Chapter 1775: Chapter 858: Terror Demon
Every single one of them is a Dark Caller hunting Nightmare Creatures, no Nightmare Creature has ever turned around to kill a Dark Caller.
Soon, some Dark Callers had more than a hundred misty faces in their bodies. When they started surging forward, they occupied whole streets, no longer being hunted by those Nightmare Creatures but instead proactively seeking them out by scent.
Eventually, they even set their sights on the Laiserman people trapped in their homes and succeeded greatly.
It’s not that they could break through the houses of these Laiserman, but they were skilled in temptation and fear domination.
These emotions could seep directly through the rooms.
When the Laiserman believed their houses could no longer protect them, they naturally ran out.
Only to find something more terrifying waiting for them outside, quickly turning into part of the Dark Callers amid endless fear.
“What’s going on? Where did they come from?”
Soon the Dushan Witch noticed the peculiar situation here and decisively struck at a Dark Caller with no less than three hundred misty faces.
A giant black hand, almost tangible, descended from the sky, heavily smacking this Dark Caller.
The Dark Caller, arrogant before ordinary Nightmare Creatures, was merely high-level cannon fodder for the Overlord of Nightmare Dream Realm, Dushan Witch.
They were smacked into ashes with one slap, as easy as crushing a cockroach.
The flying misty faces scattered, attempting to reconvene, were tightly bound by shadow ropes that sprouted from all directions, gradually pulling them into the shadows, becoming part of the Nightmare Dream Realm.
As they were pulled away, they left rings of white mist-like traces.
This indicated that the Nightmare Dream Realm’s digestion of them was incomplete; merely forcing them inside without fully dissolving them, as they possessed unique fear strength and a higher existential essence far beyond the just-formed Nightmare Dream Realm.
Though this doesn’t mean the Nightmare Dream Realm couldn’t digest them,
it would undoubtedly require careful effort and considerable time.
“Ether Gate, this links to another half-plane.” The Dushan Witch soon followed the traces and found the Gate of Mist the Dark Callers had teleported through.
The giant hand descended, squeezing and rubbing, directly rupturing the Gate of Mist.
Meanwhile, her heart was filled with even heavier confusion; how exactly did these Ether Gates come about?
Did they form spontaneously or were they artificially created?
She knew her own situation, eager to apply the Nightmare Dream Realm practically, harvesting more Laiserman souls to enhance this dream, without having yet devoted more energy to its perfection.
And the Ether Plane was not a place of goodwill, containing its own various dangers.
With its strange and bizarre worlds and monsters, it surpassed the Shadow Plane in diversity.
The Shadow Plane, dominated by negative energy, is mostly composed of undead and shadow creatures.
The Ether Plane, however, includes most of the Shadow Plane’s monsters and has numerous exclusive beings.
After all, the Ether Plane, like the Starry Realm, is a transportation artery connecting countless Material Planes, half-planes, and Inner Planes to a single Ether Plane.
Its mental plasticity makes it more diversified.
In the Laiserman Kingdom, the Ether Plane previously appeared to the world as the Totem Lands and later as the Totem Dreamscape.
In other places, it mostly exists in the form of Ether Mists.
Some bizarre ether beings are attracted by the unique situations of the Nightmare Dream Realm, seeking it out, which is not an unusual occurrence.
“This is not a random event; it’s a conscious invasion. Could my sisters have secretly infiltrated using methods unknown to me?”
After crushing three Gates of Mist consecutively, the Dushan Witch was one hundred percent sure this was not random, but there was a stronger invader hidden within the Nightmare Dream Realm. Consciously establishing contact with a world unknown to her, launching an assault on the Nightmare Dream Realm.
Her first suspicion was naturally her witch sisters.
Considering her current actions cause them the greatest harm, they are most eager to stop her.
But she quickly dismissed this speculation because she knew her sisters too well.
Their intimacy with elements was both their greatest advantage and biggest disadvantage.
With most of their energy devoted to element research, they had no extra energy to study the Ether Plane.
If not for the young commander from the west coast of the Sea of Fallen Stars, the Laiserman Kingdom wouldn’t have ventured into the Totem Dreamscape, at least not in the short term.
None of the well-known Laiserman witches had extensive exploration into the ether world outside the Totem Lands.
This could only be the handiwork of outsiders, making it difficult to guess; it could be a powerful being from the Ether Plane or a strong presence from Felen, showing considerable interest in the Nightmare Dream Realm and wanting to intervene.
