CHAPTER 95: IMMORTAL’S BLOOD THRONE

As the words came out of the young man’s mouth, red flash of light starts descending from the skies once again, appearing like lightning that strikes to punish the Island Orca from existing where it shouldn’t, from suppressing the growth of the ascenders on such a low floor.

’This is really useful as well... well, I’m not really sure if it would be half as useful without the Poison-Absorbing Blood’ looking at another screen floating in front o him, Azrael thought with a smile on his face, feeling like it is truly worth it to use that treasure on the first floor for his Absolute Regeneration ability, the awakening it had gone through granting him something similar, and yet completely different to the Murderous Aura he previously has.

[Absolute Regeneration (EX-Rank Growth-type Ability, First Awakening)]

[Comprehending the nature of the blessing from the god of life and death and transcending its original strength, the possessor of this ability unlocks its full potential for growth, granting the possessor with an immortal, yet still destructible body that can regenerate even from the smallest of cellular remain, this process is now further accelerated and will take at most an hour in order to completely recover from a single cell. Greatly reduce the pain caused by any external and internal damage to the body, as well as improve the body’s defensive capabilities.]

[First Awakening Effect: Immortal’s Blood Throne (SS-Rank sub-ability)]

[Immortal’s Blood Throne (SS-Rank sub-ability)]

[Under the throne of blood, everything shall prostrate themselves as nothing but mere offerings, demonic and divine reduced to nothing but servants, as blood controls the state of living and the throne controls the blood.]

[Effects: Grants the possessor of the sub-ability the authority to control the blood of every being within a certain range up to a certain level of strength, no amount of immunity from skills, abilities and techniques can nullify the effects of this sub-ability, and only a vast difference between the strength of the user and the target can nullify such effect.]

[Note: Even blood outside a body can be controlled through the use of this sub-ability, it is also possible for its possessor to control the blood affected by the sub-ability telepathically.]

Smiling as he wonders whether there are others who had awakened a sub-ability from their abilities, Azrael then proceeds to observes what is happening with his attack on the Island Orca, the blood spears being launched with a tremendous speed allowing it to rip the air apart, landing on the massive body without effort, some even piercing through the tough skin protecting the being that many consider as the ruler of the second floor.

"Is that... all?" feeling like it was just tickled from the attack despite some piercing through its tough hide, the Island Orca mocks as it starts attacking once again, this time with even more intensity as it felt humiliated by such feeble creature refusing its offer to serve under its great self.

"Who knows?" feeling the weight of air becoming heavier once again, Azrael starts moving around before the air compresses the place, his mastery of his movement technique increasing by the second allowing him to avoid attacks faster, and more precise than before, the once dangerous, invisible attacks now only serving as mere annoyance to him.

’He’s... adapted to my attacks... how???’ feeling confused as it saw the biped now effortlessly dodging the invisible attacks it was so proud of, the Island Orca thought to itself panicking as it starts preparing, never expecting that it would need to exert itself more than the just the strength it is using right now.

"Insect... die—" feeling more annoyed than it needs to as it watches the bipedal surviving its prided attack, the Island Orca then decided to take it more seriously than before, its threatening words being cut short as it felt a sharp pain coming from the wounds that was previously dealt by the opponent it is facing.

"Wow~ It’s way more effective than I expected..." looking at the festering wounds on the Island Orca’s back, Azrael said in a loud voice with a playful tone to it, the smile on his face as he claps his hands once a clear mockery towards the monster who is now suffering from the pain of poison spreading all throughout its body.

"How?? My skin... you didn’t even pierce all through it..." as it starts feeling the danger from facing the figure above it, the Island Orca asked in wonder, feeling like at the very least, it should prepare a path to escape, which states a lot on how much careful it is being, given the pride of their race to never back down from any fights.

"Nothing much, you shouldn’t worry too much about it..." despite feeling like his chances of winning against this monster increasing due to this successful attack, Azrael still refuses to reveal how he achieved such thing, feeling like not only is it a waste to explain everything to his opponent, it might also leave certain danger should other beings were to be watching nearby.

Of course, given the intensity of the fight he is currently in, there’s just no way anyone from the second floor, monster or human, can stand even just the pressure from the exchange between these two monsters with strength that shouldn’t really be existing within the second floor of the Ethereal Tower.

This careful nature is also the very reason why despite the current weakened state shown by the Island Orca, he still refuses to come close as who knows what sort of other absurd things it is capable of, deciding to attack from the distance as he takes advantage of his skills once again, bleeding himself far more than anyone can even handle before turning his blood into spears once again, repeating the process just to make sure that he won’t be caught by surprise.

Another surge of crimson lightning descends from the skies, robbing the massive monster of its life little by little, a predicament that it had never experienced during its entire time in the second floor of the tower.
