Chapter 1777: Chapter 858: Terror Demon (Part 3)
The entire dark Mosantiel City trembled and shook violently in the explosion, with the giant hand formed by Nightmare Power bearing the brunt of it, unable to maintain its stability, and bursting open in mid-air. The terrifying Nightmare Power swept across everything around, including Philancy who was directly below.
But when the Nightmare Power swept across, her traces had already vanished.
She seized the opportunity to escape into the Ether Plane again. The series of explosions from the Ether Portal just now shattered the protective shield of the Nightmare Dream Realm once more, no, even more tattered than before, drawing more power from the Half-Plane of Fear.
Philancy’s Magic Array in the Nightmare Dream Realm had already taken shape.
It was both a summoning Magic Array and a positioning Magic Array, aiming to further deepen the connection between the Nightmare Dream Realm and the Half-Plane of Fear, creating a stable anchor point.
Allowing the Nightmare Dream Realm to mingle extensively with the power of the Half-Plane of Fear, including the actions of Dushan Witch smashing the Dark Callers and the Ether Portal earlier, also accelerating this process.
When the fog of Fear connected seamlessly, a massive milky white Portal appeared at the center, accompanied by a loud howl filled with endless excitement. An indescribable, terrifying Monster from nightmares crawled out from it.
Its appearance was much like a Super Giant brain, not a head, but the kind of brain with the skullcap lifted, with the unique grooves of a brain visible on top, just covered with a sticky gray substance, its front endowed with an astonishing number of eyes and large mouths of varying sizes.
These eyes lacked eyelids yet were exceptionally beautiful gold, the pupils appearing black, making them look both large and round. If placed on a normal person, they would definitely be the most striking and beautiful existence, but on this Monster, they only made one feel a scalp-tingling discomfort, and not just that, even being targeted by those eyes would involuntarily birth Fear from the depths of the heart, dominating body and mind.
These mouths weren’t so much mouths as they were soft-bodied creatures’ mouthparts, densely filled with a circle of sharp teeth, constantly opening and closing, emitting a low, chilling noise, directly penetrating to the heart, transforming unease into Fear, twisting Fear into despair.
It floated mid-air, dragging long tentacles behind it of varying thickness, the longest two at its sides, twice its body’s length.
It had only two main tentacles, with a third of its length, and dozens of smaller tentacles of differing thickness, constantly writhing and entangling, seemingly attempting to express something, equally disquieting.
After emerging from the Mist Portal, the oily gray skin began to flicker continuously, becoming multicolored for a moment, as if all the colors in the spectrum could be found here. When the colors faded, its body also gradually vanished, preparing to enter invisibility.
“Get out here.” Dushan Witch angrily shouted with a heavy expression.
The shadow rippled beside the Monster, directly interrupting its invisibility.
The Dark Witch immediately recognized the origins of this terrifying Monster. It was called a Terror Demon, much like the previous Dark Callers, also born of Fear and nightmares.
Unlike the Dark Callers, it was not an Undead creature but a type of Alien Monster, with harsher spawning conditions compared to the Dark Callers; a small amount of nightmare could never produce such Monsters.
The offspring of a Terror Demon required hundreds or even thousands of people, long immersed in immense Fear and anxiety, haunted by nightmares, this vast emotion’s fusion and eruption, it would be born amidst endless Fear and Death.
They often accompany prolonged war, famine, and cities long threatened by terrifying Monsters, thus seen as symbols of disaster, their appearance often exacerbating disastrous situations.
They might even bring Fear elsewhere, using various methods to create Fear and disaster, for they feed on Fear, attempting in the process to breed more companions.
When five Terror Demons gather together, they can merge into a High-level Terror Demon.
However, this Terror Demon before them far exceeded the size of the High-level Terror Demon in Dushan Witch’s knowledge, indicating it was a higher variant of a Terror Demon.
If multiple Terror Demons could merge to birth High-level Terror Demons.
Could multiple High-level Terror Demons merge too? What would be born then?
This Terror Demon clearly sensed the threat and pressure from Dushan Witch, opened all its large mouths in anger, emitting a sharp roar that instantly enveloped half of the dark Mosantiel City.
“No, no, no, I don’t want to die, I don’t want to die, ahh… ”
“Monster, the Monster crawled in, it’s in my head, get out, get out of my head…”
“I want the Monster dead, I want all Monsters dead, all of them to die for me!”
The roar of the Terror Demon carried with it endless Fear, despair, and hatred, directly infecting and controlling those Laiserman, whose spirits had been worn down by the torment of the Nightmare Dream Realm, already on the verge of collapse.
This Terror Demon became the last straw to crush the camel, causing countless Laisermen in states of Fear and despair to make the gravest mistake, rushing out from their last shelters, running wildly on the desolate and despair-filled streets, in a desperate search for hope, unaware they were running further down the path of despair.
This sight made the Terror Demon uncontrollably excited, continuing to gorge its large mouths, savoring the rare supreme delicacy while harshly prying several of its golden eyeballs from its own body.
Once released, these golden eyeballs danced frantically in the air as if performing a famous sinister dance.
The omnipresent Fear, despair, and Death in the Nightmare Dream Realm began to form around these golden eyeballs, burgeoning in the wind.
The sticky gray cortex, exposed brain-like shape, frenzied tentacles, golden eyeballs, and sharp-toothed large mouths.
What else could it be if not the birth of a new group of Terror Demons?
But their body type was several times smaller than the Terror Demon Lord that first emerged, with tentacles only about a meter long, numbering no more than eight.
