Fairy Tail: Igneel's eldest son in Anime Multiverse
Chapter 276: Reunion with Yuto Ijika
Just as Charles stepped into the Impurity Realm, Rokuro Enmadō and Benio Adashino were suddenly pulled into it from their residence.
They first encountered an enormous Corrupted. After a fierce battle, they barely managed to purify it. But right after, Yuto Ijika appeared before them.
As expected, Rokuro immediately lost it. His sealed, Impurity-possessed arm burst free, revealing its true form.
The demonic face embedded in his arm came alive, roaring like a beast in sync with his furious rage.
But no matter how angry Rokuro was, when he rushed forward, Yuto easily swatted him away.
Benio then heard the truth about Hinatsuki from Shimon Ikaruga, who had arrived late.
The gentle, kind brother in her memories turned out to be a cold-blooded demon—the very one responsible for destroying Rokuro's life.
Though she didn't want to believe it, the truth was right in front of her. Yuto even openly expressed his disdain for their parents and for her, completely shattering the image she had of him.
Rokuro nearly lost his mind, but Benio stopped him at the last second, keeping him from completely falling apart.
Then they both witnessed something terrifying—Shimon Ikaruga, one of the Twelve Guardians, was defeated by Yuto with shocking ease.
They had seen Shimon before. Back then, he had purified a massive number of Impurities with a single blow, showing them the overwhelming power of the Twelve Guardians.
And now, that very same Shimon had been casually defeated by Yuto.
So much had happened in just one day. Rokuro and Benio were overwhelmed.
Yuto kicked aside the bloodied and exhausted Shimon and began walking toward the injured duo.
At that moment, a flaming meteor crashed down between them, kicking up a shockwave that sent Yuto's ragged cloak flapping wildly.
A twisted smile appeared on Yuto's face.
There were no meteors in the Impurity Realm. That was Charles—arriving just in time.
Waving his hand to clear the flames and smoke, Charles stared at Yuto. "Found you."
Yuto made a troubled face. "So Anmu couldn't stop you, huh? Looks like I underestimated you."
Charles frowned. He hadn't shown up after defeating Anmu.
Anmu was strong—he had lived for over a thousand years as a Basara, and his sheer amount of jūryoku was monstrous.
If that were all, Charles would've been confident he could take him head-on and remove this shadowy mastermind.
But Anmu never intended to fight seriously—he only meant to delay Charles.
Just when Charles was growing frustrated, someone unexpected had appeared.
…
Kamui had smashed the ground with a kick, forcing both Charles and Anmu to retreat.
Charles frowned. "You again? I've been running around all day—I don't have time to spar with you!"
Kamui gave him a look. "I know. So this guy… he's the one getting in the way of our fight, right?"
Anmu scowled. With his mask broken by Charles earlier, his now human-like face was fully visible.
As jūryoku strengthened, Impurities gradually took on human form. At Anmu's level, he looked completely human.
Unlike Kamui and other Basara, who typically had one red eye with a black sclera, both of Anmu's eyes looked normal.
But those eyes held no human emotion—only emptiness. And now, irritation.
Anmu considered himself the leader of the Basara. Some followed his orders.
But the Basara were inherently selfish. The stronger ones never answered to anyone.
So seeing someone like Kamui—a Basara less than ten years old—stand against him openly, naturally enraged him.
Kamui, of course, didn't care. He simply punched.
As the two Basara began trading blows, Charles said nothing and headed toward the coordinates Shimon had transmitted.
…
Charles glanced over the three injured people. "I'd really like to see how you plan on running this time."
With that, he dashed forward. A flaming Dragon's Claw slammed into Yuto's Impurity-infused arm.
With a loud bang, Yuto was sent flying, half his cloak incinerated by the flames.
He dusted off the burning scraps and, with a frown, tore the rest off and tossed it aside.
Just one clash—and Charles had knocked him back. It had taken everything Shimon had to do the same.
Before learning about jujutsu, Charles hadn't understood how Yuto could instantly defeat even Seigen Amawaka, who had used a Binding God Spell.
But once he grasped the true nature of jūryoku, he understood.
In this world, the Twin Stars were undoubtedly special—but so was Yuto Ijika.
The Twin Stars were a product of Seimei Abe's long-term plan: born from the yin and yang energies separately nurtured in two bloodlines.
But an anomaly had occurred.
When yang energy gathered in the prestigious Adashino family, they gave birth to twins.
Benio held the yang energy, while Yuto—her twin—possessed the corresponding yin energy born from phase inversion. In essence, Yuto and Rokuro were two sides of the same coin.
In fact, Yuto was far more fitting to be called the King of Ruin: ruthless, cold, and utterly devoted to power.
Because of this, even though he never mastered yin-yang balance through forbidden arts, his foundation far exceeded that of regular onmyōji.
It was like in that ninja world—ordinary ninjutsu simply didn't work on someone at the Six Paths level. The very nature of their energy was on a different tier.
Even the Twelve Guardians, whose jūryoku was pure yang, found their attacks severely weakened when used against Yuto.
Only the Twin Stars' Resonance could inflict real damage.
But Charles was different. "Why should your jūryoku rules apply to my magic?"
Perhaps Yuto had sensed that too, which explained his interest in Charles.
Yuto flexed his arm. "Tch… I thought Anmu could hold you off. Seems I was too naive. In the end, you can only rely on your own power."
"On that, we agree," Charles said, stepping forward.
With a thunderous crash, their fists collided.
Yuto was knocked back again. He raised his index and middle fingers—the seal to activate jujutsu.
"Retsukō Bada—By the laws of urgency, obey!"
Just as Charles had derived Dragon Howl Barrage from his original technique, Yuto too had developed a new spell.
Massive chunks of earth rose from the ground and, infused with jūryoku, transformed into grotesque beasts.
Charles raised his fingers as well. "Dragon Howl Barrage—By the laws of urgency, obey!"
Flaming dragons clashed with the jūryoku beasts. Both sides shattered.
Debris rained down. And the two of them charged each other once more.
