Farming in a Parallel World and Becoming a God

Chapter 1769: Chapter 856: Nightmare Dream Realm
Feeling the force that governs everything, the Dushan Witch is finally content as she withdraws her attention; she is in love with this feeling, being an omnipotent god in the Nightmare Dream Realm, everything under her control. All souls within this realm are her toys, subjects to her rule, trembling under her supreme power.
To obtain more and stronger power, she must harvest more souls, especially those of the Laiserman, which are especially compatible.
Her sisters surprisingly consider defeating the Tukan Army more important than dealing with her.
This makes the Dushan Witch smirk uncontrollably; the longer they are delayed at Lake Asen, the more souls she can harvest in Mosantiel City, thus amplifying the power of the Nightmare Shadow Tree, which will greatly benefit her future plans.
Sooner or later, there will come a day when they will regret the decisions made today, but not now.
The eyes on the Nightmare Shadow Tree shut once more, symbolizing the Dushan Witch refocusing on matters within the Nightmare Dream Realm.
The awkward situation now is that she had previously overestimated her and the Nightmare Dream Realm’s abilities, ingesting too many Laiserman souls at once, leading to indigestion.
The Laiserman within the Nightmare Dream Realm are grouping together to resist the realm’s corruption.
The Dream World differs from reality; it’s not as simple as charging over to kill them, but requires peeling away their Personal Dreams to find them for devouring, a rather tedious process.
The Dushan Witch is racking her brain, seeking a more efficient method to harvest souls.
…
“Interesting.” Gaven surveys the surroundings.
It is far from the eerie, monster-infested scene he anticipated.
He remains in Mosantiel City, albeit a bleak and dilapidated version, ruins everywhere, others shabby and precariously teetering.
He concentrates discernment, another image emerges in his mind; the recently seen Mosantiel City, comparing it with the current scene.
Finding no reference, as many intact houses in reality show entirely different states here; he even feels watched within those dilapidated houses, as if not vacant, but inhabited.
No.
The viewpoint is incorrect.
He is in a Dream World now, be it a sweet dream or a nightmare corroded by Dark Power, its essence remains the same, built upon Soul Consciousness.
Thus, everything here is not a material manifestation but a soul manifestation.
Mosantiel City’s appearance stems from the dream mainly constructing from its residents.
These residents differ from those of the Dragon Oak Dream Realm; the latter knew what they faced from the start, thus could shape the world with their thoughts.
Whereas Mosantiel City’s citizens dragged into nightmares instinctively believed they remained in the city; facing danger, instinctively fleeing home—home being the safest place, the ultimate refuge, inherent to most intelligent beings.
In essence, those houses depicted as ruins signify the owners not pulled into the Nightmare Dream Realm, lacking Soul Consciousness, hence as ruins.
Existing houses, however, indicate at least one or more people whose Soul Consciousness has entered the Nightmare Dream Realm.
He is an outsider, entering through a backdoor, naturally lacking his own house.
The backdoor Gaven entered relates to the Totem Dreamscape.
The Natural Balancer, the parent-child relationship between Totem Dreamscape and Nightmare Dream Realm is evident; regardless of their nature altering, this shall remain unchanged, inevitably bound together.
Sending someone into another Dream World using another’s Dream Power, under premeditated defense, even accomplished, would alarm the other Dream World’s host.
Gaven bet on the Dushan Witch not plugging this backdoor gap yet.
Indeed.
Relying solely on her exploration, the Dark Witch grasps merely the initial use of the Nightmare Dream Realm, let alone weaving it, even failing to completely seize this world.
Ultimately, she seized souls through nightmares rather than building normally through win-win cooperation like other Dream Worlds.
Gaven intended to knock on a house door to verify his hypothesis, meanwhile connecting with those Laiserman souls, but a chilling wail emanated from the street’s end, accompanied by enveloping black mist, seemingly filled with frightening monsters relentlessly crashing against house doors.
Many houses, dilapidated and precarious, remain uncollapsed under the mist monsters’ continuous assault, including those seeming weak enough for a moderate adult kick to shatter the doors, imparting an indestructible aura.
Gaven thoughtfully muses, seemingly these houses further reflect those trapped in nightmares’ defenses, as long as they don’t voluntarily step out, their Soul Consciousness momentarily remains safe, unengulfed by the Nightmare Dream Realm’s monsters.
