Endless World: The Rise of Leonard Lawson
Chapter 66: Enchanted Oasis
CHAPTER 66: ENCHANTED OASIS
When Leonard showed a small stain on his pants, the nonchalant crowd suddenly became interested and intrigued. They didn’t expect the situation to change into something new.
The uniformed men frowned upon seeing the small stain on Leonard’s pants.
As much as they wanted to disregard him, they spotted Jeffrey from the side.
Jeffrey was a city guard, and for him to be willing to become a tour guide for the person in front of them, it didn’t take a genius to know that their identity wasn’t simple.
"Apologies for the trouble, Sir." One of them placed their hand beside their chest and apologized.
"We will compensate you right after we bring this whore away." He continued, clearly wanting to bring away the woman.
"Hah, do I look like a joke to you?" Leonard suddenly laughed coldly and snapped his fingers.
As if on cue, Mirelle, who had long been itching her hands, began to act upon the signal. In one smooth action, she released her mana and propelled the uniformed men away.
She then extended her hand to cast a rope made of mana at the woman and brought her over to their side. She also made sure to keep the woman tied up with the rope to depict that she was a prisoner of theirs.
Claudia witnessed the whole interaction in silence.
’What is this Crown Prince thinking?’ She wondered silently. Based on her beliefs, she found it difficult to understand why Leonard was attempting to step into muddy water and get himself involved in something unrelated to his objective.
Meanwhile, Jeffrey scratched his head in an exasperated manner. A simple tour guide had now turned into something problematic.
The pleasure house where the woman rushed out from was called Enchanted Oasis. Its name implied that every customer who entered their pleasure house would be enchanted, almost in a state of euphoria, when encountering the oasis in the vast desert.
’Enchanted Oasis is backed by multiple influential people. I’m screwed this time.’ Jeffrey frowned and somewhat regretted being a tour guide.
Thankfully, the gold medal of the Merchant Guild from Leonard reassured him that everything was still alright.
At the very least, he now realized the reason for Leonard’s intervention. It wasn’t out of righteousness or some ridiculous good moral personality, but rather his pants were stained by the whore.
Now, such action was aligned and in accordance with Leonard’s status.
How could a whore possibly invoke a certified merchant to intervene to save them?
"Sir, this whore is requested by a certified merchant of the Merchant Guild. Our Enchanted Oasis is willing to compensate for the damages caused by the whore." They said, hoping that Leonard could drop the issue.
"Ah, a certified merchant, you say? What’s their medal rank?" Leonard snorted.
There were only a handful of merchants who held the platinum badge of the Merchant Guild in Velastra.
The possibility of the so-called certified merchant being higher ranked than him was abysmally low.
And reality proved him correct when the uniformed men explained, "The certified merchant held a silver medal."
Upon learning that the opposing person was a silver medal holder, Jeffrey’s expression instantly relaxed.
’Phew, it’s a rank below Sir Vincent.’ He no longer held any worries that the incident might escalate. After all, it was now between two certified merchants, and merchants have their own method to resolve issues.
"Sir Vincent is a gold medal certified merchant." Jeffrey stepped forward and said calmly.
Soon, the two uniformed men felt like crap. Their faces turned pale, and they swiftly knelt on one knee.
"We apologize, Sir Vincent." They apologized sincerely and realized the situation had escalated beyond their scope of ability.
One of them hurriedly urged their companion to bring their manager over to soothe things over.
...
Enchanted Oasis
Inside the Enchanted Oasis, the atmosphere was filled with lovely perfumes, sweet music, and joyous laughter. Men held women around their arms, and women fed the men with fresh fruits.
If a single word must be used to describe the place, it would be heavenly.
"Haha, I wonder when the next batch of women will be in auction."
"Didn’t you just win a woman earlier?"
"Yes, and so what? Can’t I enjoy a threesome?"
As the conversation filled the interior, the manager, otherwise known as Darren, smiled in bliss.
’My commission is reaching max again.’ Darren enjoyed his salary, but more importantly, he got to enjoy these women for free with his position. Naturally, the women he got to enjoy were low-class whores, but still, a hole was a hole.
Just when he thought things couldn’t be any smoother, a loud voice suddenly caused his expression to darken.
"Bad news, Manager Darren! Bad news!"
"Are you crazy?" Darren suppressed his anger and glared fiercely at the man. He swiftly pacified the crowd that everything was alright before dragging the man to a discreet corner.
Shortly after dragging him, Darren questioned, "Do you want to lose your job? Don’t you know it’s a big taboo to shout bad news in a pleasure house? This isn’t your first day, Owen."
The uniformed man known as Owen smiled bitterly as he lowered his head. "I’m sorry, Manager Darren, but there’s really a big problem outside."
"What kind of big problem could there be? Our Enchanted Oasis is backed by the Merchant Guild." Darren hissed.
"The problem is precisely about a Gold Medal Merchant from the guild."
THUD!
Darren nearly stumbled and lost his balance when Owen suddenly revealed the identity of the problem. His complexion turned ugly, and he nearly raised his fist to punch Owen in the face.
"Haven’t I told you to always treat the merchants belonging to the guild with utmost courtesy? Just by being related to the guild meant their influence and wealth were no laughing matter." Darren was frustrated. "Hurry up and relay the entire event to me."
"Yes, Manager Darren."
In the blink of an eye, Darren’s eyes narrowed coldly when their pleasure house landed in a major crisis because of a lowly whore.
A lowly whore managed to provoke two separate certified merchants, and the one to bear the brunt was their Enchanted Oasis.
"That whore, Meagan... I knew it was too good to be true to have bought a virgin beauty like her for such a cheap price." Darren truly regretted completing this particular transaction with Meagan’s father.
