CHAPTER 900: THE PENG CLAN, YOU’RE DOOMED!

"How dare you even think of using A’Lei as a tool to satisfy your filthy desires?" Shen Xian’s smile twisted into something more terrifying than a demon crawling out from the depths of hell. His fingers tightened around Peng Ruining’s throat, and the murderous intent in his eyes surged with increasing ferocity.

"!!!!" Peng Ruining never expected he had provoked someone he absolutely shouldn’t. Now, he couldn’t speak, couldn’t move. All he could do was watch in horror as his reckless actions threatened to bring about the destruction of his entire Storm Roc race.

The Storm Rocs, caught in the aftermath, could only helplessly watch. Their king, once their pride and shield, was powerless. He couldn’t save them, nor could he even beg for mercy. In desperation, he tried to speak to Shen Xian through divine sense, only to discover that even that was blocked.

"Trying to bargain? Hoping I’ll kill only you and spare your clan?" Shen Xian sneered. "You still have the audacity to plead for their lives?"

He laughed, cold, cruel, and devoid of mercy.

Jingling Xiuli and Qilin Yu had no intention of intervening for Peng Ruining’s sake, but they couldn’t allow the situation to spiral out of control. They were the guardians of balance in the Forgotten Domain, a vast region within the Immortal Realm where only the strong ruled. And now, two mysterious, powerful groups had arrived out of nowhere, seeking Immortal Grasses. One man alone, Shen Xian, was enough to threaten the very existence of a top-tier clan.

They couldn’t allow such a force to exist unchecked.

The Peng Clan, part of the Storm Roc race, was not the most dominant, but it ranked among the top five powers that governed the Forgotten Domain. If the Peng Clan were to fall today, the balance of power would shift, triggering chaos.

Jingling Xiuli and Qilin Yu frowned. They quickly summoned their spiritual power to break through the invisible pressure Shen Xian had placed upon them.

"Bang!!" Because Shen Xian’s full attention was on Peng Ruining, the force he exerted on others had lightened. Taking advantage of this, the two successfully broke free.

"Your Eminence, please restrain your anger," Jingling Xiuli said, cupping his hands and bowing deeply. "The Storm Roc King acted without wisdom. He offended you, and for that, he is clearly in the wrong. However, I believe there was no malice in his intent toward you or your companions." His words were careful and respectful. He had already begun treating Shen Xian as someone of unimaginable status, far above anyone else present.

If the Peng Clan were destroyed, the Forgotten Domain would lose one of its major stabilizing forces. Rumors would spread; ambitious Immortal beings from beyond the domain would see this as an opportunity to seize control. The consequences would be disastrous.

"And who are you to speak to me? Do you think you’re worthy?" Shen Xian’s voice was icy as his fury deepened. He had been moments from ending Peng Ruining’s life when these interruptions came. They only served to irritate him further.

"Your Eminence," Qilin Yu added, his voice calm yet firm despite the pressure crushing down on him. "Even if you destroy him, it will bring you no benefit. But if you spare him, not only will you get the Immortal Grasses, you can even command him. The Peng Clan is powerful. He could serve you in the future. However, if you annihilate the entire clan, every force in the Forgotten Domain will be on high alert. I doubt they will welcome that outcome."

Despite the suffocating atmosphere, neither Jingling Xiuli nor Qilin Yu flinched. They feared Shen Xian’s power, but retreating now would doom them all. They had to persuade him to stand down, before it was too late.

"A weak force like this? You think they’re worthy of serving me?" Shen Xian scoffed, his voice laced with contempt. "And even if the entire Forgotten Domain turned against me, should I care?"

His nonchalance made them pause.

"So what if all the powers of the Immortal Realm gathered here?" he continued, his tone filled with unshakable confidence. Who was him? The Demon Emperor, the one who made the Nine Realms tremble.

The weight of those words stunned everyone. Peng Ruining, Jingling Xiuli, and Qilin Yu froze. Normally, if anyone else had spoken with such arrogance, they would have dismissed them as delusional. But Shen Xian wasn’t boasting blindly.

His actions spoke louder than words.

As if to prove his power, several terrifying auras suddenly emerged; elders and ancestors of the Peng Clan, awakened from their secluded cultivation by the chaos.

They had sensed their king’s life teetering on the brink and rushed to his defense, expecting a battle against invaders from rival domains. They never expected to find one man holding their entire clan hostage.

But as soon as they approached, Shen Xian suppressed them with effortless ease. They couldn’t even move freely, let alone resist.

They wanted to fight, to protect their king, but their strength meant nothing before him. Their attacks were nullified; their defenses broken. Shen Xian allowed them to survive, not out of mercy, but so he could destroy all hope before crushing them completely.

"Since you’re all here, you can die together." Shen Xian said coldly. His words sent chills through every bone in their bodies.

Despair swallowed the Peng Clan like a black tide. They saw no path to salvation. Death was no longer a question of if, but when.

Peng Ruining, the cause of it all, shut his eyes in regret. He wanted to die, to offer his life in exchange for his people’s survival. But Shen Xian would not give him that dignity. He wouldn’t allow him to die with peace.

No, his punishment was far worse.

Shen Xian’s form of vengeance was cruel and precise; he would force his enemies to die with regret, guilt, shame, anger, and helplessness churning within their souls. That was the price of provoking him.

And not a single person stepped in to defend the Peng Clan.

Not Tai Hua Lei, because he knew that if he had been powerless, Peng Ruining would have stripped him of everything.

Yao and Yasha stood silent and still, like statues in the background. They only listened to Shen Xian’s command, and nothing more.

Even Di Xiuyu didn’t dare speak. To her, Peng Ruining was nothing more than a minor target in her mission. If he died, so be it. It would make obtaining the Immortal Grasses even easier.

Shenlian Yingyue and her companions looked on impassively, as if none of this had anything to do with them.

And so, would the Peng Clan truly be annihilated here today?

Would no one stand up to save them? Was this truly, the end?
