Rosalindforted her, saying, “It’s all in the past now. You’re doing great, my big star,”
Eloise rolled her eyes. “Please, I’m Beatrice now, not some big star.”
“Alright, Beatrice,” Rosalind teased.
Suddenly, Eloise’s face lit up with realization.“Wait a minute, you’re not a star. Why are they following you? Coul it be that Christopher pissed someone off in business, and they’re trying to kidnap you to get him to cave in?”
Rosalind shot her a look.“You watch too many dramas. Real business battles aren’t so childish,”
“Then who are those women?” Eloise pressed.
Rosalind lowered her gaze, took a sip of her tea, and replied, “They’re Christopher’s people.”
Eloise’s jaw dropped. “Wait, is he jealous of me now? Christopher really is something. He should’ve been working on Al data or something, but instead, he might as well start a vinegar business with all the bitterness he’s brewing
“I’m nning to divorce him,” Rosalind said casually.
Eloise blinked in shock.“Wait, what? This is so sudden. Things seemed fine before.”
“It’splicated. Can’t exin it in a sentence,” Rosalind replied. “But don’t worry. He doesn’t know about you. didn’t tell him.”
Eloise looked at her with a hint of guilt in her expression.
“When ites to secrets, the best thing is to keep them locked away, buried in byour /bgrave. Once you tell one person, sooner orter, ten others will know,” Rosalind said.
Eloise looked guilty.“You really don’t trust anyone, do you?”
Rosalind said firmly, “When ites to your life, I trust no one.”
Just then, her phone buzzed twice.
Eugene said, “Have you signed the power of attorney and divorce papers yet?”
Rosalind, irritated, said, “Are you in a hurry, Mr. Benitez? Don’t worry. I can’t wait to pack up and leave, freei space for your
bromance.”
Eugene said, “My time is valuable. Don’t keep me waiting with all this back–and–forth.”
Rosalind said, “Fine. Got it.”
Eloise looked up.“Who’s got you this worked up? Your screen’s almost cracked.”
“That’s Christopher’s good buddy, Eugene,” Rosalind exined.
“That sharp–tonguedwyer?” Eloise raised an eyebrow.
“Yep.”
Eloise eyed her suspiciously.“Wait, aren’t you two on bad terms? Since when are you swapping contact info?”
19:53??.

Rosalind shrugged. “We use each other. Once this is done, I’ll delete his number.”
Rosalind sent two documents to Eloise. I’m being followed, so I can’t go to the print shop. Can you print theer for me and have your assistant mail them?*
Eloise skimmed them on her phone. “You really are going to divorce Christopher
“Yep,” Rosalind replied. “Please hurry.”
Eloise nodded. “Got it. I’ll support you. I picked up some local specialties while I was at the film site. I’ll slip the documents in and send them with my assistant.”
When they parted ways, Eloise’s assistant was waiting for her in the parking garage.
Rosalind saw her off and began heading back.
Just as she was about to step into the elevator, the doors opened.
Christopher rushed out, grabbing her in a tight embrace.“You’re still here?”
Rosalind said coolly, “You sent four people to follow me. Where else could I go?”
Christopher exhaled deeply. “You’re too sharp. Those four probably couldn’t keep track of you.”
“Thanks for thepliment, but I’m no magician. No matter how good I am, I can’t vanish into thin air.”
Christopher chuckled, wrapping his arm around her waist and leading her into the elevator. “Let’s go. Since you’r here, let’s do some shopping and get you some new clothes.”
“I have enough clothes already. I can’t wear them all,” she said tly.
Suddenly, Christopher stopped, raising an eyebrow.“Wait… didn’t you forgotten?”
