirm his return, and before leaving, he waved with a smile toward a certain corner. From the shadows of the stairs, Betty emerged, opening her mouth to say something, but Ren's figure had already disappeared.
"..."
Betty stood there lost, she had missed him.
"Betty, don't be sad." Puck suddenly appeared, floating beside Betty and stroking her head to comfort her. "Little brother Ren will come back."
As Betty's brother, Puck already knew that her contract had been destroyed by Ren, and she was now free.
"Next time, be braver, okay? You must convey what you want to say in person."
Betty looked up, her eyes filled with courage. "Next time, Betty will definitely do it!"
