CHAPTER 236: SOUL SEA REALM

Five days later, in the morning, Lin Feng was sitting alone inside the chamber. He was about to break through to Soul Sea Realm.

A breakthrough to any major realm is considered an exteremly perilous step. Even a small mistake can be fatal, so Lian Zhi and Pei Lingxi left him alone for some time.

Lin Feng didn’t stop them by saying that it wouldn’t affect him. He just focused on his breakthrough.

He immediately absorbed a small amount of spirit qi needed to initiate the process and right away he felt a torrent of spirit qi surrounding him and beginning to enter his body.

In Core Formation Realm your core is formed and in Soul Sea Realm your soul sea is opened.

It is a dimension inside your head where your nascent soul is born at Nascent Soul Realm. So basically it is the foundation for the birth of your soul.

There are many things which become available to cultivators once the soul sea is born, but the main thing is spiritual qi.

Just like how blood qi is related to a cultivator’s body, spiritual qi is related to a cultivator’s soul. It is formed by the mixing of spirituality with spirit qi. Cultivators don’t have to actively convert spirit qi into spiritual qi. It happens by itself when they will to use it.

Spiritual qi is very important for soul-type attacks, spiritual sense, and refining weapons and treasures as their soul-bound weapons or treasures.

These are the type of weapons and treasures which can be stored directly inside your soul sea if they are completely refined by you. This is the best way to protect your favourite weapons which you don’t want to fall into the hands of your enemy after your death.

A single thought before your death would be enough to destroy everything inside your soul sea. You don’t have to be stronger than your weapon to do it.

The moment you are able to completely refine it, it becomes like a part of your soul and it will destroy itself on your thought without resistance.

Lin Feng closed his eyes and felt the development of his soul sea. The prickling sensation was getting painful but to him it was nothing.

After a few breaths the prickling sensation began to fade away. It meant that his soul sea was formed without any obstruction. He holded his body cultivation for time being.

He willed to enter inside his soul sea and when he opened his eyes he was floating above a sea that was so still that its surface acted like a mirror in which he could see himself clearly.

This sea extended endlessly in every direction. It is said that there is no way a living cultivator would be able to traverse this sea no matter what they do.

Lin Feng had a deeper view about it. According to the information he had about the soul sea, it is said that this is a dimension just like the Dream Realm. It is called the soul realm and everyone is just occupying a part of it and each and every soul sea of cultivators is connected to the very origin of the creation of life.

It’s quite a deep insight into the soul sea and it seems most mighty figures believe it to be true. Whatever, he shouldn’t be concerned about something so deep right now.

He willed and came back to himself. He was finally in the early stage of Soul Sea Realm. It was time to use his spiritual sense for the first time.

He willed and various images entered his mind and he could perceive everything around him. Pei Lingxi and Lian Zhi were standing just outside the chamber and feeling his spiritual sense they had become a little surprised.

He could see them clearly as if seeing with his eyes but he could easily discern who was who. Bai Lian was sitting in her chamber in lotus position and sensing his spiritual sense she seemed a little alert.

He increased the length of his spiritual sense and kept increasing it. Fifty metres, a hundred metres, two hundred metres and finally it stopped at five hundred metres.

He had expected this much. The average length of spiritual sense of a Soul Sea cultivator is a hundred metres but he was not one of them.

It would even increase further once he re-cultivated everything using chaos qi later.

He took a small breath and closed his spiritual sense as Pei Lingxi and Lian Zhi, who had recently broken through to late stage of Soul Sea Realm, were coming inside with Bai Lian who, after sensing his spiritual sense, came out of her chamber.

In terms of cultivation realm Pei Lingxi and Lian Zhi were the strongest cultivators amongst everyone here right now. He had even told them that if they wanted to go alone then they could go, but they refused.

"Congratulations brother Feng."

Pei Lingxi, Lian Zhi and Bai Lian congratulated him.

Pei Lingxi and Lian Zhi were surprised at first as he took very little time to complete his breakthrough to Soul Sea Realm, but remembering how everything about him was just unconventional, they didn’t think much about it.

Lin Feng nodded and smiled. "Let’s go."

Last time the senior came exactly at noon to open the core city so for the opening of the main ruin it shouldn’t be different. There was still little time left but they decided to go towards the mountain.

They all came out onto the street and it was totally empty. It was expected since they were on the outer side of this core city. Most if not all cultivators would have chosen residences near the centre where the mountain was located.
