Fierce Daddy: His Million-Dollar Sweetheart
Chapter 349: Stay Humble, Don’t Be Arrogant
CHAPTER 349: CHAPTER 349: STAY HUMBLE, DON’T BE ARROGANT
"Preston, did you forget to bring money?" Mr. Price saw him return so quickly and thought he had forgotten to bring money.
"No, I think I just saw Leon Keane."
"Hmph, you’ve seen a ghost."
Mr. Price snorted coldly. That bastard Leon Keane wouldn’t even consider his grandpa in-law, so why would he kindly come to see Jackie?
Preston Pierce said nothing, turned, left the ward to buy breakfast, and the more he thought about it, the more it felt wrong. He was sure he hadn’t seen it wrong. The appearance, height, and clothing could only be Leon Keane himself.
What is Leon Keane doing at the hospital? And it’s the inpatient area.
Could Leon Keane be here to see a friend?
No, if he was visiting a friend, he should be carrying gifts. He must be here to see someone in his family.
Preston thought of Leon’s mother.
Could it be that Leon’s mother is also staying in this hospital?
Preston began to run inquiries with the doctors, but he couldn’t find anything logical. The doctors refused to disclose information about other patients, despite Preston claiming to be Leon Keane’s uncle.
Unconvinced, Preston returned to Lucas Pierce’s ward with breakfast. With a turn of thought, he started checking each ward, pretending to have walked into the wrong room since any ward wouldn’t be locked.
He searched throughout the entire ward area but couldn’t find "Leon’s mother" or "Leon Keane".
"How could this be? It shouldn’t be!"
Preston had a sudden thought that the tenth floor of this hospital building was for VIP rooms.
"Damn, having money makes a difference, no wonder I couldn’t find him in the regular wards no matter how hard I tried."
Preston said this very bitterly. He hurried to the tenth floor, which has a total of ten VIP suites, with two of them lit, indicating that someone must be there.
Preston was very fortunate; the first door he opened was Ivana Monroe’s room.
And inside, he saw Leon Keane.
Leon’s cold gaze pierced over.
Preston’s heart skipped a beat. Even though he was Leon’s uncle, he was still somewhat afraid of Leon. After all, he was also an employee of the Kane Group.
"P-President Kane."
"Get out."
Leon was displeased.
"I-I came to see your mother."
Preston nearly got frightened out of the room by Leon but steadied himself, looking around the ward for "Leon’s mother" because she absolutely wouldn’t drive him away and would even scold Leon.
Preston found the hospital bed, but who lay there was not "Leon’s mother," but a beautiful stranger, next to whom sat a little boy.
"Ian."
Preston mistakenly took Timmy Monroe as Ian Keane.
His curiosity about Ivana Monroe’s identity suddenly piqued. Could she be Leon’s new girlfriend?
Timmy didn’t speak up to correct Preston’s mistake; it seemed like his dad really disliked this "uncle," and he also didn’t want to talk to this stranger.
Seeing "Ian" ignore him, Preston felt uncomfortable but wasn’t surprised because the first time he saw Ian, Ian had that same indifferent look.
"My mother isn’t here. Get out."
Leon again ordered him out.
Preston blushed, feeling Leon was particularly disrespectful to him as an elder, especially in front of others. He pulled a long face and said, "Leon, is this the way you treat your elders?"
Leon strongly resented Preston using seniority to press him.
He was disgusted to the extreme with the Price family.
Leon said coldly, "I command you to leave, as the chairman of the company."
Preston choked.
He was almost exploding with anger. Leon always appeared so imperious and oblivious.
Did he think being the president of the Kanes was so remarkable?
He might as well quit now.
Anyway, Leon was about to transfer the Kane Micro in its entirety to Jackie soon. He didn’t care about the meager salary the Kane Group gave him.
"I quit, okay?" Preston uncharacteristically stood up to Leon. He didn’t dare offend Leon too much, but felt strongly unjust as Leon embarrassed him, so he said, "I can leave, but before I do, I have to say this: Leon, be low-key, don’t be too arrogant. Otherwise, people will think my sister didn’t raise you well, resulting in you being disrespectful to your uncle."
Preston said this and stormed out in anger.
Ivana was a bit surprised, "Is he your uncle?"
That would mean he was Leon’s mother’s brother?
Leon frowned, really disliking the way Ivana got to know his mother’s family.
If he could, he wished Ivana would never recognize them.
A bunch of disgusting leeches.
"Hmm, I’m not familiar with them." The implied meaning was for Ivana to ignore Preston whenever she saw him in the future.
Ivana didn’t pursue further questions. She could tell that Leon didn’t want to discuss it much.

Derrick Stern kicked Kiki Jennings very hard. She had been lying in the hospital for days before being discharged.
During her time in the hospital, she harbored a deep resentment and wanted to find someone to deal with Derrick, but ultimately because of money issues, nothing happened, since the Jennings Group had completely collapsed.
Kiki then shifted her hatred towards Ivana Monroe. She sent a message to Wayne Chandler: "Send me another copy of Ivana’s video."
Wayne didn’t respond.
Kiki was very angry and directly called.
The call was answered, and sounds of male and female pleasure came through.
Kiki screamed sharply, "Wayne, you bastard, you betrayed me?"
"Faye, how could you answer the call? So reckless."
Wayne growled low, and as for what he was doing with Faye, Kiki was very clear in her heart. She gripped her phone tightly, feeling extremely upset, not because she loved Wayne.
On the contrary, she didn’t like Wayne, but she couldn’t accept Wayne’s betrayal.
Wayne picked up the phone, gasping a few heavy breaths, leisurely said, "Heh... Miss Jennings, don’t joke around. Is there any betrayal between us? Your man is Leon Keane, and with me, it was just a handful of wild encounters, fulfilling mutual needs. Why put on a jilted face? For whom are you showing it?"
The Jennings Group had collapsed, and the Jennings family villa was confiscated to pay off debts. He had no interest in marrying a debt-ridden heiress.
Kiki cried, biting her lip to keep her sobs from emerging.
Did Wayne also think she was pathetic now? So much so that he didn’t even bother to pretend?
Once a proud heiress of the Jennings Group, she had fallen to such a state?
Kiki couldn’t accept it.
Kiki’s nails dug into her palm painfully as she gritted her teeth, "Wayne, I’ve given you plenty of benefits, and now I have only one request. Send me Ivana’s video again."
"It’s gone."
"How can it be gone? You’re lying to me," Kiki shouted.
"Gone means gone. Do I need to lie to you?"
"Then make me another copy right now."
"Bring the money, and I’ll find someone to do it for you."
