Evil dragon has a warm heart
Chapter 703 - 703 701 Preaching
Chapter 703: Chapter 701 Preaching Chapter 703: Chapter 701 Preaching Amber Dreamland, Amber Central Region, Dreamland Kingdom.
Above the canopy of the Amber Great Tree, a congregation of dragons had gathered, whether they were riding with knights or without, all had found their places on the canopy and settled down quietly, waiting.
The canopy spanning dozens of kilometers was sufficient for these giant dragons to crouch.
No dragon dared to make loud noises here, nor fight over positions.
The reason was simple.
At the very top of the canopy, the Dreamscape Ancient Dragon was soundly asleep; within the Amber Dreamland, it was the absolute ruler.
In the real world, it could only appear through a possessed projection, which greatly limited its combat power. But here in the Amber Dreamland, it was the sole true god, and no other dragon could contend with it here.
Katie, riding the Blizzard Dragon, was also quietly waiting on a branch, which was large and sturdy enough.
“His Highness Shadowflame has actually succeeded in advancing to become a Flame Ancient Giant Dragon, which truly makes Blizzard envious.”
The Blizzard Dragon was squatting and looking intently at the Little Dream Dragon, who was sound asleep.
“It’s not surprising, Blizzard,” Katie responded mentally, “Since His Highness Shadowflame chose to follow His Majesty, its fate was destined, sharing in His Majesty’s glory and pursuing greater heights together.”
There was a pause.
Katie then said, “Now, he is Shadowflame Crown.”
“I wonder what kind of experience His Majesty Russell and Shadowflame Crown will impart this time, Blizzard is very much looking forward to it!” said the Blizzard Dragon, licking its lips. Despite being recently born, it was equally eager to progress.
“There’s no need to think too much, Blizzard, just follow His Majesty with me, and the ultimate outcome will surely be brilliant,” Katie said.
“Do you know, Katie, everything about you satisfies Blizzard, but there is one thing that Blizzard really dislikes!”
“Tell me.”
“His Majesty, His Majesty, you base everything around His Majesty Russell, without having self or your own opinions!” the Blizzard Dragon said with a piercing gaze, “That’s not good, Katie, you are the knight chosen by Blizzard, and you should take your own and Blizzard’s lead!”
“I’m sorry,” Katie slowly shook her head, “As you and I both know, our contract was a temporary measure… I will strive to become the knight you expect, but my companion, Blizzard, please understand me.”
She firmly said, “My fate was bestowed by His Majesty, who pulled me and my sister out of misery, so I have sworn to follow behind His Majesty for this lifetime!”
“You really are stubborn!”
“Yes, but that is who I am, the very purpose Katie Blizzard exists!” Katie smiled slightly.
Seeing this.
The Blizzard Dragon could only sigh inwardly, what could it do, after all, it had chosen this knight and must walk through this centennial life with tears.
Both dragon and rider remained silent.
The Blizzard Dragon then cast its gaze around, admiring the Amber Great Tree, trying to discern any trace of Rule Power. However, it saw nothing but many small insects circling the Amber Great Tree.
Bees, snails, geckos, small snakes, dragonflies, spiders… these small insects shone brilliantly, clearly extraordinary.
These were indeed not ordinary insects.
In fact, they were Amber Worms, which had integrated into the Amber Dreamland after the Amber Contractors activated the Amber Pass.
Unless called upon by an Amber Contractor, most of the time Amber Worms and Amber Sprites would reside here in the Amber Great Tree. They were the will that spanned the eons, a supplementary part of the dreamland’s rules.
Hula!
On a branch far away, a new group of arrivals appeared.
Among them were some Phantom Dragon Knights, Dragon Domain Lords, and front-row listening Flying Dragon Knights from various nations. Although they had no connection with giant dragons, they too were eager to hear advanced knowledge.
…
In the City of Amber.
Within the temporary royal palace castle, Lady Ingrid, Lady Meryl, Mrs. Roby, and others were gathered in the courtyard.
They marveled at the dragons dancing amidst the branches of the great Amber Tree above.
“What day is it today, that it is so lively?” Lady Ingrid curiously inquired.
“It is His Highness Shadowflame, Russell, who has been promoted. Now, atop the Amber Great Tree, he is imparting his experience of ascension,” Lady Meryl replied with a smile, no longer surprised by the wonders performed by her younger son.
“Promoted again?” Lady Ingrid was astonished. “Which number of Ancient Dragons is this?”
“The fourth.”
Hearing this, Lady Ingrid sighed deeply, “This is truly… all the Ancient Dragons are flocking to our Little Ghost Fire.”
“This is Russell, the World King cherished by Mother Earth,” Mrs. Roby remarked with a complimenting laugh.
Now, blessings like ‘watched by the dragons, watched by the Ancient Dragons’ had become obsolete. As they no longer suited Russell, a new blessing was coined: “cherished by Mother Earth.”
“Frost Star indeed has seven elders. Mother Earth indeed needs to cherish Russell to help him defeat Frost Star,” said Lady Ingrid.
Lady Meryl smiled, “We once only hoped that Russell could lead a safe life. Who could have imagined that this child has already taken on the responsibility of saving the entire world… to think, Russell is only twenty-four years old!”
“This is truly the chosen one,” Mrs. Roby stated. “Russell has enough time to deal with Frost Star.”
She laughed as she took Lady Meryl’s arm, “Sister-in-law, just be patient and wait for the Amber Dreamland to turn into a new world.”
“A new world, huh… Now, I do somewhat wish to return to the real world, to see the Shadowflame Kingdom,” Lady Meryl reflected.
They had, with the aid of the Fairy Forest, fully integrated into the Amber Dreamland, becoming natives of this realm.
They could no longer return to the Shadowflame Kingdom.
During their conversation, a high-pitched dragon roar was heard. Russell appeared amidst the Dreamscape Volcano, riding a Blizzard Dragon the size of a Bipedal Flying Dragon. Then, flying to the top of the canopy, the Blizzard Dragon transformed into a giant of a thousand meters.
His imposing entrance stirred many dragons.
The Little Dream Dragon also opened its eyes from a deep sleep, glaring menacingly at the Blizzard Dragon. If not for giving face to Russell, it would have certainly challenged Shadowflame to show the dragons who truly ruled the Amber Dreamland.
“Shadowflame, rest for a while,” Russell said telepathically.
The Blizzard Dragon, after glancing at the Dreamscape Ancient Dragon, transformed into a strand of flame atop the Flame Crown.
And Russell sat upon the head of the Little Dream Dragon.
He soothed it through his mind, “Ice Cream, today there is an important lecture. Stay calm together with Shadowflame and leave the stage to me.”
“Alright,” the Little Dream Dragon replied.
However, with a quick shift of its eyes, it snickered telepathically, “Old Shadowflame Dragon, nice hat, lend it to me for a bit!”
It was referring to the Flame Crown.
Shadowflame, somewhat annoyed, responded, “Has no one taught you to respect your elders? You grew up under the wing of Shadowflame.”
“Dragons are not humans, who talks about respecting the elderly!” the Little Dream Dragon retorted. “I heard you’re quite strong, how about we have a go?”
“You little rascal, so disrespectful!”
The two Ancient Dragons started bickering in Russell’s mind.
Russell looked up at the canopy, automatically blocking out Shadowflame and the Little Dream Dragon from his mind.
He then looked at the multitude of dragons on the branches and spoke calmly, “Today, I speak of the path of Rule Power, solely to clear your doubts and questions. Walking this path depends entirely on your own insights; there are no shortcuts.”
