Chapter 133 133: Lin Feng… You? Vice Dean?!
"Huo Wu, you better listen to me later and don't lose your temper."
"If you act out again, I'll tell Father to bring you home!"
Huo Wushuang frowned deeply, his expression stern as he spoke to Huo Wu with the authority of an older brother.
"Hmph! Who asked for your opinion! I know what I'm doing!"
Huo Wu immediately flushed red with anger and turned her head defiantly, arms akimbo.
Just as the two were bickering—
"Huo Wu, Huo Wushuang, stop arguing. We're already inside someone else's academy."
"Don't make us Blazing Academy a laughingstock."
The voice of their supervising teacher cut through their squabble.
"Pfft—whatever!"
Huo Wu stuck her tongue out at Huo Wushuang and hurried ahead.
"Ah…"
Huo Wushuang sighed and quickly followed behind.
And so, the ten-member group composed of the supervising teacher and the seven-person Blazing Battle Team walked deeper into Monster Academy.
As they followed the winding path, the quiet surroundings felt slightly oppressive, with only their footsteps echoing softly in the air.
Suddenly, a powerful surge of soul power burst out from ahead, drawing everyone's attention.
Not far off at the training grounds, a group of students was gathered around to watch a match between a young man and woman.
At the center were Lin Jian and Lin Shui.
Both exuded brilliant soul power—radiant like twin suns—so dazzling that onlookers had to squint. Lin Jian's soul power glowed deep blue, and his sword strikes were sharp and fierce, each swing cutting through the air with force.
Meanwhile, Lin Shui moved with graceful agility, her hands fluttering like butterflies, summoning arcs of silvery soul power with each motion, her figure dancing in and out of view.
"Is everyone in this academy this insanely strong?"
"Yeah, I'm starting to think we don't stand a chance in this tournament."
"Isn't that the point of this exchange program—to learn?"
"Honestly, watching this makes me want to stay at this academy instead."
The Blazing Battle Team exchanged glances, muttering in awe.
"Aren't all students here supposed to be under 25? How can anyone be this strong?"
Even Huo Wu couldn't help but exclaim softly, eyes wide with disbelief.
Just then, they overheard murmurs from the Monster Academy students nearby:
"What a shame. Lin Shui is already 24—she can't participate in this year's tournament."
One student shook their head with regret.
Hearing that, Huo Wu let out a small sigh of relief and thought to herself:
Good… If I were 24, I'd probably be able to reach that level too… barely.
"But so what? Lin Jian can still compete. And if things go south, we still have the Young Master and the others."
Another student chimed in.
"We're just here for an exchange, not to transfer into their academy," Huo Wushuang said calmly after hearing their conversation.
Huo Wu, standing nearby, said nothing, but her heart fluttered at the thought—
Joining Monster Academy?
This school… might really be stronger than Blazing Academy. Maybe it's a better fit for me.
Soon, the group arrived at a bright and spacious office.
The supervising teacher knocked on the door.
"Come in!"
A cheerful voice rang out from inside—it was Flender.
The group filed into the office.
Flender was standing before a large bookshelf arranging books. Upon seeing them enter, he turned around with a warm smile and quickly came forward to shake hands with the teacher, then greeted each of the students.
The room was uniquely decorated. A massive five-meter-wide campus map covered one wall, and Flender's desk was piled high with books, scrolls, and even glowing mysterious ores.
"Wow, so this is Monster Academy?"
"All these valuable things just lying around in the office?"
The Blazing Academy students were wide-eyed in amazement.
"These are treasures we've collected over the years to help our students in their learning and growth," Flender explained with a smile.
He then enthusiastically described Monster Academy's philosophy, course design, and unique training methods.
The students nodded in admiration throughout.
"The Dean said that once you arrived, I should bring you to him right away."
"Shall we go now?" Flender checked the time and asked.
"Thank you for your trouble, Teacher Flender."
The group followed Flender out of the office.
Before long, they arrived at the foot of a volcano.
Molten lava flowed down the slope, radiating waves of heat.
"This is… an active volcano?" Huo Wushuang asked in surprise.
"Not quite. It's a replica," Flender explained with a smile. "There are special mechanisms installed underneath to keep the lava flowing."
"It simulates the conditions of a real volcano very well."
"That's impressive. All the volcanoes we have at Blazing Academy are dormant," Huo Wu said. "Even the lava has to be manually refueled. Whoever designed this must be a genius. Is your dean training in there?"
"Hahaha, not so fast," Flender chuckled. "You'll see him in just a moment."
He turned toward the volcano and shouted loudly:
"Dean! Blazing Academy's delegation is here!"
Moments later, a figure slowly rose from the lava—it was Lin Feng.
Flames danced around his body, like a phoenix reborn from fire, his presence overwhelming.
"He… came out of the lava?!"
Everyone stared in shock, marveling at the scene before them.
"Vice Dean Lin Feng!" Flender called out respectfully.
Behind him, Huo Wu and Huo Wushuang froze at the words Vice Dean Lin Feng, their jaws nearly dropping.
They pushed forward through the crowd, trying to confirm it with their own eyes—
"You… How did you become the Vice Dean?!"
When Huo Wu saw Lin Feng clearly, she couldn't help but exclaim and point at him.
"Vice, just Vice," Lin Feng replied with a calm smile.
Huo Wu blushed slightly as memories of Lin Feng's earlier moments with her resurfaced in her mind. A hint of shyness rose in her heart.
He's already a dean now?
I once thought he might like me…
But someone this outstanding… am I even worthy of him?
"Hmm, five with innate soul power over Rank 7. Not bad talent," Lin Feng nodded after glancing at the Blazing Team.
He then instructed Flender to arrange accommodations and added:
"From now on, you'll be enrolled as transfer students. If you want to formally join, just let the teachers know."
The students looked at their supervising teacher, whose face had turned pale with frustration—they all understood the implications.
Huo Wushuang furrowed his brows, about to speak up.
But Huo Wu stepped forward and said firmly:
"We're from Blazing Academy. We won't be transferring."
She had made up her mind. She belonged to Blazing Academy—always had, always would.
