The editor-in-chief spoke, "Lilith, what’s going on here? Are you saying Mabel showed you this beginning before?"

"Yes, Mabel showed me this script draft half a month ago," Lilith replied, then lowered her voice, "But at the time, Mabel said this was her script draft." How did it now become a draft by Lyra Grant?

Everyone’s gaze turned to Mabel Quinn sitting next to Lilith, then looked over at Lyra Grant. Each had their own thoughts.

Lyra Grant hastily said, "Lilith, what are you talking about? I clearly wrote this draft. How did it become Mabel Quinn’s script? Could you have been mistaken?"

Usually, Lilith didn’t think much of Lyra Grant. Now, with Lyra saying this, she was displeased. She said, "My memory hasn’t degraded to the point where I can’t recall something I saw half a month ago. The draft Mabel showed me should be at least 95% similar to this beginning."

The editor-in-chief spoke, "Mabel, tell us, what’s going on with this script draft?"

Mabel Quinn stood up, unwavering, "This current 10-minute script draft does indeed resemble the script I wrote myself as practice in my spare time. Aside from some wording changes, everything else is the same."

"You’re lying!" Lyra Grant suddenly stood up, looking furious. "Mabel, we were classmates. How could you slander me like this? You took my draft and showed it to others, falsely claiming you wrote it, and now you’re even accusing me in front of everyone during a meeting. What is your goal?"

"I could say the same to you," Mabel Quinn retorted without backing down.

Cressida, who got along well with Lyra Grant, stood up to support her. "Mabel Quinn, Lyra is the original author and has published several novels. Why would she need your script? Aren’t you afraid of being exposed as a liar?"

"Just because her name is listed as the author, and she’s published a few novels, does that mean she couldn’t do something like this?" Mabel Quinn replied coldly. After all, Lyra had done something similar in the past, let alone now.

"You’re just accusing her falsely!" Cressida said.

Lyra Grant then put on a pitiful look, "Mabel, why are you doing this? Even if you’re not happy I became the team leader, feel your talent is overshadowed, you shouldn’t resort to this. And to involve Lilith too..." Lyra tried to redirect the motive to Mabel’s jealousy, making it seem Mabel did this out of envy, and managed to involve Lilith in the process.

However, Mabel Quinn dropped another bombshell, "I sent this script draft to Supervisor Foster as well, asking for feedback."

Immediately, Lavender Foster, who was sitting in the chair, felt a wave of embarrassment. Previously, she heard from Lilith that Mabel was writing a script as practice, so Lavender asked Mabel to send the draft to her email to take a look. But she got busy with other matters and forgot about it, not expecting today’s drama to unfold.

With the truth and falsehoods yet to be determined, Lavender was worried this incident might offend Lyra Grant, especially since Lyra’s father was a high-ranking executive at a major company.
