Fated to the Alpha's Sons: An Omegas Rise to Fame
Chapter 109: See you on Friday.
CHAPTER 109: SEE YOU ON FRIDAY.
Just as he was, they were saying their goodbyes in their own ideal ways. Bethany walked into the sitting room, her eyes squinting as they tried to adjust to the large amount of light that poured into the room from the open door.
Troy noticed her first, his face lightening up. "Princess, you’re awake." He called, cutting short Tristan and Theo’s banter as he walked past them, beelining for their mate while doing a quick take in of her appearance.
"How are you?" He asked, his eyes falling to her neck and collarbone, and to part of her right shoulder that was exposed, due to how wide the neck of the top she was putting on was.
"I’m okay. I feel fine." She said, smiling softly at him as she no longer had to squint her eyes since he was standing before her.
"Come and sit down." He said, pulling her softly to a sofa, sitting her down carefully, before taking a seat.
Tristan and Theo had long stopped arguing, putting aside their ’differences’, although Theo still barked at them through the mind link, threatening them as much as he could to leave so he could enjoy his little time left with her.
"Hey, Princess, Tristan called, smiling. His deep voice and smug smile sent shivers down her spine as images of what he’d done to her in the basement flashed in her mind. "I see you slept well."
"Yeah, I did. But I kept hearing voices in my dreams. Your voices." She said, giving them an accusatory gaze, thinking they’d catch the idea.
"Oh, really? What were we saying?" Theo asked, flashing his signature smirk.
"Well, it was more like you guys were quarrelling." She hinted again, and that did it. Looks of realization settled on their faces, and almost immediately transformed into ones of remorse.
"We’re sorry," Troy spoke up from beside her, while giving pointed looks to his guilty-looking brothers. "We were settling some issues downstairs. That must have been the voices you heard. We didn’t know we were that loud." He apologized on their behalf.
"It’s okay. I was already awake by then; they just stopped me from going back to sleep." She pacified, her eyes darting around the sitting room.
"It’s been cleared out." Theo said, knowing what she was looking for.
"I see." She said softly. "That couch looks new." She pointed, swallowing as she tried to ignore the rising tension in the room, not wanting to meet their gazes, scared she might die of shyness.
"Yeah, I got a new one. The other one was bloodied beyond repair." Theo explained, shifting uncomfortably as he recalled their earlier fallout.
"Okay." She said, not knowing any other thing to say, or a topic to speak of.
"Umm.." Troy spoke up, upon realizing it was time for him, and Tristan took their leave. "Tristan and I would be taking our leave now. You’d see him tomorrow and we’d see you on Friday, right Princess?" Giving her a knowing smile that caused several lumps to form in her throat as she understood his words.
"Yeah." She said softly, letting a small smile slip onto her lips.
"See you on Friday." Tristan said, giving her a wink, before turning away, heading to the door with Troy. She could feel blood rush to her cheeks as vivid mental images flooded her head. She shut her eyes tightly to force them out but I wasn’t working.
"Is something wrong, Princess?" Theo asked, a bit confused. He couldn’t tell if she was reddening because of what his brothers had said, or because of something else.
"No. Nothing is wrong. I’m just clearing my head." She said as she opened her eyes that had reddened a little due to how hard she had tightened her eyes.
Her wolf was on edge with anticipation, bouncing about in her mind, filling her head with her crude thoughts, some of them even made her cringe. Controlling her was almost impossible, so she was trying so hard to shove and lock her in the deepest dormant part of her mind, where it would be very difficult to infiltrate her thoughts.
"Clearing your head," Theo stated with an arched eyebrow, trying as hard as possible not to laugh at her crimson face. "How about we go for a run?" He suggested.
Bethany almost couldn’t hold back the groan that threatened to spill from the back of her throat. Why didn’t he say it earlier? Did he have to say it when she’d shoved Maria to the deepest part of her mind? Now, getting back control would be extremely tough.
Despite how much she wanted to, she couldn’t get herself to say no, so she just nodded in response, unlocking Maria, who pounced on the walls of her mind, causing her head to ache a little.
’Bitch.’ Maria cursed, stretching her paws, getting ready to be set free.
It had been a really long while since she’d been let out, but she hadn’t disturbed Bethany because they were in a city, and she knew that being let out meant scaring the humans, and possibly attracting enemies. Not to mention the stress it would put her mates through, but now she was finally given the opportunity, she was going to use it to the fullest.
Bethany sighed before nodding, slightly worried about what he was going to say about her wolf, because in comparison to his, she was pretty small, even though she was bigger than wolves of her age and stature.
"What’s the matter?" Theo asked, seeing the hesitation and worry on her face.
She quickly covered it up with a smile as she looked up to him, but dropped it when she saw that he’d seen it already.
"What is it, Princess?" He asked again, the concern in his voice deepening. "I know you’ve shifted before, and I heard your wolf is beautiful, so what’s the issue? You don’t want to run? If you don’t want to, we can go out for an early dinner or watch a movie." He tried to pacify, his eyebrows furrowed with worry.
