CHAPTER 894: ENCOUNTERED STORM ROCS AND IMMORTAL GRASS

Others fought hard and only a few of them were lucky enough to obtain treasures. After enduring such hardships and sustaining so many wounds, they had nearly lost their lives, and yet, not everyone was fortunate enough to get what they desired.

Meanwhile, the situation within Shenlian Yingyue’s group was completely different.

"This is what it means to work smart. We don’t always have to play fair. What matters is knowing our own strengths, knowing when to charge forward and when to retreat," she said while playfully tugging on Xiao Yun’s nose. She didn’t forget to ruffle Xiao Nian’s soft hair, laughing cheerfully.

Seeing her return to her lively self, everyone burst into cheerful laughter with her. When her eyes landed on Xiao Nian, she couldn’t help but think of Xiang Ju, Xing Juan, De Lun, and Mo Da.

How were they doing now on the Spiritual Continent? Were they still cultivating within the Luminous Moon Palace? How was her faction faring over there?

She had never once visited them. But the resources she had left behind and the paths she had paved should have been enough to allow them to live well on the Yellow Planet, so long as they worked hard.

"Bu Si Shu, how long are you planning to hide?" Shenlian Yingyue suddenly glanced in a certain direction.

Bu Si Shu disliked being reminded of his age, so he preferred everyone to call him by his name instead of using "senior."

"Master, since he likes to pretend to be a ghost, why should we care about him?" Hong Zuan hissed, flicking out his snake tongue.

"Right, if he’s not going to help us, he better not show up when we find something valuable later," Tian Tian said while playing with his hair, his tone full of annoyance.

Shenlian Yingyue’s lips twitched. She had recently come to realize that, among all her companions, Hong Zuan and Tian Tian were the ones who were the most hostile toward Bu Si Shu.

The others didn’t particularly like him either, but these two outright disliked him to an extreme degree. She didn’t know the reason. When she asked them, they simply pretended not to understand the question.

"I want to eat snake soup and wolf meat. Maybe I should cook both of you to nourish my strength," Bu Si Shu suddenly appeared in front of everyone, barefoot as he floated in the air.

"As a tree, you should just remain a tree. What’s the point of eating?" Hong Zuan glanced at him, his tone dripping with contempt.

"Don’t think you can bully us just because you’re stronger. One day, we’ll surpass you," Tian Tian growled, his fangs elongating as his face took on a fierce expression.

"You think your measly strength will surpass me? Keep dreaming." Bu Si Shu raised his eyebrows, amused by their bravado.

"Master, he’s bullying us," Tian Tian suddenly rushed into Shenlian Yingyue’s arms. At the same time, Hong Zuan coiled around her neck, rubbing his cheek against hers with a pitiful look on his face.

Everyone’s lips twitched. This coquettish side of Tian Tian and Hong Zuan was something they had never witnessed before.

"Bu Si Shu, how old are you? And yet you still hold a grudge against the younger generation like us?" Shenlian Yingyue scolded gently, standing firmly on the side of her "babies." If they were in the wrong, she would correct them later, but right now, she was on their side.

"Human, you’re so biased." Bu Si Shu’s face twitched, and three black lines formed on his forehead. His voice was laced with disapproval. "You spoil them without knowing the full story. Aren’t you afraid that your indulgence will lead them down the wrong path?"

"If I’m not supposed to spoil them, should I spoil you instead?" she asked flatly, expression unreadable.

Bu Si Shu: "..."

"Pfft!" Seeing Bu Si Shu rendered speechless, everyone couldn’t hold back their laughter.

"Humph! I knew it. I shouldn’t have come back. There’s no place for me here." Bu Si Shu glared at everyone.

Shenlian Yingyue rolled her eyes and didn’t bother paying attention to him. She was now focused on collecting as much as she could. The space inside the Ethereal Small World was incredibly vast, so much so that even if she placed an entire advanced planet inside it, the space wouldn’t feel cramped.

The more she advanced, the more the land inside the Ethereal Small World expanded. This was something she had only discovered yesterday. Due to her busy schedule juggling cultivation and study, she hadn’t had time to manage the space properly.

Xiao Yun and the others were the ones who helped her oversee and organize everything inside.

"Master, how about we pull the entire field of Immortal Grass?" Huan Huan’s eyes sparkled with excitement. His sharp, handsome features were lit with enthusiasm, radiating the aura of an untamed spirit.

"Huan Huan, you’re too reckless and impulsive. Shouldn’t you check for danger before jumping into action?" Feng Huang sighed, clearly having a headache because of him. His stunning and strikingly beautiful face was brimming with concern and exasperation.

"Look!" Xiao Mei’s delicate face was suddenly filled with horror as he pointed at something in the distance.

To be honest, he was more than a little frightened by the strange creatures in the Immortal Realm. He had just recently stepped foot here, how could he not feel intimidated?

These creatures were towering, each as tall as a tree and as swift as lightning. Their feathers were sand-scarred and colored like storm clouds, while their massive wings could blot out the sun. Their piercing yellow eyes crackled with latent lightning, and their talons looked as if they had been forged in the fires of the desert, blackened and deadly.

"These are Storm Rocs!" Wang Pei Zhi exclaimed. Being someone who spent most of his time reading and doing research, he immediately recognized the terrifying creatures.

Everyone instinctively prepared for battle.

The Storm Rocs were formidable. With a single shriek, they could summon whirlwinds. They hurled lightning from their wings and vanished into sandstorms like phantoms. Their razor-sharp beaks were capable of crushing bone, and their mere presence stirred the desert dunes into a violent frenzy.

Unbeknownst to the group, they had entered the territory of the Storm Rocs. There were now one hundred of them, and each was as powerful as a True Immortal.

Although their individual strength was not overwhelmingly high, they possessed an absolute advantage in combat thanks to their incredible speed, which was as swift as lightning. They never allowed their enemies the time to breathe or react, striking immediately with ferocity and precision.

Their vanishing ability was unparalleled. They could disappear into the air or vanish from the ground without warning.

"Everyone, prepare for battle." Shenlian Yingyue commanded.

Needless to say, even without her explicit instruction, everyone, except for Xiao Yun, Zhiyi, Shenlian Yinzhu, Jun Mu Yang, Shenlian Sheshan, Xiong Zi Ying, Lu Long, Xiao Qiu, and Bu Si Shu, had already charged into the fray.

The battle could only be described as spectacular. Initially, it was extremely difficult for anyone to land a hit on the Storm Rocs with their spells. The Storm Rocs leveraged their speed and vanishing skills, darting through the sky like shadows and striking with devastating precision.

However, it wasn’t long before the tide of the battle began to shift. Though the Storm Rocs were fast and elusive, they couldn’t overpower the powerful and unique skills unleashed by the group when they worked together in harmony. Each attack was coordinated, each move executed with perfect timing. The unity and synchronization among the group compensated for the overwhelming speed of the enemy.

Slowly but surely, they adapted to the Storm Rocs’ movements. Their spells grew sharper, more accurate, and more deadly.

The storm of battle intensified, echoing through the desert and sky with a fury that rivaled nature itself.
