CHAPTER 369: CHAPTER 382: NEVER CELEBRATED A BIRTHDAY
Jasmine gave her son a curious look, "Why are you suddenly asking about this? It’s been so many years, who can remember? Did something happen between you and Grace?"
Daniel Harris pursed his lips and didn’t respond directly to his mother’s question. Instead, he asked, "When I went to the room to talk and say goodbye to ’Grace’, was there anyone else in the room?"
"There wasn’t anyone else. You said you wanted to say goodbye properly to Grace, so her parents and I all left the room to let you two have a private farewell," Jasmine recalled.
So, the person who could hear the last things he said was the one who was truly with him?
But if Mabel Quinn did lie, why would she do so? Was it really just for some ulterior motive? Did she want some benefit? His rational mind told him to trust Grace Yowell, but he couldn’t help wanting to believe Mabel Quinn instead.
"What exactly happened?" Jasmine asked with concern.
Daniel Harris lowered his eyes gently, "Nothing, maybe I’m just overthinking it."

In the evening, when Mabel Quinn got off work and the driver came to pick her up, she asked him to stop briefly at a cake shop. Inside, she told the clerk, "I’d like to order a ’Colorful Memories’ cake, 10 inches."
"Okay, is it for a birthday cake?" the clerk asked.
"Yes," Mabel nodded.
"Alright, please fill out the order form." The clerk handed an order form and a pen to Mabel.
Mabel looked down as she filled out the birthday date, the size of the cake, and some basic customer information. After completing it, she handed it to the clerk and saw Francine Howards walk into the shop.
Mabel was stunned, not expecting to meet Francine there. Francine was similarly surprised.
Smiling, Francine walked up and greeted her, "Didn’t expect to see you here, are you buying a cake too?"
"Just ordering a cake," Mabel replied.
"Ordering?" Francine mused.
At that moment, the clerk said, "That’ll be 1280 yuan. Would you like the cake delivered or will you pick it up yourself?"
"I’ll pick it up myself," Mabel said.
"Okay, then you may pick up the cake anytime after 10 a.m. on the 20th of this month. We’ll prepare birthday candles with the age you specified," the clerk said.
Mabel paid and was about to leave when Francine suddenly said, "Are you ordering a birthday cake for Kyle?"
"Yes," Mabel said.
Francine suddenly laughed, "Then it seems your cake will be wasted."
Mabel paused and looked at Francine, "What do you mean by that?"
"Don’t you know? Kyle never celebrates his birthday," Francine whispered in Mabel’s ear, "You’re Kyle’s girlfriend, and you don’t even know that?"
Mabel was completely taken aback, having never thought that Kyle never celebrates his birthday.
Francine sighed lightly, "You know nothing about Kyle yet claim you love him, don’t you find that absurd?"
Mabel took a deep breath and looked at her, "Maybe I don’t know Kyle as well as you do, but I’ve never thought that means I don’t love him enough. But I still want to thank you for telling me this."
