Elder Kinston's Exclusive Sweet Wife
Chapter 108 - 109: To See or Not to See
CHAPTER 108: CHAPTER 109: TO SEE OR NOT TO SEE
Cecil Quinn’s face turned pale the moment he heard it, clearly showing his apprehension. Mabel Quinn took the opportunity to pull her brother out of the police station.
As soon as they were out, Mabel saw a familiar black car parked outside the station—it was Kyle Kinston’s car!
Kyle Kinston came to this police station too?
At that moment, she could almost feel a gaze watching her through the car’s glass window.
"Mabel, what’s wrong?" Cecil asked.
"It’s nothing," Mabel replied. "Brother, let’s head to the hospital first."
Cecil had no objections; he had been badly beaten and needed to get checked out at the hospital.
Mabel hailed a cab at the police station entrance, but before getting in, she couldn’t help but glance back at the car. Had Kyle Kinston been the one to pay the bail as the police mentioned? It seemed quite unlikely, considering how she had offended Kyle Kinston that day. Yet, if it were just a coincidence that his car was there, it was too much of a coincidence.
Meanwhile, inside the black car, Caleb glanced at Kyle Kinston in the backseat through the rearview mirror, puzzled. Since Elder Kinston came to the police station upon learning that Mabel Quinn was there late at night, and even instructed him to greet the officers and pay the bail, why didn’t he let himself be seen by Mabel?
"Elder Kinston, aren’t you going to say hello to Miss Quinn?" Caleb couldn’t help but ask.
"No need," Kyle Kinston replied coolly, though his gaze remained on the car window.
Caleb felt that his boss was like a sulking child, clearly caring about something but pretending not to.
Only after Mabel got into the cab and it drove off did Kyle Kinston slowly close his eyes, leaning back against the seat and closing his sharp eyes, "Back to the Corporation."
"Yes," Caleb responded, starting the car and leaving the police station.
Who would have thought that Elder Kinston would rush to the police station in the middle of the night just for Mabel Quinn?

Mabel accompanied Cecil to the hospital late at night, got an emergency visit, and it was early morning before everything was settled. Of course, she also reminded her brother several times not to do such things again.
"Alright, alright, I get it. I just happened to get mixed up with that woman, who knew she had a girlfriend!" Cecil said impatiently.
The next day, Mabel went to work with dark circles under her eyes, only to receive a call from her mother in the morning.
"What’s wrong with you? Getting yourself into trouble and causing your brother to get beaten up? Do you want to see him dead before you’re satisfied?!" Evelina scolded right away.
Mabel was startled, "Mom, what’s going on? Did Brother say something to you?"
"Did you think your brother wouldn’t say anything? You fought with others and even dragged your brother in to help. Now that he’s all bruised up, are you happy? I can’t believe I have a daughter like you who’s only good at ruining the family!" Evelina vented her anger.
Mabel suspected that her mother had seen her brother’s injuries and thus made up such an excuse. However, her mother’s attitude pained her, as she didn’t try to understand the situation before lashing out.
"Mom, if I tell you that things aren’t as Brother described, would you believe me?" Mabel asked.
