CHAPTER 765: THE MAIN BODY ARRIVES

--

Cedric let the time pass as the rest made their own preparations.

Of course, his clone was still continuing the work on the Rising Sun Domain while he was still here. He could remotely instruct the clone just fine even while he was awake; that has never been the issue.

While the others continued making their preparations, Cedric decided to take his wives on a trip all over the realm. The last time he took them out on a date was more than a decade ago, and he figured that this was just what they needed to rekindle the flames of their marriage.

Not that it has gotten cold. His wives have always been devoted to him, and he to them, but his long periods of seclusion inevitably affect their warmth, so he had to at least do something.

In truth, it’s not so much about the trip, as his wives have visited pretty much the entire realm on their own already. It’s the thought that counts.

As for his sons, well, they’re busy making their own preparations for the move. And even without that, they have their own lives now; they’ve got their own families to take care of, and Cedric doesn’t have to coddle them anymore. They’ve grown up the way he wanted them to.

And so, his adventures with his wives went on as peacefully and as lovingly as they could, all while their allies prepared themselves for the upcoming event.

As they moved around, Cedric paid attention to the state and appearance of the worlds around them.

He thought that in the near future, things wouldn’t be the same again. Everything he’s seeing so far will change eventually. That’s something he’d have to make peace with as he proceeds with the plan.

During one of their idle days, Cedric rested and had a conversation with the Void Slave.

The Void Slave was the consciousness of the Void Barrier that Odin left behind to isolate this realm from the harmful environment of the Forbidden Zone.

"...I see, so he’s dead."

The Void Slave sounded thoughtful upon learning the ultimate fate of Odin. Cedric didn’t filter his words; he broke down the news to it in a straightforward manner, thinking that it’s what the Void Slave deserved after so long.

A clean conclusion and closure.

"Pardon me, Sir. I just...I just thought that I’d feel more...I don’t know, sad, maybe, about this? But in truth, I’m not."

"I suppose what I’ve really been waiting for, all this time, was the conclusion. I already had a feeling that he’s dead. I was just holding on just in case."

"But then you came and conquered me, and you went out. Past that point, whatever my previous master’s faith was, was no longer any of my concern. My continued existence is to serve you."

That’s what the Void Slave said. Cedric couldn’t hear any traces of dishonesty in its voice or intent, which was expected since it’s been enslaved by him in the first place. It couldn’t have lied even if it wanted to.

Maybe if Cedric were to remove the slave seal, he might hear its real thoughts, but there’s absolutely no reason to do that. Because even if it remained loyal to Odin, what then? Odin’s dead. What use would its loyalty have?

It’d be more useful for the living, for Cedric and his cause. So there’s no reason to release it from the seal.

Time passed by, and eventually, the day came.

Standing beside Cedric were his wives and his children. The other chancellors aren’t here, but that’s fine; he doesn’t need their presence to do what he has to do.

"It’s time," he declared.

And despite being warned, his wives and children still felt nervous. Not Cedric, though.

"It’s going to be fine, trust me. I won’t risk your lives. I know what I’m doing."

After he said that, Cedric’s presence swelled in their perception. It grew so large that none of them were able to estimate just how huge it was. It’s like they’re in the presence of a real primordial being, one that exists way beyond anything they could comprehend.

But as fast as his presence grew, that was also how fast it escaped and disappeared from their senses.

They only felt Cedric unleashing a mere hint of his presence as a Universe Master before they were unable to feel him anymore. He even disappeared in front of their eyes without any warnings.

"The realm is inside my inner world now." Cedric’s voice floated in their ears as if he were speaking directly to their minds. "I’m now making my way out of the forbidden zone. Just sit tight and wait for my news."

Yes, this was how he planned on taking them out of the Forbidden Zone. It starts by taking them inside his inner world to make it easier for him to carry them.

Technically, all he needed to do was to swallow the Void Slave. After all, it’s the Void Slave that contained the whole Primeval Scarlet Dust Realm.

As a Universe Master, Cedric can swallow and refine an entire universe for his own use. Of course, he wouldn’t refine his home, but he can certainly swallow it and spit it back out once he arrives at their destination.

Cedric’s main body appeared in the forbidden zone, existing in place of the whole realm he just swallowed.

His activity did nothing to disturb the bleak and dull silence of the zone’s interior; even the lifeforms nearby had no clue of what happened.

Cedric didn’t stay around for long. He was very decisive when he made a move. As soon as he swallowed the Void Barrier, he began flying towards the Null Zone.

He kept his presence low as he flew, and he’s also inspecting the state of the realm within his Inner World as he does so. He kept a thread of his consciousness attached to the Void Slave, constantly checking its state and making sure that his people and the realm within it were safe.

To which, they are. The Void Slave had nothing but praise and awe at the sight of Cedric’s Inner World. It already repeatedly told him how the atmosphere in his inner world was already way better compared to where it was previously.

Cedric was also connected to his family. He’s also checking up on them as his main body moved. They assured him that everything was fine so far, and they couldn’t even feel the difference.

Upon arriving at the Null Zone, Cedric wasted no time and used his privilege as the architect’s inheritor to skip the nightmare labyrinth, being transferred straight into the intact portal out of this zone.

Before long, Cedric was already riding out the tunnel leading out to the Primitive Universe, and after a few hours, he made it outside.

Finally, after so long, his main body finally arrived in the Primitive Universe for the first time.

But he didn’t relax right away.

He looked around for a bit and saw a ship nearby. He recognized that ship, and he flew towards it.

The crew flying the ship saw him. And without any words exchanged, they let him in. Cedric boarded the ship, and it immediately took flight. Its destination was, of course, the Rising Sun Domain.

This ship was sent by his clone. It was done through the private channel of the Golden Bangle Bank. This crew serves VIPs incognito. They don’t ask questions and won’t even ask for identification. So long as they know the appearance of the people they’re supposed to pick up and receive the appropriate amount of payment, they will happily offer a ride.

Cedric was their only passenger. Nobody from the crew spoke to him. If he wanted to communicate, he could send a message via the AI installed on the ship. In fact, it’s very normal for the crew not to say a word to him; hell, they won’t even show their faces to him if it’s not necessary.

This is the way it is in this service. And Cedric was more than happy to comply.

It took about a week and a half before they arrived at their destination. When they got there, the doors opened for Cedric as he made his way out.

From start to finish, Cedric never shared a word with any of the crew. The same went even as he left the ship. As soon as he got out, the ship’s doors closed behind him, and it immediately left.

They already received their payment, and their service was no longer required; they didn’t need to resupply, so they had no reason to stay, so they left immediately. They’re most likely heading to another client.

Cedric couldn’t care less about them. What matters to him is that he finally arrived.

He approached the realm and saw his clone standing out there to welcome his arrival, flanked by his bodyguards, Quinella and Wilfred.

The clone led him in, and once inside, Cedric couldn’t help but let out a huge sigh of relief.

"Good job, big man. You’re here, you’re safe."

Cedric was technically controlling his clone to say this to him, which kind of defeats the purpose, but it’s what he wanted to hear anyway.

He did find Quinella and Wilfred’s reaction funny, though, once he removed his disguise.
