Chapter 1060: Back To Fenglong City
TL: GoldenLung
“Alright,” Bai Xiuxiu said. “Are you planning to tell him now that you’re also a member of the Dragon Clan?”
Lan Xuanyu shook his head. “No rush. We’ll take it one step at a time. Revealing that too early could be risky. Let’s first see how they treat you. From our previous conversation with them, it seems they value your strength most. If Huang Yuanlang has any inappropriate intentions toward you, that’ll be the time to reveal my identity.”
“Mm.” She nodded.
Lan Xuanyu then turned to Liu Feng. “Frenzie, get in touch with Liang Pu. Tell him to come to Fenglong City and open a shop as soon as possible, preferably near the mineral trade center, focused on buying and selling ores. Use the proceeds from our last operation as start-up capital. Also, have him prepare legal identities for each of you. That’ll make our long-term operations here a lot easier.”
“Got it.”
Lan Xuanyu then addressed Qian Lei. “Fatty, you and Mengqin take a look around. Find us a place to stay—somewhere quiet, not too luxurious or eye-catching, but big enough for us to live in.”
“No problem,” Qian Lei readily agreed.
“Huihui, Yuge, you two come with Xiuxiu and me to check out the residence Huang Yuanlang arranged. Frenzie, Little Trea’s illusion on you will last three days, so be sure to return by the third day.”
After many trials, the Treasure Seeking Beast had learned to solidify its illusions for longer periods. However, it required the subject not to engage in battle. A fight or any strong energy fluctuation would cause the illusion to break down, revealing the person’s true form.
The previously simulated Space Worm had been discovered shortly after they left due to powerful spatial fluctuations in that area.
Lan Xuanyu finished delegating tasks, and soon, the group arrived at Fenglong City.
The seven of them split up and went their separate ways.
This visit was very different from the last. Previously, they were completely unfamiliar with Celestial Dragon Planet. This time, their primary objective was to establish roots, beginning with acquiring legal identities.
Lan Xuanyu already had a preliminary plan. The Douluo Federation wouldn’t be able to defeat the Dragon Horse Galaxy overnight.
Celestial Dragon Planet was vast and resource-rich—there was so much they could gain. More importantly, it was one of the capital planets of the Dragon Horse Galaxy, meaning most of the system’s resources flowed here.
If they wanted to access and funnel those resources back to the Federation, the Academy, and Tang Sect, a merchant identity would be most effective. That was the purpose behind leaving Liang Pu behind as a “pawn” last time.
Liang Pu was a genuine Blue Sea clan member. His background could withstand scrutiny. If their business expanded in the future, Liang Pu’s value would only grow, while they remained hidden behind the scenes—much less likely to be exposed.
Fenglong City was only the starting point. Once all members of the Thirty-Three Sky Wings arrived, Lan Xuanyu planned to expand the business into every city. With a legitimate industry as a cover, they could do much more and raise less suspicion.
Bai Xiuxiu and the other three headed toward the location sent by Huang Yuanlang.
Celestial Dragon Planet had various transportation options, and flying was not prohibited. Many beings in the Dragon Horse Galaxy could fly, especially the Dragon Clan.
Although dragons weren’t numerous, their enormous size made them highly visible when flying.
The widest central avenue was reserved exclusively for dragons. Other species had to walk along the sides, making the streets feel very spacious.
With her dragon identity, Bai Xiuxiu walked confidently along the main avenue, with Lan Xuanyu, Tang Yuge, and Yuanen Huihui following behind.
Soon, a large vehicle, somewhat resembling a soul-powered car but much larger, pulled up in front of them.
“Lady Xiu, we’ve been sent by the young city lord to pick you up.” The speaker was Elaysian, whom they had met previously.
“Mm.” Bai Xiuxiu was the first to board the vehicle, speaking coolly, “This thing looks like a giant beetle. Pretty ugly.”
Elaysian replied respectfully, “Yes, we’ll improve it. This is a dragon-exclusive vehicle—the dragon carriage—designed with size in mind.”
The “dragon carriage” stood twenty meters tall with a diameter close to thirty meters. It was round and resembled a small mountain—suitable for dragons. But in truth, most dragons didn’t enjoy riding in these. Their large bodies made it feel cramped, and they preferred flying.
The interior of the vehicle was luxurious. The walls were inlaid with precious gemstones, and the floor was covered in a thick, soft carpet of unknown origin.
The space was extremely roomy—clearly built to accommodate giant dragons.
Bai Xiuxiu walked without hesitation to the innermost couch and sat down. The others stood respectfully behind her.
Elaysian stood by quietly, and the cabin fell silent.
Bai Xiuxiu broke the silence: “I heard something happened in Celestial Dragon City? What was that about?”
Elaysian responded, “It seemed to involve the Spaceborne Clan, but I don’t know the specifics. You can ask the young city lord.”
Despite its size, the dragon carriage moved swiftly. Only dragons could use the Dragon Road, and since there weren’t many, traffic was nonexistent.
Before long, the carriage stopped. The massive side door opened slowly. Before Bai Xiuxiu could exit, she heard Huang Yuanlang’s voice outside.
“Welcome back, dear sister.” As he spoke, he walked up with open arms toward Bai Xiuxiu.
Bai Xiuxiu frowned. “What are you doing?”
Huang Yuanlang laughed. “It’s a human custom—called a hug.”
She immediately showed a look of disgust. “What hug? Stay away from me. I don’t like that kind of etiquette. We’re noble dragons. Why are you always imitating humans?”
Huang Yuanlang had no choice but to drop his arms. A flicker of displeasure passed through his eyes, but he quickly regained composure. “Humans are a very unique species. Their bodies are among the most perfect across all races, highly suited for cultivation. It’s said that back when the Divine Realm existed, all gods took human form. Well then, let’s head down. I’ll show you around your residence.”
After stepping out of the dragon carriage, the sight before the group stunned them.
This wasn’t merely a residence—it was a fortress.
On both sides stood eight-meter-high walls. In front of them was a massive thirty-meter-wide metal gate made of intertwined metallic vines, adorned with intricate patterns.
The gate was already open, and ten Blue Sea clan members stood on either side, dressed as attendants.
Beyond the gate lay a wide pathway and a large fountain. The road curved on both sides, leading toward a castle-like building.
It was a sprawling complex of domed structures, covering four to five thousand square meters, with the tallest part exceeding forty meters.
The central dome was particularly unique—its roof was built with silvery-white metal and had a slit running through the center.
Huang Yuanlang beamed. “What do you think, dear sister? Do you like it? I had both gardens on the sides specially redone. This place was my coming-of-age gift from Father. See the main building? The roof can open up. If we fly back in dragon form, we can land directly inside—no need to walk in. When he gave it to me, my father said, if I ever became a Dragon Knight, I could fly home with my bonded dragon. All Dragon Knights’ homes are built this way.”
