Chapter 283 - 265: To Be Fixed Tomorrow
CHAPTER 283: CHAPTER 265: TO BE FIXED TOMORROW
Coming out of the apartment building, Chen Nan was carrying a pink bag and a garbage bag in his hand. The pink bag was heavy, filled with soup dumplings she had made by hand.
As he got into the car, Chen Nan suddenly realized something.
He didn’t ask for her contact information just now.
Chen Nan frowned. How would he return the clothes to her?
Chen Nan thought about going back, but it was already late and she might be preparing to sleep.
He decided not to go back and disturb her.
Oh well.
Tomorrow he could ask Jiang Ruan.
She must have Lu Jie’s contact information.
The taxi was driving down the road, and Chen Nan’s mouth was filled with the sweet taste of soup dumplings, while the clothes he wore exuded a lime scent.
Chen Nan couldn’t help but have a stirring in his heart.
He wondered what kind of man she loved but couldn’t have.
She had never been in love, just like him.
He had never been in love either.
—
In the villa, Jiang Ruan was forced to finish the hangover soup that Bao Ye had the servant prepare.
After putting down the bowl, her small face wrinkled up as she complained to the man beside her, "It’s so bitter."
"Did you tell them not to add sugar? Today’s hangover soup is clearly more bitter than before."
Bao Ye’s dark eyes glanced over, and his thin lips curled slightly, "They added two spoons, and it’s still bitter?"
"If it’s any sweeter, you’ll end up with diabetes."
Jiang Ruan kicked off her slippers and scooted over to his side of the sofa. After drinking, she became a love-struck fool.
She stretched out her arms, "Bao Ye, hug me."
Her tone was soft, like a little girl.
Bao Ye enjoyed her initiative, put down his book, and easily wrapped his long arm around her waist, pulling her into a full embrace.
Jiang Ruan snuggled in his arms.
Thinking of something, she looked up to find his lips, as if to kiss.
Bao Ye pinched her chin, "What are you doing?"
Jiang Ruan’s dark eyes blinked, "Kissing, of course. A kiss."
"You won’t stop me from kissing you, will you?"
Bao Ye chuckled, rubbing her cheek with his thumb, "Doing it on purpose, huh?"
"Kissing me right after drinking hangover soup."
"You want me to taste it too?"
Realizing her intention was caught, Jiang Ruan stuck out her tongue, "You’re so clever."
Bao Ye pushed her chin away slightly, "Not a chance."
Jiang Ruan pouted, "You’re shunning me."
She gritted her teeth, "You’re actually shunning me."
Bao Ye, "I’m not."
"You won’t let me kiss you. Isn’t that shunning me?" Jiang Ruan said, unable to stop herself from blurting out, "Even someone you really shouldn’t kiss, you kissed before. Now, after just a little hangover soup, you’re shunning me. Mr. Bao, you’re so fickle."
Bao Ye felt a buzzing at his temples.
At the same time, his Adam’s apple bobbed, and his arm around her waist tightened, looking down at her lying in his embrace.
In a husky voice, he asked, "Are you trying to seduce me?"
Jiang Ruan shook her head, "I’m not."
"Then what are you doing by mentioning that? Hmm?" His dark eyes were like black holes, impossible to read, yet something seemed ready to stir.
The hand around her waist began to wander impatiently, "If you want to experience it again, you can say so."
"It’s not like I can’t satisfy you."
Jiang Ruan blushed all over at what he’d said.
"What are you saying?" She gritted her teeth, "I don’t want to."
"I was just saying you’re shunning me...oh..."
Before she could finish, the man tilted her chin up and kissed her.
His kiss was domineering and forceful, making it hard for her eyes to refuse, although the bitterness of the hangover soup still lingered in their mouths, spoiling the moment.
After the kiss, Jiang Ruan lay in his arms.
Listening to Bao Ye say coldly, "It really is quite bitter."
Jiang Ruan grumbled, "I wasn’t lying, was I."
Bao Ye leaned over and picked her up, leaving the sofa and heading towards the big bed.
Jiang Ruan realized what he intended and began to struggle, "Bao Ye, my waist aches, my legs hurt, everything hurts. Ah, no, let me off tonight..."
Interrupted by Bao Ye’s cool voice, "Shut up."
"There’s candy on the nightstand, I’ll get you some candy."
Hearing this, Jiang Ruan immediately went silent.
She said, "Oh."
So that’s how it is.
Bao Ye placed her on the bed, his long fingers opening the drawer to take out a bottle of strawberry candy.
Then he poured one out and handed it to her.
Jiang Ruan took it and bit it into her mouth, enjoying the sweet strawberry flavor. Smiling, she said, "Mr. Bao, you’re quite nice."
"When did you put the candy there? How come I didn’t know?"
Being questioned, Bao Ye glanced at her, his tone somber, "Isn’t it because someone has such a low tolerance for alcohol but insists on drinking? Afterward, refusing the hangover soup, crying and fussing."
Jiang Ruan, "..."
Revealing someone’s faults is quite a rude thing, isn’t it.
Seeing him put the cap back on and place the bottle away, she was curious, "Aren’t you going to have one?"
"It’s sweet strawberry flavor, very tasty."
Bao Ye closed the drawer, watching her smug demeanor, he said, "Let me ask you a question."
Jiang Ruan, "Go ahead."
"What does it mean when there’s a cause, there’s an effect?"
