Fierce Daddy: His Million-Dollar Sweetheart
Chapter 370: I Really Admire You
CHAPTER 370: CHAPTER 370: I REALLY ADMIRE YOU
Ivana Monroe’s voice came through the phone, "This necklace is worth thirty million; as long as you tell me where the two kids are, I’ll give it to you."
Leon Keane gasped.
As he suspected, the kidnappers were not targeting Timmy and Ian, but Ivana.
Leon opened the car door, got into the luxury car, gripped the steering wheel with one hand, slammed the gas pedal down, and held the phone tightly to his ear. The voice of the thug in Ivana’s hospital room was not very clear.
Ivana repeated, "The little night club in the alley of Wine Port on Qinglong North Road..."
Leon noted down the address just as Ivana hung up the phone.
Leon immediately dialed Howard Yeats.
The call was quickly connected.
"Has the bodyguard you sent reached Ravenswood Hospital? My wife is in danger now," Leon’s voice was urgent and low.
"He’s there already, Leon, don’t worry. I’m on my way as well, just left the elevators in the in-patient department. By the way, what’s going on with you? Have you rescued the two kids?"
Derrick Stern called him, asking to send bodyguards over, and informed him about the kidnapping of the two kids.
Howard Yeats was initially incredulous, who in Ravenswood would be tired of living enough to dare kidnap Leon Keane’s children?
Howard found out from Derrick that Leon was carrying money to rescue the kids.
So he rushed to the hospital with a few bodyguards.
Ivana was his good friend’s wife and the idol goddess Ivy Linden admired; protecting Ivana was something he did without hesitation.
"No," Leon said deeply, "Their target isn’t the two kids, it’s my wife."
Howard frowned, his steps quickening, he saw a bodyguard soaked in blood lying on the floor in front of Ivana’s hospital room, the door to the VIP room seemed open.
"Damn it."
Howard cursed in anger.
"Leon, I’m almost at Ivana’s room, I’ll handle things here, you find a way to save the kids over there." Howard lowered his voice as he approached the hospital room.
"Okay." Leon hung up the phone.
The Bugatti Veyron didn’t turn around; it still sped quickly towards Ravenswood Hospital.
Since their target was Ivana, the two kids were safe for the time being, and right now, Ivana was who he worried about most.
Leon ran through red lights; luckily, at this time of night, there weren’t many cars on the road, otherwise, at his speed, it would definitely end in an accident.
Despite this, Leon felt the car wasn’t fast enough, as worry and fear filled his heart, wanting nothing more than to grow wings and fly instantly to Ivana’s hospital room.
Howard didn’t enter the room immediately but motioned for the bodyguards to stop. He tilted his head, cautiously peeking into the hospital room; not seeing the thugs, he frowned.
How could this be?
Leon just called, saying Ivana was in danger?
With confusion, Howard stepped into the room, seeing Ivana on the hospital bed, he was stunned. Ivana held a blood-dripping machete, and on the white hospital bed lay a severed, bloody hand.
The severed hand clearly wasn’t Ivana’s.
It belonged to one of the thugs.
Howard snapped back, he laughed, "You’re quite impressive, even lying in bed you managed to chop off a thug’s hand. Ivana, I truly admire you."
Howard looked at Ivana with admiration, in today’s society, most girls are fragile, only able to scream in the face of danger.
Someone as calm and courageous as Ivana, capable of such a counterattack, was very rare.
Ivana’s hands shook uncontrollably as she held the knife. Hearing Howard’s voice, her bloody machete nervously pointed at him.
Howard was startled by Ivana’s action.
Seeing Ivana’s expression still in fear, not coming to her senses, he raised his hands in surrender, "Ivana, I’m Leon’s good friend! We’ve met, take a closer look at my face."
Howard was trying to bring Ivana back to her senses.
Ivana looked up at Howard’s face, and within less than a second, as if holding a hot potato, she dropped the machete, reached for the phone by her leg, her fingers trembling as she unlocked the screen lock, and dialed Leon’s number.
At that moment.
Leon was still ten minutes away from the hospital.
Seeing it was Ivana calling, Leon’s heart tightened harshly; he answered the phone, Ivana’s crying voice came through.
"Leon, the two kids were kidnapped to the little night club in the alley of Wine Port on Qinglong North Road... please save them, hurry..."
Hearing Ivana’s sobbing, yelling.
Leon’s tense heart relaxed somewhat at this moment.
His voice hoarse, "Honey, tell me you’re safe now!"
He needed to be sure Ivana was safe before he dared go to save the two kids.
Ivana’s tears streamed down, her voice choking, "I’m fine now, I’m fine. Leon, I beg you, you must rescue the two kids."
Does this kind of thing need Ivana to plead?
Her children were his as well!
Leon felt uncomfortable, but hearing Ivana choking over the phone, he couldn’t bear to blame her.
She must have been terrified tonight.
Leon was heartbroken, his voice gently comforting her, "Alright, I promise you, I will bring the two kids back to you safe and sound."
Ivana nodded vigorously, "Mm."
Leon then said to Ivana, "Is Howard in your room? Give him the phone."
Ivana said, "He is."
She used the back of her hand to hurriedly wipe the tears from her face and handed the phone to Howard.
Howard took it, "Leon."
Leon only said one sentence, "Howard, please take care of Ivana until I return."
Howard frowned; he had planned to leave two bodyguards here, bringing others to support Leon, but now Leon was suddenly asking him to stay?
Howard looked at Ivana, his gaze deepening; this woman had completely captured Leon’s heart.
The son was no longer more important than the wife.
Howard said, "Okay."
Hung up the phone.
Howard remained in Ivana’s hospital room, while Leon turned the car around, racing toward the little night club in the alley of Wine Port on Qinglong North Road.
Outside Ravenswood Hospital.
Two men and one woman, hiding pathetically in a dark corner, one man’s hand severed, his face twisted in pain, drenched in cold sweat, but biting down, not daring to express his pain.
Because two unfamiliar, strong men holding guns suddenly appeared outside.
"Hawk, what should we do now? Should we turn back?" Julia Sinclair was troubled, this Blackie was useless, a grown man couldn’t handle Ivana and instead got his hand chopped off by her, wailing in pain.
Hawk feared Blackie would faint from blood loss in Ivana’s room, so he dragged Blackie and her away, fleeing Ivana’s hospital room in haste.
