CHAPTER 80: CHAPTER 80 EATING COOKIES

Mabel Quinn was lost in her chaotic thoughts, and then she subconsciously picked up a jar of cookies she had left on the coffee table and started eating. It wasn’t until she had eaten quite a few that she realized Kyle Kinston was watching her.

Her mind instantly went blank, and before she could process the situation, her body had already reacted. Her hand had offered the jar of cookies to him.

He glanced at the jar of cookies and then looked at her.

She felt embarrassed, reflecting on why she had made such a move instinctively, so she awkwardly said, "Do you want some?"

Of course, she didn’t really expect Kyle to eat her little cookies, after all, such snacks seemed quite insignificant in front of him. But who would have thought, Kyle asked, "Do you like these small cookies?"

"They’re pretty good for quelling hunger."

He noticed her lips still had some cookie crumbs on them, and suddenly, with interest, he picked up a cookie from the small jar.

She was dumbfounded, "You’re really going to eat it?"

"Did you just offer me the cookies without meaning it?" he asked in return.

Even though what he said was true, she couldn’t just admit it like that! "Of course not, it’s just..." she hesitated and said, "These cookies, I made them myself. They might not taste as good as the ones sold in stores." She reminded him, considering that the things he usually ate were probably high-end, even the cookies.

And the handmade cookies she made were just the ones she learned a bit from the cake shop master, only passable for her own consumption.

She didn’t expect that Kyle actually ate her cookies. His handsome face didn’t reveal much, but he ate one cookie after another, quite a few of them.

So, just like that, the two of them ate cookies while watching TV. Of course, Mabel’s mind was not focused on the TV at all.

As the TV show was about to end, Kyle said, "Don’t arrange anything for tomorrow night, come to my room by 7 pm."

She stared at him wide-eyed, no way, go to his room at night? "But... but I already have dinner plans with Katie tomorrow."

"Then reschedule, or move the dinner time earlier," he said, standing and leaving her room. As he passed through the hallway, he suddenly stopped, looking up at the full moon hanging in the sky outside the window.

Tomorrow would be the Full Moon. This Full Moon would be just like the last one, right?

And from now on, every Full Moon night, he would be with her, with fate as the rope, binding two originally unrelated people tightly together.

Mabel didn’t sleep well all night, always wondering why Kyle asked her to his room at night. Surely, it wasn’t to bond with her.

The next day was Saturday, so she could catch up on some sleep. In the afternoon, she went to the place where she and Katie had agreed to meet. Though Mabel herself didn’t really want to report to Kyle’s room before 7 pm, knowing Kyle’s personality, if she really didn’t go, it wouldn’t end well for her, so she could only wait and see how things went.

So, in the morning, she contacted Katie, saying she had some business to attend to in the evening, and asked if they could move up their dinner time. Katie agreed immediately, so they chose a steakhouse to meet.
