CHAPTER 108: MANA POTIONS

"Newland, you are misunderstanding me, I’m not trying to be courteous with you or anything! And naturally, I treat you as a family member of mine!"

Upon speaking up to here, Alan placed the rectangular case back on the table, then right after, he raised his right hand right in front of Newland Krex, and in the next moment, a small triangular bottle that had dark blue liquid contained within it appeared on the palm of his right hand.

"Look, you should know what this is right, Newland? Now, do you believe that I was telling the truth when I told you that I wasn’t being courteous with you?"

Right when Newland Krex saw the super mana potion suddenly appeared out of nowhere and onto Alan’s right palm, Newland Krex’s eyes immediately opened wide as he looked back and forth between the super mana potion and Alan’s face.

Within the private room, because Sharon had already seen Alan used his "spatial ability skill" before back then at her dormitory room, Sharon didn’t feel too surprised when she saw Alan used his "spatial ability skill" once again. However, when she looked closely at what actually appeared on Alan’s right palm, her eyes immediately opened wide with shock.

Meanwhile, looking at Yura and Yeon’s reactions, it was evident that Yura was feeling just as shocked as Sharon was feeling right now, and as for Yeon, although he had a surprised look on his face, it was evident he wasn’t as surprised as Sharon, Yura, and Newland Krex were feeling currently.

And that was mainly due to Yeon not having a great understanding regarding super mana potions, spatial items, and spatial ability skills.

Potions were classified into 3 main categories, lesser mana potion, greater mana potion, and super mana potion.

Lesser mana potions could be bought easily so long as one possessed enough money to buy them, and lesser mana potions were mainly able to aid adventurers that were level 20 and below in increasing their mana.

However, there was a limit as to how much mana one could gain when drinking mana potions, and the amount of mana one could gain depended mainly on their aptitude and affinity with mana.

Furthermore, depending on one’s aptitude and affinity with mana, the cooldown period that one was able to drink another mana potion varied with each different individual.

Greater mana potions weren’t as easy to be purchased as lesser mana potions were, but so long as one was an adventurer that was level 20 and above, there were many ways that they would be able to either purchase or obtain greater mana potions.

For example, a level 20 adventurer could gain adventurer points by hunting monsters in dungeons, and with the adventurer points, the adventurer could use them to purchase a greater mana potion from the Adventurers’ Federation’s adventurers’ shop.

However, for a normal level 20 adventurer to be able to gain enough adventurer points to be able to afford to purchase a greater mana potion, it normally would take them quite a while.

Just like lesser mana potions, greater mana potions were able to aid adventurers in increasing their mana, just that, greater mana potions worked for adventurers that were level 50 and below.

Lastly, super mana potions, they were rare to the point that they weren’t even purchasable from the Adventurers’ Federation’s adventurers’ shop.

Super mana potions worked for adventurers of all levels, and if a low-level adventurer or normal human were to drink it, not only would the super mana potion be able to improve the person’s aptitude, but it would also improve the person’s affinity with mana.

However, since super mana potions were already super rare, none of the middle-ranking families would ever think about using super mana potions on their families’ low-level adventurers or family members who still have yet to awaken their classes.

And even amongst the top-ranking families, cases of super mana potions being used on low-level adventurers were rare too.

Shortly after Alan used his spatial ability, Newland Krex began inspecting onto Alan’s body thoroughly, seemingly trying to find something on Alan’s body.

However, after a short while, having confirmed that Alan indeed wasn’t wearing any spatial ring, earring, or necklace, Newland Krex looked at Alan while still with a very surprised look on his face and asked, "There isn’t any spatial item on you... You possess some sort of spatial ability skill?! Before you have even awakened your class?!"

From the looks of things, Newland Krex was even more surprised about the fact that Alan possessed a spatial ability skill, compared to the fact that Alan possessed super mana potions.

Looking at Newland Krex who had a very surprised look on his face, Alan was honestly feeling a little puzzled right now.

From the previous host’s memories, Alan was aware that spatial items and spatial ability skills were rare, but Alan didn’t feel that someone like Newland Krex should be that surprised about him possessing a spatial ability skill, and furthermore, a mere spatial ability skill that seemed to work no different from a spatial item’s storage ability.

"What is with this guy’s reaction? Is there something that I do not know of...? It seems like I mustn’t rely too much on the previous host’s memories..."

Although Alan was thinking that to himself, Alan didn’t hesitate too long before answering Newland Krex’s question.

"That’s right. I managed to experience enlightenment and somehow learned a spatial ability skill that allows me to store items into a spatial space that I possess."

And right as Alan finished speaking, he was immediately able to see Newland Krex’s mass of energy turned from white to green.

Evidently, although Newland Krex had been acting friendly toward Alan all this time, Newland Krex was merely putting on an act.

However, right upon finding out that Alan possesses a spatial ability skill, and seeing that Alan himself admitted to it, Newland Krex immediately decided that Alan was someone who he should treat sincerely, and that Alan was someone who was worth it for him to befriend with.

Not long after hearing Alan admitted to possessing a spatial ability skill, Newland Krex put on a smile on his face as he tapped his right index finger onto Alan’s chest, "Alan, Alan, Alan, you sneaky fellow! Come clean with me, what ties do you have with the Lineras Family!"

"Lineras Family...? I don’t have any ties with them." Alan raised his brows as he muttered the words "Lineras Family".

Upon hearing what Alan said, Newland Krex shook his head helplessly, then placed his right arm over Alan’s shoulders once again, "Alright. It’s fine if you don’t want to admit it, since there are indeed other people here with us right now..."

"However, even if it is true that you don’t really need any of those greater mana potions, you should still accept this passive skill learning book that I have given to you!"

"Once you have awakened your class, this..."

Before Newland Krex was able to start explaining to Alan as to why he should accept the passive skill learning book that he gave to him, Alan quickly cut him off.

"Actually... Not only do I possess a spatial ability skill, but I also possess the passive skill, keen danger sense. Therefore, this passive skill learning book won’t be of any use to me."

Upon hearing what Alan said, Newland Krex’s eyes opened wide once again as he opened his mouth and said while stuttering, "You... you..."

Before Newland Krex had even fully calmed himself down, the words that came out from Alan’s mouth in the next moment caused Newland Krex to feel like his mind was about to explode.

"Newland, I appreciate the gifts that you have prepared for me, I really do. But it is as you see, I have no use for both the greater mana potions and the passive skill learning book."

"However, if you wouldn’t mind... I have a favor that I want to ask of you."

After calming himself down a little by taking in and letting out a huge breath, Newland Krex replied with a smile, "A favor that you want to ask of me? Come on, there’s no need for you to be so formal with me! What is it that you want me to help you with? Go and tell me! So long as it’s something within my power, I will definitely help you with it!"

"Well, it isn’t much honestly. I’m intending on awakening my class within the next few days while I am doing a livestream, and I was thinking about asking you to be on the livestream with me. Of course, that is if you are free."

Upon hearing Alan’s request, Newland Krex immediately agreed without any hesitation, "Of course I am free! A livestream you say? I didn’t expect for you to be interested in live..."

However, in the next moment, seemingly to have finally registered in his mind what Alan had just said, Newland Krex’s expression came to a froze for a moment, followed by him asking Alan while with a dumbfounded look on his face, "Wait... what did you just say again? I didn’t hear wrongly, did I? Did you actually say that you are intending on awakening your class...?"
