Elder Kinston's Exclusive Sweet Wife
Chapter 51: Sending Ginger Tea
CHAPTER 51: CHAPTER 51: SENDING GINGER TEA
"No need to trouble yourself that much," Kyle Kinston said.
Caleb sighed in relief, but then the next words from Kyle almost made him stumble.
"Then buy one of each of this similar batch here," Kyle instructed, then walked directly toward the Cashier Counter with the packet of Black Sugar Ginger Tea in hand.
Caleb could only make a wry face as he picked up one of each similar product from the shelf. He truly didn’t understand why his boss suddenly became interested in these products.
A strikingly handsome man holding a packet of ginger tea, followed by someone carrying an armful of ginger, brown sugar, and black sugar was naturally eye-catching. In the supermarket, many girls couldn’t help but glance their way, some even boldly recording with their phones.
Caleb only regretted not wearing a hat; it would have at least provided some cover for his face.
Kyle, on the other hand, acted as if everything was completely normal.
After paying and leaving the supermarket, Kyle said to Caleb, "Once you get back to the mansion, hand these over to Mabel Quinn."
It was then that Caleb realized all these things were bought by Elder Kinston for Mabel Quinn.
So, half an hour later, in the Kinston mansion, Mabel Quinn and Caleb were staring at each other, wide-eyed and speechless.
After a long while, Mabel finally spoke, "These are from Mr. K...uh, the President wants you to give me?"
"Yes," Caleb replied with a laugh, "the President personally went to the supermarket to buy these."
Mabel almost choked on her saliva.
While having dinner, Mabel looked at Kyle, who was eating, and said, "Thank you for buying me all those ginger teas...there are so many kinds."
"I didn’t know which was good, so I bought one of each. If you need more, you can ask a servant to buy more."
"That’s enough, more than enough," Mabel quickly said, thinking that with what Caleb had already given her, even if she drank it daily, it’d take at least half a year to finish.
"Does your stomach still hurt today?" he asked.
"Much better already. I usually only feel pain on the first day, then it’s nothing much," she quickly explained. After explaining, she realized she was speaking about such things to a man she wasn’t even that familiar with. How thick-skinned was she?
Thinking of this, Mabel quickly lowered her head, busily shoveling food to cover her embarrassment at the moment.
Unfortunately, in the next moment, she almost spit out her food.
"When your stomach hurts, do you like holding someone’s hand against your tummy?" Kyle’s calm voice sounded.
Mabel was stupefied. Could it be that after she fell asleep yesterday... "Did I hold your hand?" she asked in a stammer.
"Yes."
"And then placed your hand on my stomach?"
"Mm-hmm."
Mabel was utterly speechless with herself; she did something like that after falling asleep yesterday? Heavens, if she’d known this would happen, she would have forced herself to stay awake until he left the room!
"I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to. I promise it won’t happen again!" she said.
His phoenix eyes suddenly lifted, staring intently at her. "What if I say I don’t mind?"
What?
She stared at him blankly, her mind somewhat blank.
"However, Mabel, I’m used to always being a Controller, not someone who is controlled, so just because I don’t mind does not mean I am willing to be controlled, understand?" he said with his elegant and mildly indifferent tone.
