It's actually painful. The demons' attacks are actually painful even with all his very hard armor. They can't break his armor even with their strongest attacks, but the impacts still pass through and they are painful.

Alex feels the incredible pain that he usually won't feel thanks to Kyoka's Pain Amplification. He just doesn't show any pained reaction because he is really good at enduring it. After all, he has felt even worse pain, so he can endure this much.

Years ago when he was very young and got tortured for experiments in that research facility, he had endured even worse pain than this with his very young body.

When he fought with 10 Tails for 6 years when he was crystalized, he had felt worse pain because the damage was directly on his soul. But he endured everything and survived.

Compared to those moments, this current pain is nothing. They are still painful, of course, but they aren't something that he can't endure. That's why Alex can still stand straight while being bombarded with powerful attacks.

One of the demons, Franmalth actually tried to absorb his magic power. However, Alex fights it off with his own Rinne-Sharingan's magic power absorption skill that won't lose to Franmalth who also tries to absorb Alex's soul.

Too bad for Franmalth, Rinne-Sharingan can also absorb soul. So Alex can counter the Curse perfectly using the same ability.

Keyes tries to poison him with Magic Barrier Particles. Torafuzar also tries to poison him with his poisonous black water. But they can't find any openings to insert those poisons into Alex's body.

Jackal tries to break Alex's armor with strong explosions. Ezel tries to cut Alex's armor with his sharp blades. Tempester tries to electrocute Alex with lightning to weaken his whole body.

However, none of their attacks work. Alex doesn't seem injured or hurt despite getting Kyoka's Pain Amplification. He can't even move because Seilah's Macro is holding him, yet they can't damage his body.

In fact, their attacks seem to get weaker even though they are using more power. It confuses them until Franmalth finally realizes that Alex is absorbing the energy from their attacks.

"WHAT?! HOW? A HUMAN IS ABSORBING CURSE POWER? THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!" Keyes voices out their confusion. No one can answer because they also don't know how.

Then, Alex answers it himself while moving his body slowly like doing stretching, showing that he can break free from Seilah's Macro control.

"Well, it's normal for you to think that it's impossible. You always think that Curse is superior to Magic, after all. As I always said, Curse still used Ethernano as its base fuel. Negative emotion alone can't manifest into magic-like power. That strong Negative emotion affects Ethernano in the atmosphere and turns it into what you call Curse Power. In a sense, it's actually just a mutated Ethernano. But no matter what, it's still Ethernano at its base. Normal Mages can't resist that mutated Ethernano because the Negative Emotion contained in Curse Power is too strong for humans to handle."

If normal Ethernano is like pure water, then Curse Power is like polluted water. Drinking polluted water will poison humans and kill them. But the Etherious Demons were made to wield that power, so they won't get affected.

"Unfortunately for you, I have partners who can take that Negative Energy without any side effects and even transform it into pure natural energy."

The Tailed Beasts, especially Kurama can absorb the Curse Power without any problem and turn it into nature power. He says that nature energy has many forms and he is used to taking any of them because he can't be picky, so this is just like water with a different taste for him.

That's why to process the Curse Power, Alex transfers it to Kurama after absorbing it and Kurama processes it before releasing it in Alex's soul realm which will then get absorbed by Alex's body.

Too bad that he can only absorb the Curses that have forms like the attacks they directly hit him with. He can't absorb Kyoka's Pain Amplification and Seilah's Macro because they don't have forms, so he can only resist them.

He even absorbs the energy of the Magic Barrier Particles in his body. These particles are also called Anti-Magic particles, but they aren't Anti-Power Absorption.

It's just that they also contain Iron, so even if he absorbs their energy, the iron particles are still there in his blood. Humans need iron in their bodies, but too much is bad too, so he needs to take them out.

To do that, he transforms into mini Shukaku and now the iron particles actually merge with his Sand Body and will disappear along with the sand when he transforms again.

But he will stay in Shukaku form and maintain his Sand Body now. After all, it's time to fight the demons back.

Alex just sits on his spot and puts his big sand hands on the floor. He can feel the entire room that's made of rocks and metal using Shukaku's Magnet Release.

"Now, it's my turn."

Numerous rock spears suddenly shoot out of the floor, hitting the demons and forcing them to defend. They scatter to protect themselves using their Curse abilities.

Keyes transforms his body into Magic Barrier Particles to avoid the attacks. Jackal destroys the spears using his Bombs. Ezel cuts every spear that comes toward him.

But the one who contributes the most among them is Tempester who creates a strong tempest that sends the spears away from everyone. Some spears still can pass through, but they can handle them because Tempester's tempest has weaken the spears.

The spears keep coming though because Alex uses the falling spears to form more spears and shoot them to the demons again. He even transforms the fallen rock spears into sand in the process to make them easier to control.

Jackal tries to stop the attack by detonating Alex's body. He has touched Alex so many times and planted his Bomb Curse on Alex each time. But Alex's body doesn't explode because Alex absorbs all of Jackal's attacks' energy, so the Bomb Curses weren't planted.

However, Jackal still can shoot his Bomb Curse from a distance. He shoots it at Alex while jumping to dodge the rock and sand spears.

Massive explosions happen on Alex's spot because Jackal uses a lot of power for these attacks. The sand spear attacks stop, so the Demons can stand on the ground that has fully transformed into sand again.

When the smoke disappears, they can see a big crater in the big room. Alex is nowhere to be seen, making them smirk because they think his body has been destroyed into bits.

But their face stiffens when sand starts to gather into 1 spot and forms Alex's Mini Shukaku body again. In Shukaku form, Alex can fully transform his body into sand to nullify attacks. So even if his body is destroyed, he can return to normal again.

"Too bad your bombs don't have much heat in them. Heat can turn sand into glass, you know. But only if it's hot enough to melt the sand or strong enough to break through my magical defense."

Creating heat that can melt sand might be easy for the demons, but defeating Alex's magical defense is a lot harder. Might as well call it impossible because his magic is incredibly strong.

The whole room is covered in sand now and unbeknownst to the demons, this whole room is already sealed with Shukaku's seal, so none of them can leave this room unless they kill Alex.

This room is fully isolated from outside, so even Mard Geer won't be able to observe anything that happens here or manipulate this room through his control over the Cube.

"Time to break your legs."

Just when Alex is about to attack more seriously, the Demons suddenly start releasing powerful energy. They seem to realize that half-assed attacks won't defeat Alex, so they need to be serious.

Alex raises an eyebrow when they finally transform into their Etherious Forms. He hasn't even beat them up too badly, yet they've already transformed.

"Aren't you getting serious too fast? Normally, you would only transform after I beat you up quite badly and made you realize you aren't my match, right? Don't you need to have too high egos to transform this early when I haven't even gained the upper hand?"

Alex is asking some nonsense that usually happens in stories. He just doesn't realize that he has already overpowered them. He withstood their attacks like nothing and he even bombarded them with endless spears that overwhelmed them for a short time.

"Well, if you want to be serious so quickly, then I'm all game. Just know that I'm merciless to my enemies, especially those who have connections with that damn Zeref."

Alex wants to end this quickly by defeating them, then defeat Mard Geer, and take the END book. But before he can even attack, he suddenly loses all his 5 senses.
