CHAPTER 238: CHAPTER 230: CULTIVATING GIANT MUSHROOMS
Struggling through one-fifth of the work, Han Qiwu slowly stopped, went back inside to take a shower, then collapsed onto the bed and fell into a deep sleep.

"Zzzzt, zzzzt..."
Early in the morning, Han Qiwu was jolted awake by the buzzing sound of electrical currents.
"Did something short-circuit at home?" Han Qiwu scrambled to get up, grabbed a voltage tester from the toolbox, and cautiously followed the sound.
As he walked along, he ended up in the courtyard. Looking up, he saw Little Electric standing atop the Jilei Mountain’s ventilation outlet, its wings flapping rapidly.
"So it’s you, you little rascal," Han Qiwu muttered, walking over to open the gate and take a closer look inside.
"Zzzzt zzzzt..."
The Angus Cattle was at the mercy of Little Electric’s training, standing there with its horn braced against the electric currents.
The tiny electrical sparks jumped and crackled, zzzzt zzzzt, emitting bursts of fire.
The Angus Cattle gritted its teeth and stared at Red Bull off to the side, thinking: Red Bull! Wait for me!
I will endure this pain!
I must evolve!
Watching from nearby, Red Bull felt pangs of sympathy for Angus and wanted to walk over to comfort it. But before it could get close, one of its hooves got zapped by the stray currents, forcing it to back off hurriedly.
Standing in the doorway, Han Qiwu couldn’t help sighing.
For the sake of Red Bull, Angus Cattle was choosing strength, yet the moment it attained that strength, it could no longer touch Red Bull.
Perhaps... this is love.
"I’ve got to help Angus out somehow. With such good genetics, it’d be a shame not to get a few calves from it," Han Qiwu mused, his heart moved by this love story. He lowered his head, thought for a bit, then headed inside to grab two Thunderlight Fish and placed them in Angus’s feed trough.
The only thing at home related to lightning was the Thunderlight Fish.
If Angus was already mutating, it should be able to eat this too, right?
Seeing the Thunderlight Fish in the trough, Angus Cattle’s eyes lit up and it immediately moved over to eat.
But before chowing down, it trotted up to Han Qiwu and tried to rub up against him.
Han Qiwu instantly recognized its intentions and took two quick steps back.
"Don’t come near me! My fragile body won’t survive being shocked by you!"
Angus froze mid-motion, then returned to the trough and began eating the feed and fish, one bite at a time.
After finishing one Thunderlight Fish, Angus picked up the other with its mouth, turned its head, and flicked it toward Little Electric, motioning for it to eat.
"Not bad, not bad. Sharing food when you have it," Han Qiwu chuckled approvingly.
Angus glanced at him, then stomped its hoof on the ground to explain the reason.
Basically, yesterday it gave me its fish, so today I’ll give it my fish.
The more Han Qiwu thought about it, the more off it seemed. Smiling slyly, he turned to Little Electric. "Little Electric, you actually know how to feed fish to a cow, huh?"
Little Electric puffed out its chest and flapped its wings proudly, signaling that there was no need to thank it—this was simply what it should do.
Han Qiwu nodded, then jumped up to grab Little Electric’s leg. Holding it by the bird foot, he dragged it toward the house, planning to reacquaint it with his shoe’s signature flavor.
Luckily, Angus Cattle had mutated and could eat fish.
If Little Shui or Red Bull ate fish, who knows what catastrophe might unfold.
Little Electric really was mischievous; it needed to be taught a lesson.
"Ah!"
"Ah!"
"Ah!"
Little Electric screeched in agony, its cries harrowing enough that someone unfamiliar with the situation might think it was headed for the oven instead of facing a shoe.
Just as they entered the house, Han Qiwu heard his phone buzz. He picked it up and saw a message from Mr. Tang: "Thanks for the flowers, they’re really pretty, hehe."
Flowers??
Since when did I send flowers?
Han Qiwu stared blankly at his screen for a moment, then clicked on the photo Tang Qingying sent along with the message.
In the photo, on the passenger seat next to Tang Qingying were a vibrant Luoyang Red Peony and a delicate Cymbidium Orchid, alongside two small bear plushies.
"Weird, who put these there?" Han Qiwu zoomed in on the image and faintly noticed some claw marks on the stems.
They looked kinda familiar.
Oh, probably Little Electric’s.
Han Qiwu hoisted the upside-down Little Electric and pointed at the phone screen. "Little Electric, did you deliver these for me?"
Little Electric thumped its chest gallantly, once again indicating there was no need for thanks—it thought to itself, ’There were flowers at home, and you didn’t even think of sending them? If I don’t help you, who will! Master, if your conscience bothers you, how about helping me find a little lady sparrow instead?’
Although Han Qiwu couldn’t decipher all of Little Electric’s thoughts, he still felt a twinge of gratitude.
This rascal, mischievous as it was, actually had a bit of thoughtfulness in it.
"Fine, you’re off the hook. Go play." Han Qiwu released Little Electric and passed over a Thunderlight Fish.
Grabbing the fish in its beak, Little Electric flapped its wings and flew back toward Jilei Mountain to zap Angus Cattle again.
Han Qiwu casually turned on the TV.

Finally, rain tomorrow!
The past days’ income barely making three figures felt like such a pity.
Might as well fish tomorrow to recover some resources.
Help Quest?
Han Qiwu reflected for a moment—he really hadn’t checked the help quests in quite a while.
He’d make time to glance at it later today.
The Almanac’s message intrigued Han Qiwu a bit.
Maybe today he could finally find Egger!
What exactly is that old man up to?
As for Shennong’s recipe...
If the old master is happy, that’s all that matters.
After turning off the TV, Han Qiwu whipped up some fried noodles using leftovers from yesterday, eating a quick and simple meal.
Once finished, he headed to the courtyard. While watering the rice crops, he checked on the progress of the strawberry seedlings.
The effects of the Seven-Colored Sunshine had already taken hold.
Today, the strawberry seedlings were twice as tall as yesterday, with many new leaves sprouting as well.
After watering, Han Qiwu calculated the days and realized the giant mushrooms should be ready by now. Cheerfully, he headed to the cultivation cave.
Except for the eighth rock protrusion, seven others were still in the cultivation phase, creating a dreamy atmosphere with tiny spores swirling and dancing in the sunlight.
Han Qiwu went straight to the eighth rock protrusion and found the newly cultivated giant mushroom beneath it.
The giant mushroom looked slightly different from before—it appeared whiter, cuter, and its features were more defined.
"Hopefully the toxicity has lessened a bit. After all, I like to think of myself as a tough guy now." Han Qiwu picked up the cultivated giant mushroom to check its properties.
